Buenos tardes. No internet yet...but I am told that at 230pm a Telmex technician arrived...for a 9am-2pm cita. We were gone, but left a note on the door, saying we would be back by 4pm. Currently 430pm and no sign of him. Doph.
So, I am "borrowing" someones internet signal, "robo" (from the verbo robar...to steal) as Victor called it. I am sitting on a foot stool, outside their condo door, cold Miller Light in hand and getting attacked by mosquitos. All to get you folks some fotos!!
From the Saturday morning tour.
Even a small rampa can be peligro.
Note where Max is looking...and note his front tire.
Last rampa foto...Poppa scrambled...but Max pulled it off!!
Poppa in the sombra as Max does laps around the fountain.
Practicing walking with the bici. ¿Por que? I do not know why...he just likes to do it.
Saturday afternoon at the waterslides. These slides are FAST.
Hmmm...an hombre taking a siesta in the slide? This was before they turned the agua on for us.
Yes, that would be Max y madre.
And here they come!!
He is still smiling!!
Dos ojos cerrado!!
Success!! He did the big slide twice!!
Max y madre went on a shorter slide, and were able to stop before the last drop. There, Bex worked on teaching Max to hold his hand across his chest so he could slide. Round one did not go as planned.
Looks worse then it was...he was a-ok.
Round two started out great...not his hand placement.
But then he felt he was going too fast and it was time for the hand brakes to come out.
But as you can see...he made it all the way down!!
Max laughing as he and his Poppa really came to a stop!!
We will continue to work on hand placement!! But overall, he did super on all the slides he went on.
A little bouncie castle in the ginchies, before heading back into the albercas to cool down.
He could go like this for hours.
All dressed up for Hugo's fiesta. It started at 4pm, we arrived around 415pm.
And this is what it looked like at 425pm. Being late is not an issue, even for the hosts.
The familia arrived and Max guzzled down some jamaica.
What? Another bouncie castle? Score for Max!!
It would not be a fiesta without a piñata.
Hola hola...chick a pow pow.
From the Sunday morning prowl. In swim gear so we could have a quick walk and then onto familia swim.
A comedor economico. If you have an iron stomach, go for it. The boss of this cart, is a grumpy old fart who never smiles. He would not even say hola to Max when Max wheeled by and waved hola. Now when we go by, Max always says "no amable", not friendly. Hilarious!!
Sidewalk detour. This arbol was growing from the sidewalk and through floor of the restaurante on the second floor. Not any more!!
This old VW van caught Max's attention.
Hello...water park!!
From hoy, today. Max is one very animated breakfast companion.
Adjusting the burner on the counter top stove.
Oven knob and a little duct tape...ta-da!!
And then it was time for a tour. We were on a long one...off to chat up Telmex and see about getting our linea repaired. End result? Everyone there loves Max...hello. And we have a cita either today o mañana o mañana o mañana. Ja ja ja
We were headed out, when a dumb a** drove his moto on the sidewalk, right by Max.
Max wheeled over to me and then went back to posing, with a "Poppa...what a dum a**" look on his face.
It was a Canadian driving his moto to his condo so he could lock it up until next old fart season.
Note the un-marked face.
Oh yes, this planter was the culprit.
Muy triste niño...y padre.
But he cried only for a few minutes and after some abrazos and letting him know that palomas were eating Cheerios off his bandana, he smiled again.
What happened? He drove right into the planter as I was walking ahead of him. Doph. It is a "good" scrape and Doc Madre has applied the cremas needed.
Trimming a palma. No security belt, just some ropes that he uses as leverage for his feet. Doph.
Time to clean up the condo and get us ready for the PM rutina y la cena.
We are all good...and even though I connected to the internet, I could not get into email. If you really need me...wait another día!! Welcome to Mexico!!
Hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
