Max doing his best The Creation of Adam (from the Sistine Chapel) impersonation. Naaaah...he is pointing at all the satellite dishes. More on that later.
Buenos tardes. El sol has returned and it is stinking hot!! The moscas y mosquitos are loving it and I have quite a few bites to prove it. Argh.
Currently 420pm and with the casa clean, and Marcos over in G10 fixing some plumbing, it is time for the blog update.
The familia has taken advantage of the sun and are at playa Santa Cruz and then will head into the zocalo with their bug spray in hand. And of course, they will be home at 525pm or so, just in time for Max to help his Poppa cook up the rib eyes!!
The day? You might recall me saying that if Max goes to sleep late, he wakes up early? This occurs 99.9% of the time, except it did not happen on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. But...last night it took 30 minutos with Bex, an hour with me and then 5 more minutes (argh) with Bex, before the lil'dude fell asleep.
It was a good sleep...until 510am. Panale pit stop and then all I heard were the requests for leche y videos. One attempt at getting him back to sleep using sleeper hold made famous by Mean Gene Kiniski, and when that did not work...hola hola to leche and a 45 minute wait until the videos started. Oh Max!!
Videos, tranquilo time, desayunos and then onto one very humido prowl. We had an errand to run and it took us to Jesic Toys....right past a parque. Poppa should have listened to madre and applied some bug spray on the lil'man. He played in the parque, a few foto to follow, and came back with some bites. Oh Poppa!!
Good prowl, lots of agua and then home for leche, libros and a 2 hour siesta. And yes, Bubba took in some of that siesta too!!
Post siesta I was off to el gimnasio and then home for the afternoon rutina, while the familia cooked some comida, ate their lunch and headed out.
Currently 515pm and the baño in G10 needs more parts...mañana. Almost time to start the cooking as well...where is my little helper? Home in 10!!
So...onto the many fotos. Enjoy.
Isn't this what niños are supposed to do? I was impressed that Max looked at me for permission beforehand.
Una mas vez?
Check out the focus...he is getting ready!!
We have lift off!!
And more lift off?
And even more lift off?
Touch down!!
Examining the results.
One satisfied customer.
Stopping in for un litro? Oh Max!!
Yes Max, she does look like your madre!!
The parque and the hill that Max ran down, and sometimes ran up, a dozen times.
Oh yes, Max tiene energía!!
Like a dog, Max cools himself down by using his tongue.
Out of steam!!
At Jesic, we met this niño and I think that is su madre working the caja. She kept telling him to look at Max and say hola, but he was timido. He noticed my camera so I took a foto and showed it to him. I got the feeling he had never seen a digital foto of himself before.
Just slightly taller then Max, and going on 5 years old.
Back to the parque for a slide...kinda.
One last go at the hill left Max looking hypnotized by the heat.
Maxo giving someone the evil ojo.
And then venting his disappointment in the Canucks hockey season.
Do not try this at home!!
And now? The satellites on top of the condo buildings. Max spotted them, started counting them, and then going dish crazy.
Satellite dish frustration?
Nunca, never, have I seen this comedor economico closed.
If you read the sign, see if you can understand the different types of tacos they serve. Cabeza y ojo? Yikes...do you think they clean the grill after cooking the brain and eyes?
I also like how they have this trailer parked in a parking spot, but have hard plumbed the gas for the round burner.
And yes, rainy season has arrived. Time to check tread life on your tires and if need be, use the llanta to help seal the sun roof.
And before we headed upstairs for leche...hola hola to one of the MANY gatos hanging around the CP condos and then ones next door.
Misc...two of the many things that made me smile today? Not counting the 510am wake up...when it is time for breakfast, Max normally has toys everywhere in the living room. I tell him it is time for desayunos and sometimes he takes his time putting the toys away, sometimes he says "I am busy" and then there are times like today.
I smiled when I heard the very fast scampering of feet running around the living room as he put away his toys. And this is followed by "Max do it" and "Poppa, look".
And how aware is the lil'man? If a toy breaks, I tell him I will try and fix it and then usually put it on the kitchen island where it sits until I get to it.
Today while cleaning up the toys for breakfast, I watch Max take his chico Coca Cola truck and put it on the island. It has fallen apart into 2 pieces and Max knowing it is broken, and knowing where Poppa puts the broken toys, just took care of it himself!! And yes, I have fixed it already.
And the rain we had last night...according to a newspaper I read today, it was a tropical storm. Who knew?
Hey...currently 705pm and round one is under way....please oh please oh please.
Bex y Max had a fun afternoon and the second that got under the cover of the condo stairwell...huge downpour. Perfect timing!!
Great dinner, easy clean up, tina time and now bed time.
Ok, you are all caught up.
Mañana? Soriana viernes!! No playa Mojon this weekend. Maybe a local playa o...lunch at West Park Cafe?
Have a great viernes y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
