Buenos noches!!
Not much new to report from hot and sunny Huatulco. Early morning for Max...surprise surprise...and Poppa took over at 7am.
Usual martes rutina for us...tranquilo time, cooking and then off to Nissan and then Che.
Nissan? After much online investigating, I finally found the part numbers for the 2 radiator hoses I was looking for. Here in Huatulco, entering the VIN into the computer system brings up no results, due to the camioneta being built in the US and bought in Canada.
But if you already know the part numbers, odds are that you can order them. That, and these parts are similar to ones used in some Nissans that were/are built in Mexico.
The rad hose I bought in Vancouver and brought down? Hecho en Mexico!!
As for the other two...it took hours of searching.
The top hose was easy...part 21501.
But the lower hose has 2 pieces, 21503 and 21505R. The site I was using gave me the complete part number for 21503...21503-4S100...but did not even list the other hose.
Then, I found the next website...with no part numbers, but at least an easier to read schematic.
And then after finding what I was looking for, back to the original site and I found the part info...for the identical radiator and motor, but in an Xterra. Phew.
So Max and I ordered the hoses, and are happy to report that they are not expensive, $300 pesos total, and will be here in a week or so.
As for Che, no scores, but the other day I did score on 2 block of cheddar cheese from Santa Cruz Abarrotes!! Post Che, we loaded up and then headed home for leche and a long siesta.
Post siesta, I ate comida and then was off to el gimnasio, to return home and find out the Canucks have traded away Lou. Huh? Putter around, clean up and then onto cook la cena...pollo muslo.
The familia had their comida, cook session, jumped on the bici and headed to a palacio, and then spent some time prowling around playa Santa Cruz.
Home for leche, tranquilo time and then into la cena.
Clean up, tina time and at 710pm, round one of bedtime is already under way!!
I am back!! Bedtime was a success with the lil'man falling asleep in his cuna. Oh, it still takes a total of 45-50 minutos, but it is muy tranquilo vs what it used to be like. Phew!!
So, at 8pm, time to watch the News and finish the update, as Bex works hard in the oficina (lots of work) and Max dreams about riding his bici to Pochutla.
Onto the fotos!!
All dressed up and ready to head off to Nissan y Che.
Fotos from my walk to el gimnasio.
Un ojo Bob, sampling his own goods. Look at the size of that coco!!
Day 2 of the the Fonatur trabajadores building a rock wall along this path. Stay tuned for updates.
Wait long enough, and it will come to you. Today it was fans as well as pots and pans.
Verdura, stacked and ready to go.
From the trip to the palacio...here is Max and an amiga, sitting down for some chelas!!
They seem like 2 niños cut from the same cloth. It was all about climbing on this tunnel vs through.
Hey Momma...peek a boo!!
And with his amiga gone, Max takes a moment to reminisce.
And was pooped out from all the horsing around.
Home for leche, and I managed to divert Max's ojos away from the iPad and Winnie the Pooh. Just long enough to take these fotos.
Misc...due to how much fun we all had on the trip to BC...ahhhh...no...we are looking into making a road trip. Where and when is still up for debate, but we need to keep in mind how much Max loves being in the camioneta (not much) and we also need to be aware of the upcoming rainy season of June through September.
Maybe Oaxaca City with an over night 1/2 way there, in San Jose del Pacifico?
Mañana? Sloppy Joes at playa Mojon!!
Have a great miercoles y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
