Kinda glad to see the end of this wacky día.

Max was up at 5am and that set the tone for the day. Madre did her best, but he was not going back to sleep.

Padre took over at 6am and madre hit the sack for another 30 minutes of shut eye.

And right before 7am she hit the road on her bici and went to the niño hospital to get in line for Max’s vacunas.

Max and I did our best with desayunos, the plan being that we would jump in the camioneta and meet up with madre around 815am.

Well…desayunos was a slooooow process today, but I did not want Max to get a vacuna on an empty tummy and sometimes it takes a few hours to get into see the nurse, so we plugged away at it.

And the one day we are late, Bex has won the lottery and had managed to trade up from #8 to #6, thinking we would be there at 815am.

And at 815am she traded down to #9…doph.

But at 830am we arrived and only had a 35 minute wait. What do most niños do while waiting? Quietly sit with their padres. What does our niño do? Races laps around the hospital, stopping to look into every oficina and stopping to say hola to the otro niños.

His hola could be an ear pull, a hug, a head tap or maybe just sit on them…so we need to be prepared to tell him “calma” and offer our apologies!! Ja ja ja

Our number 9 was called and we were happy to see our amiga, the nurse, was there. Good stuff as the first nurse gave Bex the 100 questions, asking why we were there, where we live etc. The amiga knows us and Max and all was good.

We thought today was a one vacuna day, but today Max had an oral and a needle. The vacunas were for poliomielitis y a combo vacuna for sarampiõn, rubéola y parotiditis.

According to his cartilla, all that is left is a vacuna on 21 de marzo and then one at 18 meses of age, mayo. Phew…almost done!!

Max was a trooper, upset only when we had to put the bear hug on him right before the needle went in. But as soon as the needle was out and he was released for the grasp of hi padre, and into the arms of his madre, all was good.

And today we were given some extra supplements for both madre y Max. Good to see the government taking a serious interest in the health of the familias as not everyone here has the ability to ensure they are taking care of themselves.

After the vacunas, it was time for Max’s nap as he had already been awake for over 4 hours. So we headed home with the  plan being that Bex would leche up the lil’man and I would head out to Nissan to talk up some parts.

And then when I return, I would take over siesta duty, hoping for a long one. And Bex would have some Bex time…laps in the alberca, some yoga, maybe a workout and some oficina time.

Nissan has very limited access to parts info for non-Mexican built Nissans, and they could not help me with what needed. I did grab an oil filter and order the new filtro de aire, but will need to email a foto of the rubber stopper to mi mecanico in BBY and see what he says.

Headed home and saw the lil’guy asleep…score!!

But that only lasted 30 minutes or so and he was awake. Doph. I gave it 30 plus minutes and no success. Madre gave it a second shot and had no success. Doph.

Madre was a trooper and passed on her “Bex time” and took over. Me? I was pooped (might be fighting something) and took a siesta.

Madre y Max had some pool time which was more about walking around the CP grounds. Then it was comida and they did manage an afternoon siesta.

Me? El gimnasio and when I got home I grabbed the lil’man and we went off for a walk around el centro so madre could finally get her laps in.

When the boys returned, a quick dip for the lil’man and I got us set up for la cena and the PM rutina.

Successful dinner and tina time, including another FT con Oma y Opa, and then off to bed.

Madre had the first go and the Whisperer came in to close the show…hola to 10 minutes and lights out!!

Currently 10pm, Max has stirred twice, Bexico has lots of work on the go, Bubba has watched the 2 Nascar races he PVR’d and is now catching up on the Global News.

Mañana? Hoping for a regular night and morning that will allow us to head to Mojon. Our preference is to go before Max’s first siesta, but history shows us that Max does not get a good siesta while at the playa and that leads to a tired niño in the afternoon and night, a rough sleep and a the cycle starts all over again.

So, we will nap him here at the condo and go to Mojon after the nap. That will allow us to enjoy the afternoon more as we will not be worrying about nap schedules!!

No foto jueves…lo siento. Hope to make it up to you mañana.

Have a great viernes.

Marco, Bexico y Max
