Buenos noches!!
I am told that the YouTube video from ayer, did not make it due to some copyright issues. So here it is in a different format.
A blur of a day. Currently
8pm and Max is asleep in his cuna, madre is prepping some food for mañana, and
I have one ojo on the blog, one on Global News and one on the monitor!!
Max in the cuna? Oh it
sounds soooo much better then it is. He will not fall asleep on his own in bed
or in the cuna. Again, we don’t need to rock him, but he needs to fall asleep
in our arms.
So we did that again today
and I plopped him in his cuna with the goal being that he gets familiar with
the environment and in the VERY near future, we work on getting him to fall
asleep on his own. Stay tuned.
Some good news? Max is
weaning himself off the boob and has dropped all feedings between midnight and
7am…and that is a miracle!! Ja ja ja
As for today, why a blur?
Bex spent the night with Max in the otra recamara and was awoken many times
during the night. And what time did Max decide he was going to wake up and stay
awake? Uh, can you say 545am? Huh?
So Bex tried to get him
back to sleep but it was a no go. So as agreed, it was my turn to take over and
off we went. Well, not really as we had some male bonding time by lounging
around on the bed for 30 minutes!!
Usual AM rutina, but we
decided a nap was needed before any walk…padre was pooped!! Lol
Good nap and when we woke
up, no walk…but Che instead.
We were going to pay the
water bill on the way, but in true Mexican fashion, there was a blockade of
dump trucks and the such. Por que? Looks like the peeps were not happy with
Fonatur and how much they were paying for the services provided.
So off to Che and Max and
I prowled the aisles. He is such a well behaved niño when we are out, a true
pleasure to share when we are out and about!!
Loaded up on cranberry
juice as I am weaning myself from the Coca Light and it is successful so
far…but there seems to be a ton of azucar in the jugos!! Argh.
Any good scores? They
wheeled in the real leche while we were there, and we grabbed a carton that
actually has a weeks shelf life on it….muy raro!!
Nothing else
exciting…still hoping on the cheddar cheese!!
We headed home and madre
greeted us so I could unload and unpack while the two of them prowled around
the grounds.
Tiempo para comida for the
lil’guy and I puttered around getting ready for the gym.
I headed out to el gimnasio
and was joined to the gate by mi familia as they were headed out for their own walk...off to the pediatra to see if we can make a cita for Max's 1 year check up.
Good workout and then
grabbed some pesos from the banco and headed home where the two napsters had
just finished siesta #2.
Time for the afternoon
snack and then off to the pool and with the change in time….brrrrr….as the pool
is all in shade by 4pm or so.
But Max and I like it
cooler…lo siento madre!!
After the pool, some time
to spare before la cena and that is a tough time on the lil’guy as he gets
antsy before dinner. So padre took him for a walk and then when we came home,
madre occupies his time while I cook some rib-eyes.
It was a short walk but no
less then 10 peeps said hola to Max and Max again showed us his affectionate
side.
We ran into some niños we
had seen before and the youngest and smallest said hola. Max was in prowl mode
and he went over to the two boys and gave them both a hug at the same time.
The youngest niño seems to
like Max and seemed pleased about getting a hug from this lil’cute guy.
The last time we met, Max
gave this same niño one of his “hola, I am Max” head taps. So cute…he slowly
goes up to the person and with his head, he lightly taps theirs. And when it is
received, Max is on the moon!!
Great dinner and a good PM
rutina with a FT con mis padres and then off to bed and you are all caught up.
Misc
Bex’s español is great!!
She made two phone calls today and I was impressed!! I do much better face to
face as the person I am speaking with can help figure out what I am really
trying to say. But Bex did great on the phone.
One call was to the
internet hombre and I might go see him mañana now that we know where he is and
he knows who we are.
The other call was to
someone looking to rent G10 and we are the middle men on the renting as R&H
are in Portland until enero.
Ok, that’s it…a tranquilo
día if you ask me.
Mañana? Sunny, warm and
Max!!
Hasta luego.
Marco, Bexico y Max
