I would be pensive too...if I had woken up at 535am like Max did. Wait a minute...I did wake up at 535am.
Breezing through the day...usual early morning rutina, followed by tranquilo time in the PP, off for the prowl, and then home for desayunos. Off to Che and then home for leche y a siesta, and it was not a long one...doph.
We needed to go to Santa Cruz to check out a restaurante, one we were thinking about for Max's fiesta. So Bex packed up everything she would need for the afternoon con Max, including his comida, and off we went.
It looks like this place will be great and it is right on the playa. We have a large palapa to hide from el sol, we will bring our postre y pastel and the restaurante will provide the beers y refrescos. We might buy some snacks, but if peeps want meals...bring your pesos!!
The prices are right...$20 pesos for bevies, and my only concern is that they do not double book this event. I am not sure we are actually reserving the spot...but there are other spots in the same restaurante in case we need it. Stay tuned.
I walked with the family onto the playa, and left them eating their lunch in the shade. I headed home and then it was off to el gimnasio. A short session and for the first time in a loooong time, I came home and actually sat in el sol and then had a dip in the alberca.
Follow that with getting the casa ready for la cena and the PM rutina.
The familia spent 4 hours prowling Santa Cruz and then walking home...wow. No wonder Max was lights out tonight...score!!
We met back for leche and we are back on the bottle. Max just doesn't want any leche unless it is in the bottle...back to the drawing board. Kinda funny though, as he will drink all other beverages from cups and water bottles etc. Hmmm.
Good dinner, easy tina time and super easy bed time...and you are caught up.
810pm, Max is asleep, Bex is hard at work on some drawings for a new client, one she found via using Linkedin...score. I am about to finish this update and then it is off to watch the News and maybe some baseball.
But first, the fotos.
Starting the prowl and first off Max needs to look at the banderas on Hector's gorra.
We see many Mexicans wearing Canadian logo'd playeras y gorras. Today I explained to Silverio what the O'Canada on his shirt meant, as well as what a moose was.
If we make a left out of the CP gates, 99.9% of the time we stop at this gap in the fencing (the broken spear) so Max can point it out to me.
Max checking out the new paint job on this restaurante's wall.
We taught Max about tibauron, sharks, and we did this by making the noise from the movie Jaws...na-na, na-na, na-na. Max now does that whenever he sees pescado, or is eating it.
Martes is one of the delivery days for fresh fruta y verdura.
Max was sitting here moments before this foto was taken.
But I caught up to him later on his Cheerio pit stop.
Adios to some amigos.
Back to the business of eating Cheerios.
Doing the wash at 730am, on the roof of a 3 story building.
One of the big camions that brings the produce in from the Oaxaca valley.
The driver catching some shut eye before the 6 hour drive back.
I think this hombre owns a small plot of land and grows a few veggies. I see him pushing his carretilla around town, trying to sell his produce. Today he was taking a well deserved break.
Something I had never seen before.
Forget that it was 33,o grados out and this hombre is dressed for winter, he was making his own bricks and then putting them out into the sun to dry.
I think someone forgot to add wiring to the drawings before they built this.
I see stuff like this all the time.
That's all mis amigos.
Have a great miercoles y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
