Hola!!! Keep reading as there are a ton of fotos in tonight’s update!!

FYI...sphell chek knot werking too knight.

The Mojon fotos from ayer.

The other half of the lot is now cleared.

We are starting to collect our madera for the Fin de Año bonfire.

Why would we want to live in a place that has this as a front yard?

These next ones are all about Max and his alberca and his pail.

He does not hold hands too often...cherish it when it happens!!

Someone has spotted his alberca.

This would be Max running!!

Thanks padre!!

When tired of having your own pool, step into a bucket.

And for you out there that say Max doesn't smile...here is proof he does!!

As for hoy...today? Madre had the night shift and shook me out of my slumber at 7am so I could take over Max time.

We had our AM rutina and today’s task was to get Max to eat his desayunos without being distracted by EVERYTHING!!

He sees the sink, he wants a sink bath. He sees his soothers, he wants a soother. And then he will point at other items, just to make sure I am aware that the ceiling fan and such, are still there.

So hola to the fridge, microwave, door etc. Ja ja ja

But that does lead us to talk about what words Max does understand. He is a smart lil’niño and is getting quite the memory for words.

The list?

Hola
Adios
Agua
Leche
Ventilador
No boca.
No tocar
Madre
Padre
Kow
Chico (his small guy Squatchi)

And probably a few more words as well. Great to teach him words and see him recall them!!

No walk during our rutina, as we jumped into the camioneta to take Jay to meet Raphael, mi mecanico amigo.

A quick tour around town and then home for siesta time. And after that, madre took over so I could meet up with Roman and have another Mojon meeting.

And how did that meet go? Excellent mi amigos, excellent!! And our excitement level has peaked again as this dream is more a reality then ever before!!

Still need to redo the plans and costing, then review EVERY detail that we have agreed upon and then make our final decisions. But if we say “Go”, we can have our beachfront casa ready in 9 to 12 months!!

We will end up with a 144 m2 casa, 2 levels, 2.5 baños, 2 recamaras, cocina, sala y a 225 ft2 roof top patio!! And what will the roof top look like? Something like this.

But with a view of the oceano!!

Stay tuned as we should have some new plans and numbers in a week to 10 days!!

Long meeting and then I bolted for the gym and when I came home, the familia was still zzzzz, so ate my ensalada and when everyone was awake, off to playa Santa Cruz for some playa time.

As per the usual, a great time for all…and some fish fotos to boot.

And as we were packing up to head home for hamburguesa viernes, Sandra from INM came out to say hola to us (ok, it was Max but said hola to us too!!) and gave us an invite to an INM event in diciembre.

They are holding a Día Internacional del Migrante event in Santa Cruz and there will be exhibits of artists, culture and food. Sandra asked if Bex would bring some of her work to display. Not sure we will do that, but we will attend and are honored to be invited.

Home for la cena and the PM rutina and what was new today? After a year and 4 weeks, Max is off the boobie!! Madre has been weaning him and tonight he had formula for his pre-bed snack.

And what made madre have a tear? Well after all that time with the lil’guy tanking up, there was the expected emotional attachment…but Max seems to have said adios to the boobie waaaaay too easy!! Oh Max, at least say gracias!! Ja ja ja

Currently 930pm and all is tranquilo in the casa….phew!!

And here are the rest of the fotos.

Max looking for padre's bellybutton.

Day one of Max drinking a fruit smoothie.

From this morning...guess who is ready to get out of his cuna.

Round two on the smoothie. Blue cup...smoothie. Red cup...leche.

Hmmmm....smoothie?

Hmmmm...leche?

Padre, the smoothie? Not so yummy today.

Max's favorite time of the day? Leche break con...oops, ON madre.

Mañana? El gimnasio and we’ll see if there is any leche at Che…how exciting!!

As for domingo? Sneak in some football and I am thinking we will make it to Mojon for some playa time.

Buen fin de semana.

Hola mis amigos!!

Late start to the blog…it is going to be short!! But mañana there will be some Mojon fotos!!!

A fun day…any day we take the lil’guy to Mojon is fun. A ton of work, but so much fun.

As for last night’s sleep…not going to jinx it by telling you what we did…but Max woke up at 5am again, but due to madre’s “plan”, I managed to get him back asleep and he slept until 7am!! 7am? The lil’niño hasn’t slept that late in months!!

So we had the AM rutina and then a siesta and off to Mojon.

And on the way home from Mojon, we watched Max fight off his sleep, but succumbed to another siesta while we were in the camioneta. Fun to watch…almost hilarious.

And to let Max sleep…we stopped at Che and madre y Max snoozed while padre grabbed some eats. The plan was for hamburguesa jueves, but…

We got home and found out that our edificio (building) had no gas due to a problem. Oh oh. So burgers were off and after a dip in the alberca con Max, Bex came down to help get the lil’guy changed, and we then headed out for la cena.

Where to? Pizza night at Il Rigoletti, our lil’slice of Italian in Huatulco. It is just a few blocks away and we walked there in minutes and had Max all settled in as we waited to order.

And when it came time to order, what are we told? Ahhhh…no pizzas are available for 40 minutes or so, something to do a problem with the dough.

Well Max was NOT going to sit still for 40 minutes, so we had to leave and off to Krystal Rose for some yummy coconut shrimp!!

Good dinner but waaaay more expensive then pizza…doph.

Headed home and Max had a tina in a bath that was low in water…microwaved warm!!

Off to bed and you are caught up. Sorry about the lack of fotos…mañana, I promise!!

Time to prep for my cita con Roman and then hit the sack.

Have a great viernes…Friday again?

Hasta mañana.

Hola and welcome to another wacky sleep day here in Huatulco!!

Won’t bore you with the details, but let’s just say Max y madre were up at 5am and padre took over at 530am.

Max and I made an honorable attempt at falling asleep again, but ahhhh no…it wasn’t going to happen.

So we were up at 645am and conducted the AM rutina, but without the walk as we ran out of time.

Right before our cleaner came in, Max and I headed in for our siesta and we broke our world record!! Yup…asleep by 850am and awake at 1135am…almost 3 hours!!

Great that Max (and padre) caught up on the sleep, but wow, do we wish he would sleep past 5am. All we can do it keep trying….stay tuned.

So, not much to report when you wake up at noon. Doph.

I did hit the gym and madre y Max had some playa time and later, while I was prepping la cena, they had another walk. This time they bumped into a few tourists and chatted them up. Their níno, Logan, is 18 months old and only slightly bigger then the not so lil’guy Max!!

Great steaks para la cena, a FT with Opa while Max was trying on his new motorcycle helmet (metal pot used to fill the tina) and then the rest of the PM rutina.

Currently 910pm, Max is zzzz and Bex is puttering around the cocina getting Max set up for mañana. Me? Hola to Duck Dynasty miercoles!!

Misc

Brrrrr. It was chilly this morning!! We have hit our 2012 low of 23,7 grados….frio!! And it should dip a few more grados in dicimebre and then it starts to head back up in enero.

The other morning I asked the senora that sells items in the zocalo, where her daughter was. The answer? The water was too cold for her to wash up and come out!! Hilarious.

Only a few fotos…more mañana as we are headed to Mojon!

Elder motioned me over to take this foto of his amigo Bulmaro taking a siesta.

WFSITBOTT?

Piña and it is on sale for less then $1 Cdn!! I think I will head back there mañana!!

But since there were no Max fotos, please click HERE to see a little video of Max dancing!!!

Have a great jueves!!

Hola y buenos noches.

Domingo…el Diablo was in town, ayer our lil’guy was back and today? The lil’guy was in great spirits and was very spirited…but was not into eating his desayunos…or sleeping. But nothing new about sleeping as he has always hated sleeping.

Some new things in the World of Max…he had some stranger anxiety today…first time I have seen that. What else? A new molar is peeking through his gums and that caused some discomfort today and only minutes ago we gave him some codine…naaaah. Just checking to see if you were paying attention. It was niño Tylenol we gave him.

The día? Oh it was early again, but we managed to finish the AM rutina and had a waaaay too short of a nap.

Madre, oh thank you madre, took over and I flopped asleep on the couch for 45 minutes. I was awoken by the kitchen timer as I had to get up to meet Roman.

The Mojon meet went well and we are meeting again on viernes to ensure he is crystal clear about all the changes before he goes back to the hombres that draw up the plans.

Another kick at the plans allows us to see the final costs and then Bex and I will review and ensure we are good to go. We talked about it tonight and are pretty fired up as it would be VERY fun and the idea of having income come in via both Bex working and a rental is good as well. Stay tuned.

Rest of the día? El gimnasio y Che and then pool time with Max while madre took a “break” and worked on revamping Max’s palace…for the 99th time!! Ja ja ja

I worked on la cena while Max y madre took a walk and mid PM rutina we had a visit from Jay y Crista. Nice chat and they got to see us in full PM rutina action!!

Some fotos?

Toight, toight like a tiger!!

Here Max's name is being yelled out by an hombre Max has met many times before.

Moments after this next foto was taken, Max's stranger anxiety took over and he ran to me and grabbed my legs. First time I have experienced this with him.

Oh Max, not in front of the iglesia!! Ja ja ja

Hmmm....do not litter...OR walk on the grass!!

Mañana? More Klondike (solitaire on my iPod) ja ja ja and more of our usual rutina.
Misc

Before I hit the gym, I dropped the camioneta off for an exterior wash and was greeted by Hector…I know this because he was wearing a hotel uniform with a name tag.

Now I had met Hector the last time I had the truck washed and he remembered my name and at the time, of course, had asked about Max.

Nice to get quoted the local’s precio…$30 pesos ($2.25 Cdn) for the exterior only. And better yet? After it was washed, he dropped it off for me at el gimnasio. Great service deserved and received una propina…tip.

Scores at Che? Croutons y cerdo lomo. Oh the life of living in a small town.

Glad we were watching Global News!! We saw a news piece about some abuelos being denied onto their flight to Mexico, because they were trying to fly with their nietos and did not have a permission to travel letter translated and notarized. Doph.

Now when Bex y Max flew down in diciembre 2011, we had a letter and fotocopies of my pasaporte etc, but nothing notarized. We are going to have a letter done here and expect that should be enough or Bex y Max to leave Mexico, get entry into Canada and then return to Huatulco. Stay tuned!!

Ok, have a great miercoles.

Marco, Bexico y Max
