Buenos noches mis amigos!!
My oh my…what the heck had
we been thinking? Today we interviewed and hired someone to clean our house
once a week…she spent 3 hours here and it will cost us $200 pesos…$15.75/Cdn.
Best $16 we have ever spent.
Barrato…sí, but she would
be making $20 pesos an hour if she was still working at the hotels, so we both
win.
Top 7 reasons from peeps that
said they would come to Max’s fiesta, but did not?
-hungover
-family was ill (the whole
family)
-lots of work at home
-wife would not let me go
-I had to work (even
though they take 2 hour lunches)
-son was ill
-out of town
On lunes, I gave Amy y
Betto the gears for not coming to the fiesta and told them they were persona
non grata until miercoles, hoy.
Here is sheepish Amy,
happy to be “todo bien” con Max y padre.
Betto seemed quite
relieved as well. I was giving them the gears, but was disappointed they could
not make it after saying they would.
How did sleep training go?
Let’s just say that we are taking a new approach…method #97-B.
We have to get Max
accustomed to his cuna, because he has spent very little time in it. That means
we get him to fall asleep old school, and then will put him into the cuna.
In a few days, when we
know he is comfortable and sleeping about the same as when he was in the big
bed, we will start putting him into the cuna while sleepy, but still awake.
We tried that last night,
but waaaaay too much change for the lil’guy…and remember, he is just a lil’guy.
So, stay tuned.
Mojon? Will be calling the
local satellite internet guy mañana and see where that goes. As for this winter
season, I have a good quote from Roman to clean up the lot, add some more arena
to the palapa and also replace the palm leaves on the palapa. We should be
styling and ready to go.
The plan is that right
after Max’s first nap, off we go to Mojon, spend a few hours there and he can
either nap in the hamaca or in the truck on the way home. Might need to invest
in a cheapie BBQ and have some burgers and suds on the playa!!
I will also need to get to
Pochutla because at the lunes tiangus, we saw some great fireworks and Fin de
Año is tight around the corner!!
Oh oh, as Max would say.
We just saw anther news clip on Global regarding a Canadian getting murdered in
Mexico. Time to remind everyone that we live in a VERY safe town, in one of the
safest estados in all of Mexico. Deep breath everyone….all is good.
Weather? Sunny during the
day, still warm at 33,0 grados, but no humido!! Nice and cool at night…phew.
A piece of advice for anyone
moving here? Be prepared for your electronic items to take a beating. What has
broken down? In the past it was car alarm and remotes, car air con, the flash
on my Canon camera, my indoor/outdoor thermometer and now? My iPod is on the
fritz. Doph.
Let’s wrap up Max’s
cumpleaños…
Click HERE to see a GREAT
video that was made my Max’s prima, cousin, Nicole.
Did you see my dancing hermano? Priceless!!
And after finally getting
time to delete some fotos off the Mac, I was able to load the fotos Samuel took at Max’s
fiesta using the otra camera.
Sergio y su hija.
Daniel Jr y madre, Daphene.
And with Daniel...padre.
Bubba the host, restocking the pingüinos...translates to penguins.
Uninvited guest who was eating the globos...balloons....and leaving behind some not so subtle reminders of it's visit.
Peeps are under an umbrella...do I need to move the food?
Sergio y su esposa.
Y hija...again.
And how was the pastel we
forgot to bring out at the fiesta?
Oh so yummy!! Ja ja ja No, we did not eat it all. After eating 1/2 the first night, we farmed some (but not all) out to some CP peeps.
And from the past few
days, here are the rest of the fotos.
Max exploring the 3rd floor (or 2nd floor if you are Mexican) landing before we head out for a walk.
Madre has taken up photography.
Look at the size of Max's bottles!!
Career decision time. In a band playing bongos or a guitar....or use the stethoscope in his hand, and become a doctor!!
Tough call...guitar might be leading the votes.
Looks like we have the next Jimi Hendrix!!
Or maybe Max will own a construction company?
From a walk to el gimnasio, la cena for some peeps in the mountain...but only an iguana here in Huatulco.
What you looking at Willis?
Someone loves his madre!!
From the same walk to el gimnasio.
This is a tienda de platicos y importaciones.
Uhhhh...not sure what is up with the suntanning dolls.
It happens to be a signed copy of the book that Bex created the covers for....doph.
Looks like he will be an avid reader!!
Reading always pooped me out as well!!
Oh madre...more buck naked fotos?
This niña was waiting for her padre to come out of the tienda de madera, lumber store. I saw the,m drive off on the scooter...2 peeps, no cascos and four long wood posts....doph.
Tina time for the lil'guy.
Here he is looking at the Mac as I brought it into the baño and we were having a FT with Max's tía Ione y familia.
Mañana…more of the same
and NOT complaining!!
Have a great jueves!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
