Lil'man wants to jump on the "big cement truck", lil'man jumps on the truck!!

Buenos tardes. Currently 430pm and the familia is out for a prowl of Santa Cruz...I think. Due to the relapse in Max's gripe, we decided to keep him out of the agua today and hopefully get him back into it mañana.

He is such a good niño as he asked if he could cool down in the CP alberca post-AM prowl and when I explained why we couldn't today, he replies "ok Poppa" and off we go.

The familia will return at 515pm and then we will figure out where we are going para la cena. Huh? Yup, the restaurante we tried to go to on Mother's Day, is closed on domingos and so we tried to go today to celebrate Día de los Padres a day early...and they are closed for holidays. Doph.

As for the day...waaaaay early again. A long bed time last night and an early wake up...it is the norm. I recall some little manos waking me up at 630am or so and I took over so Bex could get some well deserved sleep.

Now normally Max and I are in bed watching videos, ok I am sleeping, so today we did some reading of his books and I answered 100 "what this?" questions.

Onto our usual AM rutina of tranquilo time as I get the bedroom organized and get the cocina set up for desayunos. And post breakfast, it was off for a tour of the centro. It had rained last night so it was one hot y humido ride!!

The time went quickly and we had a plan to be home at 10am vs 1045am, hoping for the earlier siesta and then an earlier bed time tonight.

Libros, leche and asleep by 11am...score!! And after almost 2 hours of sleep, the lil'man was ready for his afternoon. But first a few fotos with his Poppa!!

I managed to get out to el gimnasio for a very hot 45 minutos on the bici and then after stretches and some weights, I was headed home.

I saw mi amigo Raphael and he was working on a VW van with Quebec placas, so I said hola to Raphael and met the Canadian driving the van. Nice hombre and he and his 3 hermanos are headed even further south to Nicaragua, all in the pursuit of surf olas, waves.

We chatted it up for a few minutes and I think he was happy to see a fellow Canadian. Keeping on the Canadian theme, I pit stopped and grabbed a bottle of Crown and then checked out a few cartas, menus, hoping to be prepared for tonight's dinner decision.

Another pit stop to say hola hola to the gang at Gabriels and then home for the clean up, some puttering around and some blog updating.

The familia had a pre-comida "carry you"...Max wanted to be carried vs walk. Oh Max. Then they were home to cook and eat their lunch before jumping on Bex's bici and heading out.

And as you are all caught up...onto the fotos.

Pre-tour poses.

Max about to break into his cheeky grin.

Listo, ready.

Max doing a great job stopping at the rampa and looking for traffic.

Now, traffic comes from his right, but he is smart because you never know when some D-A will drive up the wrong way...serio!!

Max's new thing? He hides, kinda, and then says "where is Max?".

Based on how high his legs are, physics tells me he is going to be going fast.

Max had a spill because he cranked the handle bars to fast while driving through the puddle. He lay there for a minute and when I went over, he got up, picked up his bike and for the first time ever, just wiped his hands on himself (vs my shorts), got back on the bici and took off.

Here he is showing off some of the results of his spill, mainly dirty arms, hands and bici.

Incoming!!!

With the niños presentation over, Fonatur moves in to disassemble the stage.

They earn around $2.70 Cdn/hour for this work....yikes.

Before entering the zocalo, Max is making sure he hasn't been followed.

If he looks into the camera, shoot away!!

Home sweet home and we are headed to the CP alberca to use the showers for a bici clean up.

Sleep Country Mexico, why buy a hamaca anywhere else?

I am digging the de-luxe modelo.

An hombre who is 1.5 meters tall, with 1.5 meters of shoe boxes attached to his back.

Ok, time to get ready for la cena. Thunder over the montañas...bring a paraguas!!

I will finish this off esta noche. Hasta pronto.

Buenos noches!! A later dinner and a later bed time leaves me finishing this update at 840pm.

We walked to Mamma Mia and looked at their carta, menu, but Italiano seemed too heavy for us, so we went to our favorite restaurante, Los Portales. We passed a handful of peeps that all screamed out hola hola to Max as well as one hombre that called out "hecho en Mexico...Presidente futuro...pero no corrupto", quoting my favorite line when I introduce Max to peeps.

Quiet and hot in Los Portales, even with no walls, no windows and ceiling fans a blazing. We were the only table and even though there was a partido de futbol on the tele, we received good service and good food. Obviously it was not Mexico playing...hola hola to proxima martes 2pm Hux time!!

What up with enchiladas? One gooey mess...Bex will not be ordering those again. Good eats for the boys and then off we went for a quick prowl through the zocalo, pit stopping in the kiosko so Max could try to play with some niñas.

All he wanted to do was touch and play with one girls globo, but she was not having anything to do with that. We are blessed that Max loves to share and we brought out his Lego and the 4 kids went Lego crazy as Max gave up on the globo, looking at his padres for reassurances, and then deciding "screw it" and just started dancing and running around....non-stop...until he got out of the tina 30 minutos later.

Yikes...maybe they spiked his limonada?

Home for tina time, bed time and you are all caught up.

Mañana? Boys desayunos...hotcakes at Los Portales? And then after the siesta it is hola hola to the race and then onto meatball domingo in our casa.

Have a great domingo y Feliz Día de los Padres!!

Hasta mañana.

Marcos, Bexico y Max
