Buenos noches!!
So everybody wants to know
how the one siesta day went for Max. Well let me tell you all that his sleep
started out great and ended great. In the middle…not so good. Doph.
Max was asleep shortly
after 7pm and he slept straight through until 1am. Then he woke up…wide awake I
am told. Madre used all the tools in the 1am “kit”, but at 230am’ish it was
time for the Niño Whisper to give it a shot.
Well, awoken from a deep
slumber, I shook out a few cob webs and filed away the dream I was having and
said hola to the lil’guy. Yup, he was wide awake, but evidently tired.
Gilligan and I had no
luck getting him to sleep (Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale...) and after finally waking up myself, I started to
think what else could be keeping the lil’man from falling asleep.
Dry panale? Check
Enough agua? Check
Tried rocking? Check
Night light on? Check
Cool enough…air con? Check
Pudge y Chico close by?
Check
Hmmmmm….could he be
hungry? He ate at 5pm’ish and it is now 3am. I grabbed a bottle of leche, propped
him in the corner and he guzzled it. And 10 minutes later? Lights out!!
Phew. But as per usual, up
at 7am. Well, one of us was. I gave Max another bottle and his books y toys and
put him in the cuna. He was super well behaved and let me sleep until 8am!!
Score!!
The boys had their
desayunos and Max continued his hungry streak. Let’s see…pan frances, mango,
huevos, banana, blueberries, yogurt con blueberries and kiwi as well!! Oh and
throw in a few Cheerios in leche. One hambre niño!!
Madre was awoken, tea
ready to go, and then we all hit the road for Mojon.
Max was ready for his
siesta, but true to form he wanted to play on the playa first. Off madre went
while I set up the palapa.
Super nice day at the
playa and with the tide coming in, there were a few surfers taking advantage of
the olas. We MUST get surfer Bex back on her board soon!!!
With a little struggle,
the Whisperer managed to sing the lil’guy to sleep and then passed him off to
madre, who needed a some time with her hijo.
We were all asleep when we
heard a camioneta coming down the dirt road. Tony y familia had arrived. I had
no idea it was going to be his esposa y niña, but nice to have them down.
The ladies all went to
play on the playa and for some reason, Max decided he did not want to play with
the niña and hung out under the palapa with the men.
And what did he do? Ate
more!! He had already eaten his comida and was now eating some of my sandwich
and some crackers from Tony!!
After another 45 minutes
or so Tony y familia hit the road. We have offered them the use if our palapa
anytime they would like.
We had a few good boogie
board rides on the olas and then we too packed it up and hit the road. The plan
was for a second siesta, but made the decision to have an early cena and get
the lil’man to sleep early again.
Madre prepped la cena and
the boys walked the town. A very quiet town as most of the tourists have
climbed back onto their turismo autobuses and back to their hometowns.
La cena, a FT con mi
hermana, tina time and you are all caught up.
Good news on the work
front. Madre has a “test” job and a possible line on a few more. As always,
Bex’s workload is either feast or famine, even though the dry spell post
Christmas was longer then we anticipated. That’s ok…more time to spend con her
hijo!!
Feast or famine with the
fotos too.
Yesterday as Max y madre were headed to the playa.
And as Max "airs them out" madre is working on a triple letter score!!
My meeting with Roman was
postponed and is next week. Stay tuned.
Mañana? El gimnasio, maybe
a Che run and need to make a call to the lab in DF.
Have a great lunes!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
