He’s just a lil’guy, he’s just a lil’guy, he’s just a lil’guy….

They didn’t write about days like this in any book I read pre-Max!! Not hating…by ANY means…just stating.

Look Basil…..

Wake up padre, I need you to take over. It’s 545am and Max has been awake for an hour. Huh? Bex, how did you get in my dream?

So padre took over and after 15 minutes of rocking and another 10 on the chest, Max rolled off and fell asleep. Phew. And the next thing we knew, it was 8am!!

Usual AM rutina but the AM siesta was a bit harder to make happen, as Max had only been awake for 3.5 hours. But madre worked her magic and he was out.

As usual, padre joined and did a little web browsing before deciding a little shut eye would benefit me as well. Too late…doph!! Not sure why but only an hour and 15 or so into the nap, Max was awake and not wanting any more rocking to help him go back to sleep.

Soooo…short nap can be dangerous and today we saw the outcome.

But first, the afternoon. Max y madre had a veggie prowl, then ate their comida and then it was off to playa Santa Cruz.

Me? In some very hot temperatures, 32,5 grados with 53% humido…oh between 40,0 and 43,0 grados, I hoofed it to el gimnasio, only to find the doors locked. Huh? First time that has ever happened as usually they post a note if the gym will be closed.

So I turned around and headed home, arriving just in time to help load the lil’man on the bici for his trip to the playa.

I sat at the pool for 10 minutes…too hot for this hombre!! So I jumped in the camioneta and met up with the familia for some playa time!!

Great to see the lil’man body surfing in the olas!! I left the two of them to have some madre-hijo time, took the recycling to Fonatur, grabbed a few items at Che and then came home to set us up.

Dinner was easy and went well and then as we wound down dinner and were in kitchen clean up mode, Max decided he was tired and was going to let us know all about it.

We expedited tina time and at first that did not help the situation, as we were going from Def Con 1 to 2 to 3 and headed to 4.

Time for some distraction from padre!! The solution was to distract Max from whatever was making him upset and I did this by talking about our plans for mañana. El gato, the camioneta verde, the camion de basura, auto buses etc.

Ta-da. Phew. All good and we finished tina time and clean up as well.

Some picture book time before leche and then I left the two of them, thinking to myself, Max is tired, this should be easy. Not.

So the Whisperer returns after 30 minutos and finds madre sitting on the floor, looking into the cuna where Max is laying on his back, just babbling up a storm, kicking his legs and flaying his arms. Oh Max!!

How to summarize the día? It took over 10 verses of Gilligan’s to get him ready for the cuna, and then once I put him in, he tossed and turned before sitting up and pointing both hands to me.

Two more verses and he was ready and ta-da…success.

Currently 830pm, possibly Christy Clark’s last day as Premier of BC, and Bex and I have had our daily Max debrief. Now, as I update you, Bex is hard at work in the oficina and the lil’guy is dreaming of things to blow besitos at.

Fotos.

From our AM prowl, Max is about to go off roading.

And then is intrigued by the flower bud.

Too many to chose from, so I posted them all. They are all different.

And of course, the camioneta verde. Our hijo is not lacking hair!!

Or a belly...Max gusta comer!!

Another day, another attempt.

Max, I am not sure this move will work. But "A" for effort!!

Go get him, lil'man!!

I see you Senor Gato!!

After all that chasing, time for a sit.

Max's version of "the wave"...as an autobus drives by.

One too many mezcals.

Mañana? Who knows? El gimnasio if it is open.

Have a great martes!!

Marco, Bexico y Max
