Buenos tardes…almost noches!!

7pm and the sun is almost setting. In a short time I will start cooking
la cena and then I am headed out to see if Daniel is around.

He sent me this link…

But I am not 100% sure how it works, or if I trust the products. But they have original Canon batteries for only $675 pesos…$56 Cdn, which is about equal to prices norte. Hopefully he can help me out, and my camera will be back up and running. Stay tuned!!

Our day…busy, but we are not sure we feel like anything was accomplished. Huh? Read on.

We were at Inmigracion at 905am and were told to return in media hora…mas o menos….30 minutes plus or minus. Ja ja ja

So we dropped off the recycling to Fonatur and made the deposit at Scotiabank. When we returned to Inmigracion, the doors were unlocked and we were third in line.

We didn’t have to wait too long, but the highlight of the wait was the senorita that asked how long along Bexico was, and then when she was told 6 meses, she asked if Bexico was sure…because she felt Bexico was large for 6 months. Nice!! Lol Now lets just say that that senorita is not invited to any fiesta we have!!

Not sure, but we think her name was Marisol and we only know of one Marisol in Huatulco…highly connected.

After our short wait, we went into the oficina de jefe and she reviewed our paperwork. It was all there and her only questions were about the 3 months of financial records. I am not sure what the issue was as we provided more then was required, and also a letter in español stating how many pesos we owned. But it seemed she wanted more and we aren’t sure if she was going to take care of it, or was asking us to.

Either way, she sent us to the bank to pay the fee…$1300 pesos each and then we trounced around Santa Cruz looking for a photocopier. We even went back to Inmigracion and was told no, no we could not make a copy of the document THEY needed. Argh.

Back to una oficina de bienes raíces (real estate office) and we sent in the pregnant one to smooth it out and get a photocopy!! It worked!! Ja ja ja

Back to Inmigracion and we were summoned by a hombre who went through our recibos, entered our info into the computer and gave us a file number. He told us to call back proxima miercoles and we should have our files approved and will then only need to go in and pick up our cards. Here’s hoping. Stay tuned.

So one down and one to go.

Off to Telmex and I brought my interpretor…Bexico. Within 5 minutes of talking to Christina, Bexico had convinced her to write us up an order for a new phone number and line for B10. My Spanish speaking novia!!

So, we have the paperwork and the new modem for B10. When will the service be connected? Anytime between 1 and 30 days. Welcome to Mexico!! And when will we know the técnico is due at B10? They will call us “minutes” before they arrive!! Nice…as we only have our G10 number so if they call us when we are out…who knows what will happen.

We plan on putting a note on B10, letting the técnico know to come and get us from G10 and if the phone is not installed before we leave on 14 de septiembre, I will ask Roman if he can coordinate the install. Stay tuned.

Then it was home and by this time, 1230pm had already arrived.

Got ready for el gimnasio and off I went. Bexico? Back into the oficina, same place she is currently (at 8pm).

Now it is 930pm and Bexico is still hard at work after taking a break for la cena, and I just arrived back from centro, where I was happy and sad to find out that Daniel was not working. ¿Por que? Triste because I will now need to wait another day to order a battery, but happy because the fact that he was not working hopefully means he is spending time with his niño y esposa!!

Back to our day. Good work out, but almost zero viento so the weather was hot y humid!! Lots of water and then spent time in lots of water!! Hello alberca time!!

Had a good float and then upstairs to have a iChat with mi hermana. All is good there and it was nice to catch up. Her niños are growing up so fast!! Her hijo is 14 years old and I made comment that I will be 60 when our niño turns 14. Wow!! Ja ja ja

We heard back from Roman and I have sent a quote to N&A to approve some small work on B10. The dryer quote is $1300 pesos for a long gas hose, the parts to make the dryer work on LP, and labour. The parts come from an hour away, so all told for $108 Cdn, it is worth it.

Someday ask me to tell you about the gas heater that was installed in mi hermanos wood shop. Ja ja ja

Talking about mi hermano…felicidades a él ya su esposa, Kim, as mañana it is their 11th wedding anniversary!!

Misc…

Bexico has confirmed dates and times for both B10 and G10 cleaning and I talked to Samuel y Moises about what day and time we are doing the move.

What’s left on the pre-Vancouver to do list? Get the passenger window repaired (it won’t go up by itself), look into getting the locks at B10 re-keyed, pick up some regalos for the peeps in Van and wait for Telmex y Inmigracion!!

Our mañana? It is already viernes? Wow. El gimnasio y Che…not sure what else. Stay tuned.

Hasta luego amigos.

Marco y Bexico
