More about this smiling niño later!!

Feliz Día de la Santa Cruz!!

Already 830pm here…late start due to a post cena cita con el doctor. Por que? The lil’man has had a rash for a few days and it wasn’t getting better.

It is on his arms, chest and back…it looks like red dots and we wanted to make sure it wasn’t measles or pollo pox.

So after our quesadillas, off to see Doc Carillo and he tells us it is an allergic reaction, but he does not know what it is to.

It seems to linger and then get worse, then go back to light red. As Bex y el doctor were talking, Max and I were running around and then when we went back into the oficina, the rash was worse.

The doctor says maybe it is sweat related? But Max has lived here for 16 months and this is the first time we have seen this. Maybe a food allergy?

So we have some niño Claritina and if Max is bothered by the rash, we will give him some gotas, drops. But…the medicina is 65% azucar, sugar, and like we need Max with more energia? Nope. So none of this medicine before bed!!

As for the rest of the day…I cannot wait until Max can explain to us why he wakes up at 5am and does not want to go back to sleep.

Our theory? He cannot sleep when he is full…of poo!! The lil’dude was a PM…poo machine today. I think we might have to call the peeps at Guinness Book of Records.

Any who…our rule is the 30 minute rule and if at the crazy hour you cannot get Max back to sleep, the partner takes over.

So I had Max at 530am and by 630am, he was unhappy with his sleepy padre, and woke his madre up.

Now she was a TROOPER!! She took over and Bubba went back to bed until 8am and then I took over again.

Fresh from an early morning prowl con madre, Max was hungry’ish and ate all of his piña and another turkey dog…the kid loves his turkey dogs.

We managed to get out of the casa around 9am and we bolted to Santa Cruz so we could see if the translated bank account letters would pass muster with INM.

Another busy day for the merchants of Santa Cruz, as there were 2 more barcas in town. The merchants are hoping for a good day as the cruise ships stop coming in another week or so…dry season for tourists and wet season for us.

No line up at INM and Max was super well behaved. He looked at his picture book and prowled the oficina while padre chatted up the INM guys.

The hombre showed the jefe the letter I had typed up and I am sure it was different then what they were used to, but they accepted it.

Instead of detailing each line, I summarized debits and credits and then translated those plus the opening and closing values into pesos.

Waaay less time and then I just changed the numbers for each month’s statement…ta-da. Score!!

Once we got the approval, Max and I huffed it to the banco, paid the $$ and came back with the official recibo.

A few more pieces of paper and a few more firmas, signatures, and we were good to go. Max’s new FM3 will be ready next martes o miercoles. Stay tuned.

Up at 5am, but if he naps too early, it will affect the afternoon, so my goal was to keep Max entertained until 1030am or so.

We prowled Santa Cruz and then headed home for leche.

Madre took over leche duty and I popped out for some supplies, and then came back in time to grab some shut eye with the lil’napster!!

When we awoke, it was deemed too windy a day for Mojon, so we reverted to our normal afternoon rutinas…I was headed to el gimnasio and madre y Max would end up at the playa.

Great afternoon for all and I managed to grab some sol at the alberca before coming upstairs to do what I do…cook and prep for the PM rutina.

A 6pm cita with the doctor, so we did not get everything cleaned before we left, but when we returned, Bex took tina duty and padre got us caught up.

And at 9pm, you are all caught up.

Fotos.

Another 2 ships in harbour today.

A few marinas on guard at the end of the pier.

And with the ships in port, the harbour is also patrolled.

Day 2 of trying to sneak into the construction zona...oh Max!!

And continuing to practice his curb hopping.

And then scoping out all the peeps walking by.

Max going over to say hola and laying some skin on the hombre with the big a** igunana!!

The peeps all around Max stopped to admire the lil'man who was clearly enjoying the experience.

And the owner of the iguana was clearly enjoying this as well.

He was charging $1 US for a foto, but because he enjoyed Max so much, he would not accept our pesos.

Padre...desayunos?

On the way back to the camioneta verde, Max bolted.

Hello, hello, hello....Corona!! Oh Max.

Not sure if the suds were set up for the big fishing tournament or for Día de la Santa Cruz. I am told that today is the day if you want to party at a BIG fiesta in Santa Cruz.

And after polishing off a few cans of suds, Max walked away with a care in the world.

Not concerned where his padre was...but concerned about trying to move this pole!!

From my walk to the gym...I thought I was a witness to a fatality involving this autobus.

Naaaah...mecanico.

Government putting the screws to the lil'peeps. This car wash was very busy and manned by some nice hombres that always said hola to all of us. Now? Closed due to not having the proper permits...to install the piece of plywood I would think. Doph.

An old cowboy was selling these handmade items.

A camera shy old cowboy.

On a side street...this is how it is done here.

On the side of a turismo bus.

Back at the casa.

Misc

Bex’s work? She did 2 films for a Toronto based client and then a few days after sending off the 2nd film, he emailed her with a new script…hola to film #3!!

Bex is also finishing up the 100 drawings project with 20 to go, and the project for her Australian client is now completed, but he may have more work for her.

So it has been a busy month plus for Bex!!

Mañana? We will try for a Mojon day, or stay local.

Buen fin de semana!!

Marco, Bexico y Max
