Esta Fiesta sabado!!
6pm here in tierra de temblores y el viento!!! More on that later.
But as it is Saturday night…that means leche para gato negro.
Just doing a quick blog update as tonite we will be out at the fiesta and will not have time for updates. We chatted up Lalo regarding this birthday party and he says an invitation for 8pm means 930pm here in Mexico.
As for the regalo, Miss Bexico took care of all of it. Gift, wrapping and card!! Phew!!
We walked to the mall and saw nothing I thought a 15 year old girl would want, but when we hit calle Bugambilia, we came upon a tiende with regalo type items.
We went in and between the two of us, we are pretty good at español. Bexico says we are looking for a gift for a 15 year old, I say it is for a girl and the shop keeper knows it is all about the big shin dig.
He pointed out blouses and stuffed mascotas, but we went for the perfume.
They wrapped it up for us and then we went to the papeleria to get a little card to attach to it.
As for the rest of the day…pretty big temblores at 3 or 4am. It shook the windows and that woke me up.
Went to the otro gimnasio and had a good work out. They have more then just bici for cardio and I appreciated that. Tranquilo in there as I was one of only tres hombres.
Gasolina and then I drove to sector T to find out where esta noches party is. They were already setting up…it is going to be very interesting!!
The invitation we received has a foto of Karla and she has written some inspirational words. On the other side is the invite from Sr. y Sra….the parents.
The card also states the “padrinos”…god parents. I am told los padrinos help pay for the shin dig as it can become quite expensive.
And I heard that people become padrino de cerveza, padrino de ron etc and those peeps are responsible for buying those items.
Came home and had some alberca time. Here is what we saw when we got to the pool.
It has been a very windy afternoon…por la tarde con mucho viento. I guess the roots were dead and with the big wind…Timber!!!
Had our quick walk around town and now it is tiempo para la cena antes la fiesta!! Meatball sabado.
Mañana? Senor Pucks para NASCAR y a ensalada Caesar por mi novia!!
