A hot morning...lil'man airing them out in the zocalo.

Buenos tardes!! Currently 245pm and el sol has peeked out from behind all of the nubes we have had today. And with el sol comes the amigo humido. Hot and sticky, but only 28,0 grados...feeling like 39,0!!

Heads up though...I see there is a "precipitation possible during your commute" warning. Yikes. Ja ja ja

Bex y Max are at Los Gallos, home of the best chicken sopa in town...and we only go there when someone is enfermo. And who is ill? The lil'man is not feeling well...yikes.

Last night, he was awake twice before 9pm and that is the first senale, sign. He needed his madre to get him back to sleep and then at 10pm he needed out of his cuna and into his Poppa's arms for the next 2 plus hours.

Bex took over after midnight and she had a rough 4 hours. Max's nose was running like a faucet and he has a sore throat or at least a flemmy throat and would not swallow his saliva. Hola hola to a stack of wet pillows!!

The two of them were up at 430am to spit out a mouthful of saliva and I took over. The boys had an hour of sleep and then Max was just cranky about me trying to get him to sleep. Hola hola to Word World and we slumbered for a few hours.

He seemed a-ok during tranquilo time and even ate a huge desayunos. Off for a casual prowl and we tried to stop in at Dr Simi, but there was no doctor on duty. Hmmm...their sign says 9am and no one was there. They told us the doctor would be in at 11am and at 130pm there was no doctor in sight. Welcome to Mexico.

Back to the prowl...a good prowl, not too hot, and Max seemed a-ok. We kept it casual and then came home for leche, libros and siesta and then the wheels fell off the autobus.

Max was asleep for 15 minutos and then he just could not stay asleep due to the issues with his garganta, throat. Into Poppa's arms and with rocking, he managed to stay asleep...kinda.

Madre came back from 1/2 a bici ride...flat tire in the rain and no taxi would take her and her wet bike home....nice...so she walked home. After a hot shower, she took over Max watch and managed to get him another 30 minutos of sleep.

But he woke up as one unhappy camper. The plan was to take him to Simi and we geared up, tried to keep him tranquilo and headed out. Simi #1...no luck. Simi #2...we would have been 10th in line. So off to a little doctor's oficina around the corner and after 10 minutos, in we went.

All in español and he told us that he thinks it is a virus and that Max has no temperature and his lungs sound clear. Some prescriptions and $100 pesos later, we were off. I did make sure to ask if those were Gringo o Mexicano prices!!

We filled one prescription and also grabbed some more niñõ Tylenol and then dropped off the familia at the restaurnate.

So...onto the fotos.

Busted breaking in...looking for pan de plátano!!

Act natural...no one will notice me behind these hojas grande!!

Max loves the llantas.

A little flexing pose.

"Poppa, come here" led us to the kiosko.

For a niño not feeling well, someone sure looks muy feliz!!

Open for business and it looks busy.

This rack was covered with fotos from yesterday's communion. They were all fotos (for sale) of niños y niñas in their best white outfits.

That's all for now. Currently 345pm and Max is FULL of energía and is busy playing with one of his wood camions, running around non-stop, singing Gilligans and asking Poppa "what this?" to everything he sees. If he can sleep tonight, I am sure he will get over this gripa quickly. Fingers crossed!!

Madre has prepped the pollo para la cena and is about to head out with the lil'man for a pre-cena prowl...trooper she is.

I will finish this tonight. Off to watch the race. Hasta pronto!!

Buenos noches!! Great news...the jarabe, syrup, the doctor prescribed for Max, has worked like a charm. He is still ill, his nose runs like a faucet, but shortly after he took the dose, he was a happy lil'man.

Bex y Max had their sopa and then came home for a short pit stop and then headed out for a pre-cena prowl. They came back happy and hot...score!!

I cleaned the casa and watched Junior win the race. A pretty good race overall.

Oh so yummy pollo para la cena and Max had no problem finishing off a large plateful. Onto clean up, tina time and at 705pm, round one is under way. We gave Max some Tylenol and in the middle of the night, if need be, we will give him his next dose of the jarabe. Buen suerte to the Van-Arnold familia!! If Max gets some sleep, we all get some sleep and he will feel better...as will su padres!!

That's all for today. Have a great lunes y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
