Buenos noches all!!

Any comments on the new look blog? The photo in the background is our nueva oficina on Playa Mojon.

Just sitting around waiting for la cena to finish cooking. It was supposed to be roti, but Che was sold out….so we are having chicken thighs instead.

Bexico left the cozy confines at 6am so she could go to yoga. Me? Up a few hours later and did the domestic thing, vacuum and mop.

It was then time for the gimnasio and here are the photos from that walk to and from the condo.

A very small amigo I met.

It seems to be a problem here as people make so little money, that they don’t spend it on doing the Bob Barker…getting their pets spayed or neutered.

Saw this sign on the way home from the gimnasio.

It was in a tortilleria, but they also sell pollo. Surtido is “assorted”, retazo is “scrap” and patita is “duckling”.

And this photo shows a store getting ready for Dia de Reyes, as per the blog ayer.

I asked Sergio about Dia de Reyes and he says that when he was a nino, they never celebrated Christmas with presents. It was always on 06 de enero, Dia de Reyes.

Below is a photo of the cake they serve on Dia de Reyes, Rosca de Reyes. We took these at Che.

And here is some information about the cake.

This info talks about how Dia de Reyes has a connection to Dia de Candelaria (and probably an otro parade y fiesta).

Here is some information on Dia de Candelaria.

Dia de Candelaria

As for my day, I saw Daniel on the way to the gym and gave him a tetra pack of nectar de manzana that we did not want. He said gracias and was truly appreciative.

At the gimnasio, I was happy to see mi dos amigos Ghimbeli y Logan have returned from vacaciones. Ghimbeli told me they scored a free flight to Mexico City, but had a 14 hour bus ride on the return trip. He also told me that he was telling his familia about his new Canadiense amigo…me.

Logan looks good and was happy to give me some knuckles…and even said thank you in Ingles, for his regalo de Navidad. Little did I realize that a regalo por Dia de Reyes is more appropriate.

I had a good workout and let Rosa know that “ayer, yo no entiendo Paty’s Espanol”. Paty said something that made the 3 mujer laugh, but I did not understand it. She tried to explain and then Rosa did, but with no luck.

I guess they were having a play on words as Rosa’s reply today was “hace bromas de doble sentido”…double meaning jokes. Learn something new everyday.

Quick walk through town and stopped in to see the boys. There is a segundo Edwardo (Lalo) that works at the store now, and primero Lalo was off today as he was not feeling well. He was up late I am told, getting his “room” ready for a visit from his madre, padre y dos ninos. They are arriving from Acapulco and I am sure he is excited to see them.

Came home for some alberca time…floated in the pool listening to the peeps talk about when they are leaving to go home (and take your smokes with you!!). Seems like one more week and it will quiet down again until Easter.

Bexico and I did the walk to Che, stopping in at the Correo, but did not find our name on the lista. But we did take a photo of their colorful uniforms.

Here are the rest of our photos from the walk.

Maybe it is an el gato theme Martes? This guy was in our parking lot.

This hombre had set up shop across the street from our condo.

It is all about the Bubba-looooo

A nice walk to and from Che, and then we came home to chill-lax and eat la cena.

Manana? We are probably going to Mojon to catch some of the projected 4 rated olas that are coming in the afternoon.

Hasta luego amigos.
