Ahhhh...vida es buena!!
Buenos noches!!
Not much to report from Huatulco, but
here it is.
Good sleep by the lil’man and when he
awoke, he had a quick prowl con madre.
I took over at 730am and the plan was
desayunos and then off to the estancia infantile.
Lil’man did not want to eat
desayunos…an ominous sign.
But off we went to the day care, a 5
minute walk down the calle.
So Max, how was your first experience
with the estancia infantile?
Yup, that sums it up….all 5 minutes of
it.
We got to the school and were met by a
senora that lives in the CPs as well. We had the unbderstanding that we could
spend some time with Max, but ahhhh nope.
The senora told us it disrupts the
other niños, so we ended up waiting outside and out of view.
Not what either of us had in mind. And
we were going to stand there for an hour? Doph.
I decided to head to the hospital and
check on the availability of Max’s vacunas and would hook up with the familia
back at the school.
It is about 15 minutes to the hospital
and after getting the answer that one of two vacunas was available, I walked
back to the school.
No Bex and I thought she was in the clase
con Max. Fifteen minutes goes by and the senora comes out to tell me that Bex y
Max are gone. I ask por que and am told that Max was not happy. Doph.
I did a quick prowl around town and as
I was headed home, the familia caught up with me.
The story is that 5 minutes after I
left, Bex could hear Max get very upset. The senora came out and told Bex that
Max was a little upset and Bex said ahhhh no…he is VERY upset.
So she broke down the gate, knocked out
the security guard and scooped up the lil’man and escorted him to safety.
Ok, really all she did was follow the
senora to Max and then see what was up.
He was VERY upset and most of it had to
do with him wanting to open and close a door and I guess he was not allowed to
do that.
No point keeping him there as it was
evident all he wanted to do was get the heck outta there, so Bex scooped him up
and off they went.
Now what are our thoughts on this
experiment? We have several and the most important one is what does the lil’man
want?
We can take him back every day and see
how it goes, but we prefer to be able to be with him for part of the time, and
at this current school, that may not be possible.
We are also thinking this might not be
the school, as it isn’t very large and not a bright place.
Max is used to hanging out in the Party
Palace for an hour or so in the morning, and then he prowls the town. And then
in the afternoon, after la comida, he prowls the playas.
We are not sure sitting him at a table
and allowing him to eat galletas is what inspires him.
When we first dropped him off, Bex
broke the rules and peaked into a window and saw all the niños sitting down and
Max running laps around them. Atta boy lil’man!!
So we will look into other schools
first and see what we find. The whole purpose of this is to let Max interact
with otro niños, not be told he cannot do things like open or close doors.
We ensure he knows right from wrong and
what is safe and what isn’t, but for now we love the fact that he explores
everything and has the freedom to do so. Stay tuned.
So after the emotionally draining
event, it was siesta time and bad luck comes in 3’s. No desayunos, didn’t like
the school, and slept for only 1 hour when normally Max sleeps for 2 plus.

The boy needs he sleep and he was a
little off his Max game for the rest of the day. He enjoyed his afternoon time
con madre, but was just a little edgy.
I hit the gym and then had some sol and
then took the lil’guy out to the mall so I could watch him go wacko on the
trampoline!! And did he go wacko? Oh yeah!! It is hilarious to watch and he loves it soooo
much.
It is a natural progression from his
Jolly Jumper? Ja ja ja
Madre was in charge of PM rutina prep
and had la cena ready for us when we returned…score.
Good dinner, pretty easy going tina
time…until near the end, and then off to bed.
Currently 810pm and the lil’guy has
been asleep for 30 minutes already…The Whisperer has the night off!!

Mañana? Vacunas and then our regular martes.
I am doing a moto ride con Rick on miercoles…off to Mojon.
