Hola amigos!! It is viernes por la noche…Friday night.
Interesting day…I had a reply to an email I had sent to a long lost amigo in Victoria. Eighteen years and I feel kinda bad he slipped off the radar. Will try to catch up and see what has been going on in his life.
As well, I now know what Yeu (Memo) was talking about in regards to mañana por la noche…tomorrow night. His hermana is having her 15th birthday…a huge event here. And we have been honored (truly) by the invitation to the fiesta.

In all my libros de Mexican culture, they all state that as a foreigner, it is a no honor to be invited to something like this, and saying no is plain old rude.
So, what to give to a 15 year old girl, one we have never met? I asked both Rosa y the boys at the store and they all agree it is not about how much you spend, but on the act of giving and recognizing the important day.
Mañana we will hit a few tiendes and ask “por favor ayúdanos a encontrar un regalo para un niña de 15 años” and hope they point us in the right direction…earrings, bracelets, purses and believe it or not…plush toys…mascotas.
I went back to the gym at 5pm to pick up our invitation and first off…what a different gym at 5pm vs during the day. BIGGGGGG boys working out at 5pm.
Anyway, there is a religious part of the event at 6pm and then the party starts at 8pm. Should be fun practicing our español.
As for the rest of our day…relaxing.

It looks like todos los muebles de uno o dos sala…all the furniture from one or two rooms.
I am VERY pleased with this land owner.
It is a huge corner lot where several tour buses park overnight. The lot had looked terrible recently with garbage etc strewn around the lot and as per the foto, it has been cleaned up and bolsa de basura hung.
Just a hombre cleaning buses at the local bus station. These are the buses that run between the bigger cities such as Salina Cruz, Puerto Escondido and then norte to Mex City y Acapulco.
The bus shown is an OCC bus, but the bigger line is ADO and here is the link to their website.

The owner of this tricycle has had it upgraded to include the ATV

We do see some larger dogs here and they don't seem to mind the heat too bad.

Workout at el gimnasio was so-so as I spent too much time narrating my 500 fotos from Huatulco 2010 for Rosa. She loves to see all the fotos from here, our trip south and from Canada.
Después el gimnsaio it was hola to the boys while confirming deets for the big fiesta. It turns out one of the jewelry polishers is friends with Yeu and will also be at the fiesta.
We had a short alberca time and then I was off to pay our Telmex bill y pick up some needs from Che.
Pollo roti para la cena and Bexico is back in her oficina…many characters on this last scene of the music video.
Mañana…mi gimnasio está cerrado so I might check out the “other” gym where los ricos…rich people go. Then it is time comprar para el regalo and meatball sabado!! We will eat a light cena as we are not sure what to expect at the fiesta.
