Buenos días!!
Currently 1140am on miercoles, Wednesday, and as the lil'Max snoozes beside me, I thought I would take the time to say hola and give a tropical storm update.
Looks like the storm has shifted about 2 hours south-east and will plow into Salina Cruz later today. We will get our share of lluvia y viento, so there is the possibility that later today or tonight, we lose luces (power...even though luces means lights) y internet.
Anoche we lost the satellite signale for the TV, and 2 days ago we had a short power outage...so who knows?
Here is the current storm path. Click on the foto for a larger picture.
The red indicates a hurricane warning!! Huatulco is to the left of the storm, essentially where the point of land sticks furthest south into the Pacific Ocean.
Ok, if you do not hear from us, hasta jueves!!
One foto from the AM prowl.
Buen día!!

Buenos noches!!
Currently 7pm and we are in the middle
of another torrential downpour.
With the viento, the windows are mainly
closed and the open bodega is soaking wet…including the washer y dryer. Poor
design…doph.
And how is this for a new record? At
5pm it was a cool 27,0 grados…but with 85% humido. That is one wet humido!! And
27,0 plus the 85% equates to 38,0 grados, so actually not so cool.
We still have power y internet and as
Max gets a scrub down, time to jot down a few lines.
It will be a DVD night as for the
second night in a row, we have no satellite signale. Oh well, I can follow up
on the mayor of Toronto via the net!! Ja ja ja
Hola…just back from plopping the lil’man
into his cuna. Madre did a great job humming the tune and Max was lights out.
As for our día, other then the storm,
not much to report. Max was up from 4am-530am and then for whatever reason, 5
minutes after padre took over, we were both lights out until 740am. Who knows
why?
Once we were up, it was straight into
desayunos and then our prowl…fotos to follow.
Due to the 740am wake up, it was a
little harder to get Max to fall asleep for his siesta, but eventually it
happened and it was a good one.
After the siesta y mi comida, I walked
to the gym with an umbrella packed in the knapsack. Good workout and a light
sprinkle started when I left and was into a heavy down pour as I grabbed a few
plátanos across from the CP.
Meanwhile the familia had been at playa
Chahue and very carefully made their way home in the storm. When I saw them coming
up the stairs, Max looked great in his little raincoat!!
Everyone dried off and then as I
prepped for our night, the two of them went off to the mall to say hola to Rudy
and jump on the trampoline.
Good dinner, nice FT con Oma y Opa and
then off to bed. Phew.
Fotos.
You might think Max wants to be picked up.
He actually was pointing to the Coca Cola hat Marcos was wearing.
But our polite hijo still laid some skin on Marcos.
We spent 10 minutes going up and down this slope on the sidewalk.
And another 5 on the other side. Doph.
Peek a boo?
Wonder why Max falls? Maybe it is the walking forward and looking to his left?
Detour.
Hola to el sol y un besito on the frog.
We were headed to see the camion de bomberos and stopped in this parque. The grass was wet and I was thinking he would fall, but Max went up and down this hill a dozen times.
And then off to see the bomberos!!
Someone has spotted a camion de Sabritas across the calle.
In the background, they were set up for a meeting. Max was more interested in the drips of water coming from the refill hose coming out of the ceiling.
The lil'prowler is still pointing at the Sabritas truck that is gassing up across the street.
Max fell into this dip, got out and then fell in again...on purpose. He did this 5 times.
And 5 times he looked at his wet and dirty hands and came to me to wipe them off on my shorts...as we usually do.
Mañana? See how the weather plays out
and we will go from there. Probably call TD Bank…doph.
Pochutla is on the radar, but only if
it is dry. No one wants to drive the highway here in the rain, let alone prowl
a tiangus in the lluvia.
Have a great jueves.
Marco, Bexico y Max
