From our breakfast time ayer, and having finished his granola con canela, Max has left NO evidence that he drank the canela leche straight out of the bowl!! Oh Max!!

Buenos tardes!! Just into the il'man's siesta, and off to playa Mojon when he wakes up, so time to jot down a few notes. Some funny fotos to follow, so read on.

A great bedtime...lights out and in the cuna 35 minutos after The Niño Whisperer took over from madre. Score!!

And the night was good as well. A 10pm "where am I?" wake up, followed by a 430am request for a dry panale, and then after being plopped back into the cuna, it was ojos open at 615am. Score!!

Max was very proud that we did not need the alarm set to watch videos, and he explained it to me this way..."Max close eyes, Poppa hold manos, Max sleep longer".

Videos, a prompt 715am wake up by Max and the iPad, tranquilo time, a big desayunos and then onto the bici tour.

A good tour and then home to soak the pies in the pool again, a great way to cool down from the hot tour.

Upstairs to listen to Max tell his Momma about what the boys have been up to, then onto leche, libros and lights out for the siesta.

So...onto the fotos.

Check out these expressions...the story will follow.

Hmmm...maybe I should have some more?

Ok...why the faces? In the breakfast tray, madre had left us some limon and the squeezer, and we had squeezed some jugo de limon onto the manzanas, and Max really enjoyed it. He also likes jugo de limon on his jitomates, so he decided to squeeze some jugo into the bowl and drink it.

I warned him it was like the time he licked the limon at Los Portales, but he had to try it for himself...not once, but twice. Hilarious!! And yes, he had some agua to rinse out his boca!!

Pre-tour poses.

Pit stop.

Humido, so we went to the canchas de básquetbol and their shade.

And then onto the campo to watch the futbolistas. Check out the pelota naranja that has just been kicked for a penalty shot.

Gooooooooal!!!

Misc

From this morning, as heard coming out of Max's boca.

"oh my goodness gracious me" after dropping something on the piso

"Poppa getting organized" as he waits patiently for Poppa before he can open his kitchen drawer and get out his "tools" (plastic knife, flashlight and the quiet cloth"

"no like chewy" as he eats ripe Kiwi

"Momma eat lot" as he spots 2 M&M wrappers in the basura...quickly followed by "Max eat some"

"Momma so friendly" when he sees the fruta she has cut him para desayunos

That's it for now. I will finish this off esta noche!!

Hasta pronto.

Buenos noches!! Tonight's 90 minuto bedtime, yes 90 minutos, was brought to you by the palabra "timido"...scared. After 15 minutos of man chat, Max decided to run down the list of who he is timido of, and for some reason, he mentioned Ciao Ciao man about 10 times.

A little info on this timido? Only a few weeks ago, Max did not want to say hola, adios o gracias, but now he is actually scared about doing it, and asks us not to say hola to peeps. It is the time in his life (short time we hope) where he is scared of peeps. Stranger (but they are not strangers) anxiety?

Today on our tour, he heard me explain to many peeps that he was timido, and then as we came back from the alberca and were about to head upstairs, we passed Marcos y Adel, who both said hola. Max told them he was timido, the first time I had hear him use the word, and it is now part of his vocabulary.

We agreed on a list of peeps we would say hola to and the other peeps we will say "timido", which will still make them smile. Stay tuned.

So, after 45 minutes with his Poppa, Max was in his cuna, but not falling asleep. I scooped him up out of his cuna, gave him 2 minutes of rocking, and plopped him back into his cuna...fast asleep. Oh well.

How was the afternoon? Shorter siesta then normal, and then we loaded up the camioneta verde and were off. Overcast afternoon so it was cooler...no complaints!!

No BBQ today...sandwich for Bubba and Bex made Max a great smorg...a choice of pollo, pavo meat, queso and jitomate. Throw in a piña snack bar and he was ready for a few hours of playa time.

Why would Bex be tired tonight? Playing chase with her niño!! Max had a blast and then it was swim time.

Usual mix of chico y grande olas and the rip tide was strong today. We worked our way over to the headlands and found a spot where we could ride the olas, grande included, but also had a sure footing.

We could not let Max float on his own...he would have floated to Pochutla, but after we explained it to him, he understood why and was a-ok.

Post swim...tranquilo time for Poppa while the familia wheeled the barrow down the dirt road, kicking up a Max Van dust storm.

Into the camioneta and on the road by 445pm, and then the darn engine noise, el ruido, started up. I really just want the noise to stick around so I can have Tony diagnosis it, and then we can decide how nasty the repair job will be.The truck is due to be driven 6000km norte in 11 meses...stay tuned.

Home by 515pm and after a clean up, the boys cooked up la cena. Max helped with the garlic butter, the arroz and the gravy. I took care of the camarones and the leftover cerdo and ta-da....la cena.

Good eats and Max ate a HUGE plateful!! Yogurt for dessert, a few viewings of the Spiderman theme song on YouTube (with Max singing along of course), clean up time, tina time and then the loooooong but painless bedtime.

And that mis amigos, was el día.

Big race day mañana!!

Have a great domingo y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
