Hola hola as they say in B10!!

Good day again…never getting tired of these good days!!

Great Mojon meet con Roman and we have never been closer to signing on the bottom line and getting this project started.

Today we talked about the dreaded concrete beams that we will need to support the 2nd and 3rd floors. The beams are thinker then the walls and floors, so they will end up being seen.

We managed to move some of them so they are not visible from inside and that leaves us with two that will separate the cocina from the comedor from the sala…about 8 inches wide and a foot from the ceiling.

Not the ideal, but needed and we can paint them or even cover them with a wood exterior.

We also spent some time talking about albercas and we have settled on a fiberglass model that will need to be shipped in from the norte, but it will save us some $7000 dollars.

Propane tank and water booster pump were also discussed and we have solutions for both.

Next steps? Believe it or not I need to confirm how fast of an internet system we can get for Mojon. If we cannot get one that accommodates Bex’s work, we will have to rethink things.

She can do all the work at Mojon and then bring it into town to send, but a pain in the butt. So we will work on it and figure it out. Our amigo Scott, the Newfie, has internet at his Mojon cabin, but it was slooooow when I tried it. Stay tuned…exciting times.

What else happened today? No walk per se, but the lil’guy was taken for a stroll in his Cadillac of strollers, and we went to DHL.

We had to wait a few minutes and Max prowled the air conditioned oficina as we waited. He loves the sillas, chairs, and went back and forth.

Our package was there and there were a few phone calls to confirm if we owed any impuestos, taxes. And ta-da…nothing owed!!

Max and I strolled through centro on the way home, had our siesta and then it was time to open his primero regalo and following that, a FT with his abuleos to show them how excited he was!!

The often seen, but rarely captured on film, laugh and smile.

Fotos? On the "Eye Spy" quilt?

The awesome quilt was hand made by Max's Oma.

Muy curioso about the foto of himself y madre.

Max and all of his regalos.

After all the excitement, I rushed off to meet Roman and the familia spent the afternoon together.

I hit up Che after my cita…no scores unless you call all beef smokies a score!! Ja ja ja. Doph…no real leche in stock. They might have received it later in the day and maybe mañana we will check on the way home from a playa trip…if we make it there after the race!!

Headed home, groceries away and just in time to see Max wake up from a shorty of a siesta.

Madre? Pooped and she took the well deserved siesta as the boys hit the pool. We were later joined by madre and after some splashing and dunking, upstairs and time for the PM rutina.

Great eats…who doesn’t love hamburgers? And Max wolfed his back and then tina time and lights out time. It has been over an hour…waaaaay overdue for a visit from padre…naaaah.

Some more fotos?

The highchair series.

And from the morning stroll....

An abuela and her conejito mochila carrying nieta. They are selling tamales.

And from the mall, good to see the same types of humor occurs here as in Canada. The sign states bromas, jokes.

Let's see, there was a whoppie cushion, fake dog doo as well as garlic, chili and soap flavoured gums.

Mañana…the race, lomo cerdo and time with the familia. Vida es buena!!

Have a great domingo!!

Marco, Bexico y Max
