The lil'man test driving Poppa's Oakleys.

Buenos tardes. It smells like Bubba's chili in here!! Currently 430pm and the chili is stewing, the wash is drying, the casa is clean, Bubba had a dip in the CP alberca, and the familia is out. The note said they were off to the playa and then maybe pop in and say hola to the play group...y Max's novia, Danica.

So, time to tell you about the día. Ohhhhh, it was an early one and at 515am, Max is telling me "miss Momma", "leche por favor" as well as "videos.

Rocking did not work...argh. We had 45 minutos of "I love you Poppa" and then at 615am it was video time, then tranquilo time and onto the huge desayunos. Good news...we finished off some Raisin Bran without any Max puke!! Hey, take the victories when they happen!!

Sunny day, so we were off for a bici tour. Due to the early wake up, our scheduled return was 1030am, and after having already toured to Blvd Chahue and were headed down calle Gardenia, I checked the watch...only 930am. Doph...and it was hot.

No problems...hola hola to the school yard, a visit with Polly, a tour 2 block further then we normally go, pit top at Poopie Loopie for some meats and such...and ta-da....1030am!!

Home for leche, libros y siesta. Quite amazing how all of a sudden one day Max decided that 90 minutos was all he would sleep for. And today was no different....1pm he sits straight up and is ready to go.

For me, post siesta, it was my comida, off to el gimansio and then home. The familia cooked up some pollo for Max's cena as well as some huevos for madre (Max "no like these huevos") and then they too were off.

And you are up to date. Onto the fotos.

A few 3rd floor (segundo piso) landing poses...pre-tour.

Oh yes, Max can bust a move too!!

And as he takes a bow...we were outta there!!

While Poppa was paying the gas bill, $1000 pesos for 2 months, Max is patiently waiting to go go go!!

All that bici'ing around makes you hambre y sediento. Time for a pit stop in the sombra....Cherrios y agua.

I was sitting in the shade as Max toured the school grounds, and I saw this familia park their carro and head down the calle. The señora spotted Max wheeling around and she told her familia to look at Max.

I asked Max if he wanted to go over and show them his bici, and off he went. He wheeled up, got off, picked up the bici and presented it to the señora for her inspection.

Just as he did that, her 2 niños ran off to catch their padre, and Max thinking it was time to play, leaves the bici with the señora and starts chasing after the kids.

He quickly saw that it wasn't play time, turned around and went back to the friendly señora, collected his bici and waved adios.

It was an interesting tour in the sense that Max was making a conscious effort to say hola and/or wave at peeps. The past few days he has missed some key opportunities to say hola or gracias, and we have talked to him, and it might have sunk in.

It was nice to see the smile on peeps that always wave or say "hola Max", but were used to not getting anything in return, but today got a hola or chico wave.

There was a moment of Max fear when we came upon 2 muy amable hombres who work in a restaurante that we pass by regularly. It so happens they are both Italiano and as we came by and said hola, they were about to leave and said "ciao".

You should have seen the look on Max's face as he hugged my leg tight. I explained to the hombres about "Ciao Ciao man" and they know him, and laughed. They were concerned that Max was scared, so they started speaking ingles and told Max "bye bye".

Things returned to normal once they were on their moto and were gone. Yikes...another block of a calle that Max does not like to go up. Oh well...we will work on this with him.

Fotos from ayer, playa Mojon.

Once upon a time, the high tide mark was 60-70 meters away from this water well. Not anymore. As well, the sand from the playa covered the well up to the first ring. Not anymore. But...last week the third ring was visible, but over the past week the sea has brought in 1 meter of rocks.

That would be the hotel. Oh oh.

I had to cross in front of the hotel to catch up with Max y madre, and snapped these from the hotel steps.

Not only do you hear the olas coming and going, you hear the constant sound of the rocks being swept up the playa and then back into the oceano.

Looking down from the bottom step.

Having safely made it across, I saw that this new casa has already built themselves retaining walls all around their building. Note the cross, to protect the trabajadores.

And look who is coming out of the jungla.

This is what playing on the beach at playa Mojon currently looks like.

To find sand, you walk 5 minutos down the playa, and then as you set up camp, the olas come over a 3 foot lip and flood you.

But it looks like Max does not mind. Madre?

Ahhhh....she does not mind either!!

Ok, that's all. Almost time for the familia to return.

Hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
