Buenos noches!!
945pm and a quick hola
with a quick update and a few fotos.
All is good here in
Huatulco…but we have had a few HOT days lately. Not sure why, but we have been
given a glimpse into the humido days that will be approaching in a few months. Ugh…no
need for that in enero!!
Bubba had the night shift
and we all slept well until 430am’ish and then after joining pare in the
recamara, Max had a tanque up and then the boys snoozed until 615am. Oh Max.
But we did have a great
siesta later on…just hoping to sleep in until maybe 730am one day soon!!
We escorted madre to her
cita con el dentista and don’t judge the book by it’s cover.
The exterior is nothing to
write home about…hey wait, am I not writing home about this exterior? Ja ja ja
The dentist turns out to
be a nice guy who speaks perfect ingles and did a good job on Bex’s teeth. No
cavities and she will return next week to get a chip repaired and then a week
later to see the visiting expert, to talk about some brace that has been cemented
in her boca for 20 years.
So, small town Mexico did
not let us down. But when will they have cheddar cheese back at Che? I could
really go for some Bubba burritos…but only with the real cheddar.
I did do a Che run this
afternoon and with all the Mexican tourists gone, and many Canadian tourists
adios as well, Che was quiet and is slowly being restocked!!
It is miercoles and I
scored on leche fresca that actually has a 6 day shelf life on it!! Yahoo!! Lol
As for the rest of the
day…madre took Max after the siesta and the two of them had a bike together as
well as the usual afternoon rutina of comida, clean up and a late afternoon
siesta.
I was happy to see mi
familia stop by el gimnasio to say hola. They had been to see a tailor (?) that
had sewn the two new slings and we wanted him to make us a new bag for the
sombrilla, sun umbrella.
His taller (the double
“ll” is pronounced as a y…tayer…shop) was cerrado so they will head back
another day. But not mañana!! Por que? Off to El Mojon!!
First we will stop in and
confirm that Max’s vacunas are available and if they are, we will return on
viernes!!
Back at el gimnasio,
another good workout and happy to report that the toda la famila is healthy!!
Strolled home to find the
familia asleep…hee hee hee…so I puttered around and after the nap was over, the
boys hit the alberca while madre moseyed over to the centro de commercial to
pick up her cena.
What is at the mall? A new
Chinese restaurante that always seems to be busy…a good sign in small town Huatulco.
Bex was even served by some Chinese peeps that speak perfect español…Huatulco,
the cultural hub of Oaxaca? Ja ja ja
Anyway, Bex said the eats
were good, minus the stale hecho in LA fortune cookies.
The boys had the pool to
themselves!! Might have been because it was post 5pm and el sol was gone, but
more likely due to the fact that many peeps left CP and headed back to their
own cities and countries.
Good cena for the familia,
a FT with the abuleos (and Opa’s new iPhone) and then Max hit the cuna.
That was the day.
Here are a few more fotos.
Ayer, from this next camion, I paid $12,50 pesos for a large piña...Max and I both enjoyed it. Max rubs his belly when he likes something he has eaten.
Second floor is not completed yet, but good enough for lavadero, laundry.
I liked the colors.
Just taking a lean after a long day of hauling mesas around town.
This hombre is loading up on VERY fresh limes before taking his camarón cart out for business.
Have a great jueves!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
