Buenos Noches!!
945pm and we have just returned from a walk around La Crucecita. Quite busy around the zocalo, with many families saddling up to the restaurants and street side carts to grab la cena. They really do eat late here!!
Currently eating some late night sandia and watching to see if the Colts can come from behind and win the game with only 3 minutes left. They just about had the ball when they received a dumb roughing the kicker penalty!!
1025pm update....some bad defense at the end of the game cost the Colts the game. Jets won.
Earlier today, we were about to go for our walk when I turned on the box, expecting to see the the Saints kicking the Seahawks butts. But instead, the Hawks were up by 14!! Miss Bexico asked if I wanted to watch the last quarto!! Hello!!! What a keeper that gal!! And it was a great game to watch with the “shouldn’t be there anyway” Hawks becoming the first team in NFL history, to have a losing regular season record, and win a playoff game!!
Enough about football…what about our day?
First off, here is how we spent our last hour awake anoche.
Lo siento if the photos are not the best, but what they are showing is that we streamed the Canucks game on line and watched them kick Edmonton’s butt 6-1. Long way to playoffs, but wow doe the Nucks look good right now!! One of the photos is of Kessler despues his hat trick!!
Today we woke up to some loud music and hombres singing (??) along to some Mexican musica. Here is why.
This used to be a fruit store on calle Carrizal and now it is one of the “cantinas”. Cheap beer, loud music, never closed (?) and no mujer (woman) allowed.
More photos from my walk to the gimnasio.
This hombre was doing some work on the big stack across the street from our complex. The stack belongs to Imperial Pollo and boy does their product smell good!! But I guess all the smoke coming out of the stacks is causing some very dark soot in the condos facing calle Carrizal. We ourselves do not have that issue.
This is the new hardware store on calle Carrizal. Not very big, but I liked the colors. Always curious about the many blender containers they have for sale.
And this is just a shorty hombre selling his palettas.
These two photos make me wonder what the senorita is saying and thinking.
She obviously took the taxi to this building, which happens to be the municipal jail. Generally they keep the drunks here. In the primero photo she is talking to someone through the small hole in the wall. In the segundo photo she has this “this is the last time” look on her face.
And the last photo of the day.
Just another Mexican getting out of a taxi.
Other then the gimnasio, we had a short alberca time as the clouds rolled in around 3pm. Bexico has been busy with her work and we had a great dinner and of course our walk.
Manana? Low tide at Mojon around 1115am, so we are off to catch some olas. And yes, it is hamburguesa Domingo!!
Hasta luego.
