After sitting in his carretilla, Max then said "Poppa push". Oh Max.
Buenos noches and welcome to another hot day in Huatulco.
Bex had night duty and if there was a 530am request to change his soaking wet panale, he would have slept in until 630am!! We must find a panale that can handle the 3 litros that Max drinks before he goes to bed!!
Poppa took over at 630am and the boys started their AM rutina...by watching some of the Nascar race!! Come on...630am and the lil'man is sitting in my lap as we watch the cars racing by? It was enjoyed by both of us!!
Onto desayunos and then off for a prowl...with the wheel barrow!! Hoping that Max was only tired, but he did have less energy then normal. Hopefully it was due to the early rise!!
A good prowl, lots of breaks and lots of agua.
A little breakdown as we were about to reach the CP gates. What happened? We ran into Ciao Ciao...yup, the "friendly monster". Max is scared poopless of this Italiano, and if you are not right next to him when he sees the hombre, his heart pounds and the tears flow.
It took 5 minutos to calm him down...all the while his heart was pounding. You have to feel bad for a lil'man who is so scared of something.
Hugs from madre helped...as did 2.5 bottle of leche and of course the libros. Siesta time and it was a longer one, no complaints if it helps him make it through the rest of the day in one piece...or is it peace?
Post siesta I was headed out to el gimnasio and came home expecting to find out the familia had headed to playa Santa Cruz after their comida.
The note said that the lil'man made an audible and wanted to go to the CP alberca instead. I was about to join them when I heard the unmistakable crying of Max. He needed leche and he had bonked his head for the 4th time. Oh Max.
I helped keep Max tranquilo while Bex got them ready to go to Rosarios Palacio...which quickly became a trip to the parque instead. What another change of plans? Oh Max!!
Clean up, watch last nights News and now it is update time...and in a few minutos, off to cook la cena.
But first...the fotos!!
First pose of the day.
Hey Poppa!!
Here is your smile!!
I cannot count the number of times in a day that we stop, to look at something behind us.
Agua break.
We pit stopped a a tienda de telas and picked out some fabric for a new bandana. We will take it to the tailor for the sew job, but Max wanted to wear it right away. Like it?
Max, feeling fuerte in his new bandana, stopped in to his gym for some more chin ups.
But now he is tired out and is puckering up for Cheerios y agua.
Feet crossed...relaxing.
Canela and the dog whose name I can never recall....Chispa!! (cheeespa)
Kinda looks like Ikea on wheels eh?
And right about here, Max lost his energy and Poppa was now in charge of the wheel barrow. Max sat on the curb, pulled the wheel barrow closer to him and said "no one steal it".
Another pit stop, this time for some plátanos for madre. Moments after this, as we were crossing the calle, Max spotted Ciao Ciao.
From ayer at playa Mojon.
Our playa is now all rocks. Tough to pitch the sombrilla there, or to build sand castles and cocinas.
I looked back at some fotos from May 2013 and the same thing happened to the playa then as well. We should see lots of sand again...in November. Yikes.
Big olas and strong winds. Max LOVED the olas grande as both his padres were there as lifeguards!!
Del mar has eroded almost 2 meters of this hillside.
Terry's casa has withstood the first test of the season. I suspect the new concrete wall will be fine, but the lower stone barrier will be gone by next season.
Just like the one in front of the hotel.
The trabajadores worked long and hard to get the extra layer of protection built in front of the hotel. The work done was the addition of the stairways and they were built down at least 2 meters. Buen suerte!!
Buenos noches!!
Max y Bex had a great time in the parque coming back with wet sneakers and lil'man knees, all scraped up!!
Good dinner and then off to clean up, tina time and at 7pm, round one is under way. Wish us luck!!
Not sure when our next trip to playa Mojon is. Tough to cook in hurricane winds and the playa is not exactly a fun place to play on. Max did like the new steps at the hotel, as they have built some foot baths in, and they have become Max's private alberca!!
Have a great martes y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
