Hola mis amigos.
What a GREAT way to end
the día con mi hijo!! After madre’s 30 minutes are up, I went in to close the
deal. As you all may recall, we are on the no rocking policy and working
towards the self sleeping and please oh please, the self soothing.
So after 10 minutes of
trying to get Max to settle on his own and with no success, I let him crawl
into my lap.
Now, this normally means
10 minutes or so and he will be lights out, but today we spent 15 minutes
having our first conversation!!
In his very soft voice,
Max would babble some words to me, and I would reply. This continued for the 15
minutes and then it changed into Max making fart noises, blowing raspberries and
just being a lil’guy.
A little more babbling and
then mid sentence, nothing…Max was lights out. Best time I have ever spent with
the little guy as he was falling asleep!!
And on the topic of the
lil’guy, it is hard to believe that in less then one year, Max has gone from
this….
…to being able to do this.

Awesome.
As for the day? Padre is
slowly on the mend. More energia, but is now onto the dry cough…ugh.
I took the AM rutina shift
and that started at 630am. By 930am as we were getting ready to go, Max decided
that we would nap before his walk. He was quite vocal about it and I was up for
a nap so off we went.
Madre had a well deserved
sleep in and when we awoke, she took over and you know who finished his siesta.
Hey…I am fighting the gripe!! Ja ja ja
Bex and Max spent the day
together and prior to his 2nd siesta, the familia went for a nice
stroll.
Translation? Bread of Dead.
The big celebration is coming up on primero y 2 de noviembre, and the town is getting ready. In the foto above, you can see the orange flower and the candles that are displayed everywhere. Maybe mañana I will give you a Día de los Muertos refresher.
While I was in the bakery ordering the postre y galletas for Max's fiesta, we played "¿dónde está el bebe?" (peek a boo) using the sign in the window.
And this next one is my new screen saver.
Nice day in Huatulco and the zocalo was tranquilo.
When it is time to go, and the lil'guy is pooped, padre steps in.
Pit stop at Gabriels and hola to Daniel.
Dos amigos headed home.
Then while the familia
slept, padre relaxed and puttered around. A good siesta for the 2 of them and
they went for another walk after the nap and antes alberca time.
Me? I set up for the PM
rutina and then off to the pool. The lil’niño loves the water and the new
bucket we bought him…vida es buena!!
Great cena…hola to more
cerdo…and then the GREAT PM rutina, and you are all caught up.
Mañana…hoping to be well
enough for el gimnasio y la playa. I am also going to have to plug in the MJ
and call these Canadian satellite internet companies as neither of them have
replied to my emails…dumb a**es!!
Have a great viernes!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
