Hola amigos. Wow…what a tranquilo sábado. I guess that can happen of you spend the afternoon watching the Nationwide race on TV, the race being run in Montreal. A great race and mañana…the Sprint race from Michigan.
Did I tell you who slept through the whole race?
He followed me upstairs after I ran the laundry to the lavenderia, and then spent the day sleeping on me or the couch!!
I have still had no luck with getting the secadora looked at…I need to get into the truck and look in sections of town I normally don’t go to. You know you are at the right place when you see the appliances all parked out front!!
As for mañanas race, I hope tomorrow’s internet feed is as good as the one I had today!!
Talking about the internet, we scored last night with not only finding episodes 2,3 and 4 of Entourage’s season 8, but the streaming was solid. Score!! It became an Entourage marathon. Ja ja ja
Awoke to mainly overcast skies which leads to a cooler session at el gimnasio and it would have been a cloudy alberca time if el sol did not appear for the time we were in the pool!!
But I think some lluvia might be in the forecast. ¿Por que? Tropical storm Harvey is currently working its way across Guatemala and should be into Mexico by tomorrow morning. If you look at the website, you can see that it is currently projected to pass just norte of Puerto Angel which is only 60 minutes west of us.
Back to the day…el gimnasio where I caught up with Yeu/Memo and then a quick stroll through town. No stopping at the joyeria today, just papaloapan for dos rib eyes. These 500 gramo steaks are monsters and cost $100 pesos total…just over $8 Cdn.
Home for the race and Bexico had started her workday already and spent most of her day in the oficina. She took a break for a workout (is that a break?), her need to “feed the machine” y animale (ja ja ja) and we did a veggie run too. At Fruver, she ran into the senora who lives in our complex but runs the villas Sueño Real, where in the past, we have stayed numerous times.
This very petite senora is soooo friendly and always says hola and asks how we are doing. Bexico had a great chat with her…all in español!
Dinner was good…not great. The pork chops turned out to look great in the package, but were mainly bones on the back side. Oh well…stick to lomo, pulpa o brochette.
Downloaded (ugh) a pelicula…127 hours. True story…guy cuts off own arm to free himself from being trapped by a rock. The download was not the best…it kept freezing the picture while the sound continued, but a great story if you get the chance to watch it.
And that amigos, was our sábado.
Hope you weekend is going well. Hoping for foto filled blog entries next week!! Thanks for hanging in there.
Bubba
