Hola hola y peek a boo!!

We have renamed Max’s cuna, The Titanic, as lately it has been flooded most nights. Doph.

The kid drinks a few litros of agua before bed and during his toss and turn sessions, and we are now giving him a panale tune up around midnight.

But anoche he did not get one and woke up at 5am, swimming. By the time the pit stop was made, The Amazing Race had been lost and Max was wide awake.

Madre was kinda awake and at 630am, padre was definitely awake. Doph. Prowling before sunrise?

The rest of the morning went well and I managed to keep Max in good spirits until almost 11am so he would not nap too early. Too early a nap and the smooth PM rutina could be in jeopardy.

There was a good siesta, over 2 hours, and madre then took over. Max is great at letting us know if he is hungry and rubbing his belly was a clear signal that it was lunch time, and the usual post-siesta walk could wait until despues de comida.

Bex y Max have recently been the purchasers of our meat products, and today was no different. When they walk in, from the butchers it is now “hola Max” y “molida res?”. Ja ja ja

I headed to the gym and then some sol time and next thing you know, it is dinner time already.

After the post-comida prowl, the familia headed to the playa and of course, had a great afternoon.

We all met up at the condo and as dinner was being prepped, Max went with his madre to the mall, where he hooked up with an amigo, and also spent some time on the trampolines.

Good eats, good tina time and the lil’man was lights out after only 3 verses!! Score!!

Currently 9pm and all is well in the casa!!

Misc

Big weekend here in Huatulco as there is a triathlon happening and that has brought lots of peeps into town.

Click HERE if you are interested in reading about the triathlon.

Oops, did I forget to mention that it was all en español? Hee hee hee

Headlines in today’s El Sol De La Costa, our local newspaper?

Articles about the Taza de Excelencia, one about a town in the state that has had no fresh water for months, one about the rainy season storm forecast for the Pacific Ocean (14 ciclones, seis tormentas tropicales, cuatro huracanes moderadosy cuatro huracanes intensos), one about poor service in a Oaxacan hospital, one about the great work farmers are doing, and the usual stories about what a great job the Federales y Policia Municipal are doing.

Time for some fotos?

From our 2nd prowl, we were at the campo de futbol, the one without grass.

There have been helicópteros landing there for the past few días...but none while we were there. why the helicópteros? I found out that the Governor has been visiting.

Now THIS is Max's type of estancia de infantil.

A huge campo where he can run, kick the dirt and cut loose!!

Doph...pulled a ham string!!

Noticing the gorra was over his eyes, I rolled up the brim. Now a long time ago, we taught Max how to cover his eyes in the sun by saying "too bright".

Now look at our lil'drama niño.

Off the campo and onto the cancha, court, which is covered to protect the peeps from the elements.

Here, they were setting up for another visit and presentation from the Governor.

The banner talks about funding for Fondo PyME, which is a government program for small to medium size businesses.

Click HERE to a link to their website.

Peeps setting up are not in Max's way.

Official chair tester.

On a basketball court...time to run some sprints.

Waving to his throngs of admirers.

Oh Max was in bandera heaven!!

Pole positioner?

All of a sudden I hear Max go "dong, dong" which is the noise we both make when we hear the church bells ring. But there were no bells?

Max had spotted this mural of the iglesia y kiosko!! Muy intelligente!!

Meanwhile...dengue fever time. Elimina los criaderos, hatcheries.

Ah, ah...la cena!!

Now normally Max would be all over this niña, giving her besitos y abrazos. Ahhhh, not today as he was waaaay too distracted.

It was MUY peligro as 3 feet past the pollo, was a 10 foot drop into the dry agua canal. Trust me, I was on it!!

Onto the zocalo and llanta dreams have come true.

At the top of his lungs..."llanta".

The tractors were part of the coffee display, which I found out is called the Taza de Excelencia. Click HERE for the English website that talks about the Cup of Excellence.

Back at the condo... another attempt at hypnotizing el gato.

How did Max manage to grab the tail? The cat had "something" in his boca, mouth, and was not about to let go just because a niño had his tail!!

As a thank you, el gato received an abrazo from Max.

How hot has it been? Every Mexican that lives here and has a car, took their car to work!!

At el gimnasio, Anita's hijo.

Some cultures eat dog, some peeps in the montaña of Mexico, eat these.

Mañana? Sábado is here and we have nothing planned. It has been a wacky week…no Mojon. Doph. We will rectify that soon!!

Oh…but we won’t be missing the race mañana!!

I think it is a long weekend in BC? Buen fin de semana!!

Marco, Bexico y Max
