Buenos tardes!!

The familia is planning on an early night tonight…we are all pooped. Lil’man is fully congested, but fighting through the cold like a trooper.

Madre has hit the “wall” and needed Bubba to take over Max watch at 3am. Her coughing was baaaad and she could not sleep. She took a Neo and was lights out.

The lil’guy and I have spent almost the whole day together!!

3am until 5am was cuna time and then he needed some male bonding time and the two of us chest napped until 630am.

The usual AM rutina and as it was another early walk, we did not see too many of our amigos around the centro. It dawned in us why all the Chilangos are in town….mañana is Día de la Revolución and they all have a long weekend.

Normally after the first nap, madre takes over but today with her being under the weather, we sent her back to sleep.

That meant padre was serving Max his comida today…a first for the both of us!! Lunch is messsssssy!!! You strip Max down to his panale and then let him go at his lunch. And somehow it ends up all over him, the high chair and the floor!!

Now he normally gets one of madre’s world famoso sink baths…but that looks like waaaay too much work for padre. Solution?

Grab the highchair, with Max in it, and put them both in the shower and ta-da!!

Max did give me a look of “this is NOT how madre does it”, but he seemed to enjoy the experience.

After the shower, we had a few hours until siesta #2, so off we went in the camioneta.

No specific plan, but looking for things to do in the sombra, shade. So we booted down the highway, headed towards Copalita and then instead of continuing to Mojon, we took a right and headed towards La Crucecita.

Max was antsy and just in time, we saw Fred, so we pulled over to say hola.

Yes, his name is Fred and he lives with some trail caballos and is super easy going. Max normalmente loves todos animales, but was a little stand offish with Fred.

Adios Fred and only a few minutes later, we were at La Bocana which translates to “the mouth” and we were at the mouth of the Copalita River.

We have not been there for a long time as the playa disappeared during the summer and with Max, we had not been going to many playas other then Santa Cruz.

So it was nice to get back and nice to see they have set up a see-saw and swings for the niños of La Bocana…and visitors like Max!!

We parked, got Max out of his car seat and then I chased him as he chased a chicken that was out and about. Max, always thinking about la cena!! Lol

As we go to the top of the stairs that lead down to the playa, Max spotted the playa and the olas…and went NUTS!! He was sooo excited…not sure it was because of the waves that he does not see at Santa Cruz, or just because it has been a week since he has been to the beach.

But just look at these fotos and tell me if he was excited.

And then there was the reflective Max.

We said hola to some peeps at a restaurante and then some swinging and see-sawing (teeter totter?) and then it was time to head home for the second siesta.

Madre took that one and I went out to say hola to some peeps I have not seen in a week, since I became enfermo.

Had a good chat with Daniel and he told me about the bruja from the estado of Vera Cruz…the witches. I am going to have to Google that.

When the familia awoke from the nap, I puttered around the casa and they went for a walk.

An early cena and a quick PM rutina and you are all caught up.

Based on how the familia is feeling mañana, I might hit up el gimnasio and finally get to the internet hombre. Stay tuned.

Have a great martes y Felicidades to mi amiga Reiko-san who not only is celebrating her cumpleaños mañana, but is also getting married!!

Hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
