Going my way?

Buenos noches y feliz viernes el 13? oooooooh.

Currently 7pm and round one of bed time is under way. Another hot day here in Huatulco, and Mother Nature decided to give us one last hit by giving us some showers at 5pm. Too little to cool things down and it actually made things even hotter. Hola hola to the a/c in Max's room and to paying the $5100 peso bill for the last 2 meses of electricidad!!

Not hating, just stating....but I will NOT miss the humido!!

The día? Health update first...Max's improvement seems to have stalled today...Poppa tambien. Max had lots of coughing and clear boogies, but he was full of energy during the day, only showing signs of run down batteries during la cena.

I was still hacking away and due to the rougher sleep, I was pooped as well. No el gimnasio for me today and now I am not only physically enfermo, I am getting cranky that I am not able to do things I normally do.

In the old days, screw the cold and go to work and just plug away. Now a days I have to make sure I have the energy to cover Max during the mornings and at night as well. Better to take my time getting better, then going too hard and being ill longer, or getting worse. Hoping to be better in a few more days. Stay tuned.

The noche? Two nights of only one wake ups...I knew that would not last, and last night it came to a screeching halt. First off it was almost an hour for me to get Max to fall asleep. He lay in his cuna for 35 minutes, not moving or saying a thing, just moving his ojos and looking around.

Finally it was enough, I asked him to stand up, he says "sorry Poppa" and I say "it's ok, you are just a lil'guy", give him a 5 minute rock and he is lights out in the cuna.

And after a night of 4-5 wake ups, the last one was at 510am and with my arm draped over his cuna rail, we held manos and slept, until 550am.

Videos at 615am..Poppa alarm, Poppa alarm. And then onto the rest of the AM rutina, tranquilo time, desayunos and then a short prowl to check out the panificadora as well as make sure everyone saw that Max was supporting Mexico in the Copa de Mundo by wearing his new playera.

Good prowl, scored on the pan and on the many thumbs up in regards to the playera!!

Back to the casa to pick up the camioneta verde and then off to Sorianas for our weekend stock up. We missed out on a few items, but loaded up and headed home for the usual leche, libros and siesta.

Two tired hombres and Max slept over 2 hours and Bubba grabbed at least an hour of that. Score!!

When the two lazy bones finally rolled out of bed, it was onto Max cooking time...my lunch!! We all ate and then headed down to the alberca for a familia swim and I was blown away at how well Max is coming along in his swimming.

He can swim the length of the pool without any floatie or support and when he puts on his gafas, he loves the freedom under water as he swims upside down and the such. So neat to see.

I headed upstairs for some tranquilo time and then the familia followed. Bex got ready for a palacio tour on the bici, and I watched Max as he was staring in amazement at a Lego video I found on YouTube.

The familia had quite the tour as the "twins" palacio is now out of business, so they turned around and went all the way to Rosario's Palacio. They had the joint to themselves as Mexican niños are usually eating their comidas or having a siesta about the time Max arrives. We might look into a morning visit so Max can see some peeps!!

The familia wheeled home and 5 minutos after arriving the big rain shower arrived. All about timing eh?

Right on time for la cena, onto clean up and bed time and that is where we started the update.

Currently 845pm and that was another 90 minute bed time. Yikes. It is probably due to the long siesta, so mañana we will look into trying to have him fall asleep earlier in the morning (buen suerte) and then hopefully falling asleep earlier at night. Stay tuned.

Ok...onto the fotos.

A few more pre-prowl poses...note Max has his lucky playera on, and Mexico won today's partido 1-0.

After 3 or 4 days of stopping in and having no luck, Max has finally scored on his pan de plátano.

And his emotions boil over with excitement.

So, having some oh so yummy pan in hand, how about going to the parque, sitting on a banco and enjoying our pan? Ahhhhhh....no. Max choses the stoop next to the panificadora as his pan pit stop.

Ok...how about a foto first? Look at MY finger, next to camera, so I can take a foto of you looking at me.

Well, at least it was someone's finger he was looking at.

Max does not realize that I like these poses almost as much as his sonrisas, smiles.

As soon as I get a foto of you looking into the camera, we can eat the pan.

Success!!!

A little lite on fotos...as they say here in Mexico...mañana!!

As for mañana...maybe el gimnasio, but for sure we are headed out for dinner!! Bex wants to have a familia dinner at a restaurante she had been to with her Desperate Housewives of Huatulco Cluuub, and since they are closed on domingos, Día de los Padres, we are going mañana. Stay tuned.

And of course...race domingo!!

Have a great weekend y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
