After a long bici tour, no better way to cool down then a dip in the CP alberca!!
Kidding. We soaked our pies, feet, and then I also dipped Max, up to his armpits, into the alberca. So when we got out, off came the panale and on went the shorts we had taken off to keep dry.
Buenos trades...already 1240pm and lil'man should be awake in 30 minutos or so. Tough for Bex to get the lil'man to fall asleep for his siesta...because he woke up at 645am!!! Score!!
Easy bedtime last night, not much TNT (toss n'turn), a few wake ups that were easy to solve, and then the 445am wake up. I was woken up with the words "leche por favor" as well as "super snugs please".
No was around it, so I gave Max his leche, showed him how dark it was outside, explained we were over an hour away from videos, and I promptly fell asleep with him on the bed next to me...sucking away on his leche.
He passed me his empty bottle, "all done", and he too fell asleep. If there is day light when we open our ojos, that is a great thing!!
In between, the only thing that made me stir, was the long temblor, tremor, that happened around 5am.
According to that web site, the quake was a 5.8 with an epicentre about 200km away from Huatulco.
After we were awake, there were only 15 minutos of videos and then into the palacio for play time y tranquilo time. Onto the huge desayunos, "no like melon", and we were ready for a loooooong tour.
Friggin humido, but packing lots of agua, so off we went. We ended up giving the tienda de fruta (not our normal one) a 2nd chance at piña, and scored on a good haul, again for $10 pesos.
Off to the sombra of the school yard and Max and I enjoyed our piña and Max guzzled down the jugo that was left over. Score!!
Good tour and then home for a little foot cool down in the alberca, before heading up to say hola hola to madre. I always enjoy watching Max race to his madre, and then very excitedly tell her what he has experienced since he last saw her. Today he was very excited to tell Bex about the new paloma nest we discovered near the CP alberca!!
Libros, leche and after a lot of time...the siesta occurred.
So, with Max asleep, and the familia headed off to playa Mojon when he wakes up...onto the fotos.
Every morning I get Max to guess what fruta his madre has prepared for us, and every day he guesses banana and then when he see the banana, he says "Momma so friendly".
Here is the plato de fruta that greeted us this morning.
Ready for the tour, but first, watch this hulk out. Beware!!
And with that out of the way, off we go.
Beware the tongue!!
Note the linea in the sidewalk, before the rampa starts. Max knows this is where he must stop before we look for traffic and cross the calle.
Some peeps coming and saying "hola Max" made these two turn around. Moments before, Max was having a nice conversation with this senorita.
He may not like everyone coming up and saying hola, or looking for besos, or wanting to just touch him, but if he sees someone he wants to meet, he has no problem going right up to them.
Like we didn't see this coming?
Hey lil'man, wanna skinny dip?
Oh Poppa, you are sooo silly.
Ok, that's all for now. I will finish this off esta noche.
Hasta pronto.
Buenos noches!! A little bit of a shorter siesta, wide awake'ish at 1pm. Loaded up the truck and we were off to the playa.
Dark skies were looming and el sol disappeared the moment we got into the camioneta. Max was a-ok on the way to the playa, just eager to get out of the truck!!
We lit the carbon and within 30 minutos we were eating gorilla cheese sandwiches and then a few salchicha chasers!!
And then...a few light showers (and some good lightning) happened. Post lightning, Bex y Max went in the oceano for some jumping in the olas!! In front of our lot, the water was shallow and awesome olas for the lil'dude. Down the beach further...call in the gals from Baywatch. Bigger olas, big drop offs and some strong rip currents.
While the safe swimming was going on, Poppa cleaned up and moved what I could back into the camioneta to stay dry.
I pitched the sombrilla under the palapa, and our chairs and coolers would be dry. The palapa we have is strictly for shade, it is not one of the rain proof ones.
Off to join the familia in del mar and then as they strolled the playa, I had some tranquio time and just as we were about to get ready to go, a few more light showers. We loaded up, headed home, did our playa clean up, cooking, more clean up and then tina time.
Currently 715pm and round 1 is under way!! A few playa Mojon fotos?
Over playa Mojon, the nube obscura were rolling in.
A light sprinkle of lluvia does not deter Max (y madre) and his carretilla.
A little bit more arena (sand) has washed up...or been exposed.
And to see how far the high tide mark has moved in the past 7 or 8 years, here is what playa Mojon looked like before we bought our lot. The arrow points to where the hotel stands, and where the high tide laps at it's foundation.
Yikes...global warming?
Misc...so I read that Rob Ford's Cadillac was impounded because the driver was impaired? The driver? Some senorita that Rob met in rehab. Oh, it just gets better. I can see him winning another term as Mayor in a landslide!!
Ok, that's it mis amigos.
Hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
