The smile that will break hearts!!
Buenos tardes. With dark nubes over the montañas, time to jot down some notes. Currently 430pm and the familia is out at the playa, home in an hour or so.
The día? Bex had overnight duty and Max woke up a few times, saying "hello Momma" and then either falling asleep, or put into the "sleeper hold" until he did fall asleep.
Up at 530am...wide awake. Bubba took over at 630am and the boys had their usual AM rutinas.
Tranquilo time today included sitting in my lap as I downloaded the fotos from playa Mojon, with Max pointing at each one and saying "there" and "other day".
Huge desayunos and then a prowl to run some errands, secret errands, and then we cam back to the CP, jumped into the camioneta verde and were off to Sorianas. No scores there, just loaded up for the weekend.
Max was well behaved, but had a little "I have been awake for 5 hours" session at 1030am. What happened? He scored a globo, balloon, in Sorianas and as we were leaving, he kept letting it go. It was going to drift onto the parking lot, and Max's ojos became huge, as he knew he was not allowed to chase it there.
I grabbed it twice, reminding him to hold onto it, and on the third time he let it go...boom. Cheapo Mexicano globos!! But Max wanted another and became upset. That lasted 30 seconds as I hustled him into the truck and asked him to "help" me with the windows, using the button he is not usually allowed to touch. Ta-da...happy niño.
Greeted by Bex when we arrived home, and then onto libros, leche y siesta.
A good nap and then the familia was onto their comida and then the playa. Me? Eat, gym, hola hola to Daniel and then home to putter. Not much to do today, the familia set me up for the PM rutina...gracias!!
So..onto the fotos.
Hecho en Mexico...is that why he does not smile?
There we go...a grin.
Note the sliding foot.
I asked Max if he was sliding his foot so it would be closer to the sprinkler and "maybe" get wet. This is the look I get...I think I know the answer. Oh Max!!
Not sure what he is doing here. He looks a little drunk, or maybe is doing the Mr Roboto dance move?
Max hears something.
But cannot see it.
Poppa?
The grin...he has spotted the helicoptero.
We get a few large airplanes flying over head, but not many helicopteros. Max learned about them from a book he is read, as well as during our time in DF when we watched them from the hotel lounge.
Max loves his ganas, frogs. We were too early today and they were still dormido, asleep.
Hey, I have a great idea. How about we set up a stage in the middle of the calle...with no warnings to on coming carros. Doph.
Daniel tells me that there is a Día de las Madres event being held there tonight at 6pm...Mexico time...which means 630pm or 7pm.
Going on four years living here in Mexico, and I still forget, mi olvido, that Día de las Madres in Mexico, is always on 10 de mayo, not the 2nd Sunday of May like in Canada!!
Max spotted some niños in the kiosko, and looked at me for my ok. Of course, we always have time to play with niños.
Here, Max has commandeered their carro and is driving it on the railing.
Here, all 3 of them look down at the sidewalk...where the car that Max threw, has landed. He had seen the older niño do it, so he thought it was ok to do as well. Oh Max!
Play time ended about then. The lil'niño gave Max an "air swat", it did not touch him, and I explained that we do not throw toys, let alone toys that are not ours. Max's reply? "Throw THIS car".
No more playing, all that was left was to show off the sexy belly and move on.
From ayer, at playa Mojon.
Pretty big olas to be swimming in...and a strong current too.
No, sand has not returned to that end of the playa. The olas have scraped away the rocks and exposed more sand. Doph.
The hotel workers were now digging a large trench on the opposite side of the building. I am sure they are worried as rainy and stormy season has not even started yet.
We looked at buying the property on the headlands.
Great views and great breezes, with a ton of problems. No access in rainy season, you have to drive through someones property during dry season, no agua and due to it being so close to high tide, most if not all of the property is in the FZ, Zona Federale.
Max y madre hanging out in the stones.
Not for long, as Max grabbed the pelota and was outta there. Here he is keeping an ojo on the incoming olas.
Flaps up...time to make a break for it!!
I don't even need to be near them to know what is being said. "Max, you cannot throw your ball into the oceano!!".
Post chat...all is well.
The arm of a professional? Where is Jerry Maguire?
Note the blurry'ish fotos? I have and I am working on it. The fotos are crisp when downloaded to iPhoto, but as soon as you crop them, they get fuzzy. Lots of talk on the net about this, but no real solutions yet. Someone mentioned using Google's Picasa, and I will give it a go, and stay tuned.
Any solutions out there?
Max's ball toss.
Ok, 515pm, the pollo is cooking, Bex is checking work emails, and Max is busy watching WordWorld. He loves the videos and they reinforce what we are teaching him about words and letters.
That's all for today. Race sábado, a local playa on domingo and then off for dinner.
Buen fin de semana y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
