Buenos noches!!
Currently 645pm ad as Max y madre
finish up tina time, I decided to take advantage of Max’s chill room and type
out a few lines of today’s update.
Not much to report in regards to our
daily rutinas. Max had a good sleep and was up just before 6am. He was adamant
that he was not going back to sleep and did not want leche either. Oh oh.
But everything turned out alright…7am
prowl, a big desayunos and then off to Santa Cruz y INM.
I went online before we left, and saw
that there was a cruise ship in town today…oh oh. I figured all the INM peeps
would be tied up with the barcos, but we ran into an INM amiga and she said we
would be a-ok. Phew.
We were first in line and good thing
too, as moments after we arrived, an English speaking couple came in, followed
by a small group of Asian tourists.
There is normally only one person
dealing with the inmigracion requests, so it was nice to beat the crowd and it
allowed me to keep an ojo on Max as the INM hombre and I went through our
paperwork.
A big stack and I figured there would
be at least one thing wrong or missing, and there was. Argh.
To stay in Mexico more then 6 months,
one of the things you need to provide, is proof of earnings and net worth. They
want to see a regular amount of $$ coming into your banco each month, and they
ask for 3 months of statements.
We used to show them the recap page
with all accounts on it, and then translated that into pesos.
Then the next year they asked to see
the 3 months and we provided that as well as the recap.
This year? They want the same, but want
the monthly statements translated into español y pesos. So I need to translate
the fecha, date as well as convert each crédito y débito into pesos, as well,
in español, explain what each transaction was for. Nice.
Good news? Everything else looks ready
to go and they have already given me the banking info so I can deposit the
$3000 pesos needed to aquire a one year FM3.
I again asked about getting Max the FM3
that was valid longer and thus cheaper. The hombre pulled out the thick binder
with all the new rules and after a few minutes of reading, told me that niños
under 3 years old, can only apply for one year FM3. Por que? I am thinking hola
to the money grab!!
All done at INM, so we prowled around
Santa Cruz, with Max getting ooohs and aaaahs from all the abuleos that had
come off the two cruise ships.
After that, home for leche time and
then siesta time. Not the longest siesta and it started a little early, so we
had a longer afternoon then normal.
The familia did their rutina and had
fun prowling playa Santa Cruz and then after leche at home, time for a walk
while padre set us up para la cena y el PM rutina.
My afternoon? El gimnasio and then a
few ferretería, hardware stores, looking for something that will help keep the
shower door closed. Doph.
Found something and now we will see if
it works or not. No need to stay tuned. Ja ja ja
Then it was home to get some sol and
the completely deserted alberca. Other then year round residentes, there is no
one else here.
That leaves a gal from Canada, a couple
from the US and maybe a dozen Mexican familias. Quiet times in the CP complex
which has 120 condos and only 15 or so in use for the next 6 months.
No complaints from this familia!!
We had a good dinner and Max was pretty
much a trooper all the way through dinner, dessert, tina time and the FT con
Oma y Opa and now bedtime con madre.
He is pooped…we are all pooped…and I
can hear him having a vocal discussion con madre. Doph. I am sure The Whisperer
will be used tonight…”just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale...”.

Here is what greeted us at Santa Cruz, not one but dos barcos.
The pier is not a short one and we have seen more the one person stop to catch their breath!!
On a normal day, there would be almost no one walking this strip.
The lil'man...headed straight to the construction zone...doph.
As with Mojon, Santa Cruz has also been experiencing some powerful olas. At Santa Cruz, they have swept away quite a bit of sand, leaving some very tall y peligro stairs.
Misc
I read in our local periódico that
there was another joven killed on a moto. It is wacky down here…no tests for
drivers licenses and there is no law in regards to wearing cascos, helmets.
Not sure who was at fault, as he drove
into the front of a car….doph. But it makes me think about the moto ride I was possibly
going on this weekend.
Is it viernes mañana? Feliz Día de la
Santa Cruz!! A big holiday in Spain, and here is a blurb about who celebrates
it here in Mexico. Click on it to enlarge.
We will see how the viento is…might be
a Mojon day.
Have a great viernes!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
