Lil'man on tour, in what looks like an autumn day in Canada.

But...it is not autumn. It is officially rainy season in Huatulco!! We had rain for most of last night, over cast skies for the morning, a glimpse of el sol in the afternoon, it clouded over by 2pm and the showers started at 4pm. The rain? It started again at 6pm and will probably rain all night again.

Friggin humido from 7am until 8pm...it takes 20 minutos for mopped floors to dry!! But the positives are that all the plants etc are rapidly turning verde again, and we are having some muy fresco noches!!

It is 645pm and already 27,5 grados...plus another 10,0 in humido. But by 8pm it will be 27,5 for real...brrrr.

So, how did we cope? Usually, what starts out as a 90 minute bedtime ends up with a waaaay early wake up. And today was no different. Awake at 5am for the panale pit stop...but the lil'man surprised me by falling back asleep until 615am!! Score!!

Onto the rutinas and after desayunos, we were happy to see that there was no rain falling. The sidewalks were wet and the humido rising, but it was going to be a bici tour day!! That and I asked Max if he wanted to go for some hotcakes and his dos ojos opened wide and he said "yes please Poppa".

So we loaded up his capa, raincoat, just in case, and off we went for what turned out to be the longest bici ride he has been on with me. All the way into the industrial section, pit stopped at 12 de agosto where we bought a manguera fort $160 pesos and then onto Los Portales.

That is a 20 minute ride and Max kept reminding me about the mission we were on. "Poppa, Max hungry. Max want hotcakes." Yes sir!!

A quiet day at Los Portales so we had the place and the mesero to ourselves. We always say hola to the hombres, but rarely have this much time to chat it up and we had a good talk.

There was one other table and the 4 senoritas kept looking over and eavesdropping as well. I figure they were intrigued by the lil'man using the manguera as a toy, and by the guero padre talking to the mesero en español.

Good hotcakes and then we casco'd up the lil'man and pit stopped into Poopie Loopie before grabbing 5 limons from the arbol and then finally arriving home for the leche, libros y siesta.

A good siesta and when the boys woke up, we loaded up the camioneta verde and were off to playa Mojon for fun and a lunch of egg salad sandwiches...that Max did not like. Doph.

Cloudy when we arrived, some dark nubes rolled in and by the time we left, there was a light shower occurring.

We stayed long enough for lunch, some sand castle building and a playa prowl. The olas were crashing right on shore and the riptide was brutal, so no swimming for us. This disappoints us, Max seemed ok with it, but we are going to rethink our trips to playa Mojon as we know Max loves the oceano and the olas.

We can stay local, still have comida and the lil'dude can have his swim. Back to playa Mojon when the oceano calms down!! Stay tuned.

Well....I am back from round 2 of bed time...and Bex is on round 3. Yikes. We are going to think about shortening Max's siesta...maybe that will make him fall asleep easier at bed time?

Currently 815pm, pouring rain outside, the temperature is now 26,9 grados and we have no satellite signale for the TV. Doph.

Back to the día.

We left playa Mojon at 345pm and once home, it was clean up, some putter time and then time to cook the fajitas de pollo. Max y Bex hit up the mall and went trampolina crazy...the both of them. It did not work for Max, but maybe madre will fall fast asleep tonight? Ja ja ja

Home for eats, big cena para Max, clean up and then the bed time from he**.

So...onto the fotos.

On your marks...

Get set...

Come on Poppa...let's GO!!

Not often you catch Max standing still while riding his bici.

He has spotted a Pepsi logo painted on a building....waaaaaaay down the calle.

Pit stop because the sidewalk is blocked.

It is blocked over there.

Saw this beater with a taxi sign on it. Wait a minute...

We came to a curb, a curb that had no rampa and that I thought was too high for Max to caballo onto. Guess I was wrong.

The smile progressed as I kept asking Max if he got up on the curb by himself.

Looks like a foto opportunity to me.

Little do I realize, until Max points it out, that there is no cover over this drain and if the tires were not there, it was a 2 meter drop. Yikes.

"Long bici ride" as Max would say...time for some Bubbles. Max LOVES agua mineral!!

Inspecting our pollo.

I wonder what the peeps at Poopie Loopie think about us. Max wheels in, we park the bici, grab the silla and start scoping it out. Peeps come in and look at Max and then look at me when all the butchers come by and say hola hola to the lil'man.

And from playa Mojon...nube obscura over the montañas.

Home sweet home.

Bex teaching Max how to hit a baseball. More sand on this side of the playa.

Less sand on this side...doph.

Some amigos.

Ok, you are all caught up.

It is dumping cats and dogs outside...yikes. Time to check for water leaks in the oficina.

Have a great jueves y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
