Headed out for our AM prowl, Max spots our cleaner, Gwen arriving, and gives her the wacky Max Van hola hola.
Buenos tardes. Currently 1245pm and the lil'dude is having his siesta and when he wakes up...off we will go to playa Mojon.
So...time to jot down some notes and add captions to some fotos.
A very good night. No post 10pm wake ups, just a stir or 4. Warm noche and at 330am, I gave Max a preemptive panale pit stop...no wet cuna today!!
Stirring at 5am...into the bed he went and we slept until 6am. Score!! Vids at 615am and then tranquilo time until the huge desayunos!!
It had rained this morning, so it was wet out and did not feel safe with Max on the bici, so off we went for a loooooong prowl. A good prowl, and Max was pooped when we returned around 1030am for the libros, leche y siesta.
We have been doing some reading...and Max drinks waaaay too much leche. They say it can effect iron absorption, leading to fussy eaters. And if they fill up on leche, niños may not eat their complete comidas, missing out on other vitaminas etc.
So...one bottle in the morning, one before siesta and one in the afternoon. That also means he does not have "leche dientes" when he goes to sleep at night...a big cause of tooth decay.
Ok...you are caught up....onto the fotos.
A pre-prowl pose.
Turns into a posing session. Oh Max!!
When I asked Max what the heck he was doing, he sat down and took the time to explain it to me.
"If you got it...you gotta flaunt it!!". Hmmm, I guess that explains it.
Always time to stop and smell the "beautiful flowers" as Max calls them.
Screeching to a halt, Max is taking the lesson of keeping your tenis dry, very seriously.
Not easy to pass Max if you are walking behind him.
A pause?
Poppa...people!! Check out those locks of hair!!
Where there is one hand on the rope...
Soon there will be two...trying to unwind the spool!! Oh Max!!
You want to mess with this?
Finding his amigo Coqueto staying dry out of the showers, Max stops in to say hola.
A few fotos from lunes...via the crappy Sony DSC W730?
Max, geared up and ready to go to the playa with his madre, takes a pit stop to catch up and see what Winnie has been up to.
Madre y padre are very happy that Max likes to read "old school" using books, as well as using the iPad.
Mondays are quiet at playa Santa Cruz.
Max, buckets, sand, and his favorite camioneta.
Note the expression. We have discovered that Max is VERY particular about keeping his truck clean.
Some super friendly peeps took the time to show Max their parrot.
What I found interesting about this experience is how friendly the peeps were, how often Max looked at his madre for confirmation, and how after Max did not say gracias (and had a chat with his madre about that), when he came home, all he wanted to talk about was the fact that he did not say gracias. He was quite concerned about it, as we tell him it is not friendly y it is maleducado.
I will finish this off esta noche. Wish us luck at playa Mojon!!
Hasta pronto.
Buenos noches!! 715pm and round one of bedtime is under way.
We had a good siesta and after a quick change into beach gear, we loaded up the camioneta and hit the road for playa Mojon.
Max was a great passenger, coming and going...phew. Once at Mojon, we found a very high tide, no added sand, high winds and a crazy strong current...not the best conditions.
But the boys cooked up their gorilla cheese sandwiches and then we were off for some playtime. We did make an attempt at swimming...waaaaay too dangerous. Not only were the olas grande and crashing near shore, you were getting sucked out to sea.
Playtime was mainly Mom and Max, but then they moseyed their way back to the palapa and we had some chill time before heading home at 445pm.
Go go go once we got home, a mix of casa clean up, Mojon clean up and cooking la cena as well. Not much to do with Polish salchichas and arroz!!
Max ate a ton, we cleaned up, hit the tina and ta da...bedtime.
Gotta go...back soon...I hope.
8pm...score!! The lil'man was pooped out again. It took only 30 minutos with his Poppa...ayer it was almost an hour. Who knows why?
So, time to finish the blog update, take care of a few loads of wash, watch the News...and then call it another day.
Misc
Things heard coming out of Max's boca? The occasional time we will catch Max singing the theme to Gilligan's Island...the complete version!! He is now working on the theme to Spiderman..."catches thieves just like hives" "is strong? Listen Bud, he's got radioactive blood" etc.
And today? I could not see him in his palacio, so I asked where he was and I am told "gone somewhere". Cheeky niño. And then during a lull in tranquilo time, I hear Max backing up Bob Marley with the "stand up, stand up" portion of the song Get up Stand Up. Max Van....rastafarian?
That's all mis amigos. Playa Mojon fotos mañana.
Hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
