Buenos noches!!
What is it going to be? Cute?
Cuter?
Or cutest?
It is currently 745pm and our casa is tranquilo!! Bex is hard at work in the oficina, Bubba is borrowing some chill time in Max's chill room, and after a long and fun day, Max passed out cold 5 minutes into The Whisperer's shift. Score!!
Waaaay early day...not sure why he reverted back to pre-5am wake up...doph.
Bex had the early shift and woke up to lluvia, rain. Poppa was up at 6am'ish and by the time the boys went for their 720am prowl, the rain had stopped. Score. And this afternoon? Sunny skies and hola hola to playa Mojon.
In between the prowl y Mojon? A huge desayunos and then a good siesta.
We enjoy our Mojon time...hello...but wow, is it a production to get packed, get there, get unpacked, change a panale or 2, repack, get back into La Crucecita and then unpack.
But as I said, we all enjoy the time there. Good news is that on the way to and from Mojon, no one had motion sickness!!
The rainy and stormy season took it's toll on Mojon and it was visible the moment we turned off the highway and took the road down to the playa. We hadn't been to Mojon since rainy season started, late May, and the lot is now smaller due to the olas, missing it's palapa and overgrown with weeds.
Other then the olas washing away a few meters of the lot, there is nothing that Roman and his team cannot fix. We will probably be up and running in a few weeks...stay tuned. And keep reading as there are a ton of Mojon fotos to follow.
Post Mojon it was go go go. Bex y Max headed to the CP alberca to rinse themselves and the gear off. Poppa headed upstairs to get the casa ready for the PM rutina and then get la cena started. Bex preps the pollo reggianno and Bubba cooks it up...a good team with great results!!
Max ate a ton, off to clean up, tina time, FT cone O y O and then off to bed...and that was the day.
Onto the fotos.
From our AM prowl and Max is practicing his balancing...while eating Cheerios!!
Eagle eyes has spotted someone.
You say what?
Hey tough guy...why don't you just come over her and say that?
Poser.
Climber.
Forgetter of Cheerios.
When Max "leaps" off these 6 cm steps, he bends his head to one side. Por que? No sé.
Travelling shoe tienda de campaña...tent.
Professionally wired for luz, electricity.
Did I mention it only stopped raining at 630am? Yikes.
All that prowling...agua pit stop.
We did not find el gato in his normal area...but after some searching, we found him keeping seco, dry.
Dos amigos.
Off to Mojon and moments after storming the beach, Madre is into play mode. Max will catch up with her soon.
Off to survey the damage from Rainy Season 2013.
Our lot...there used to be a palapa there.
The water wells were once on our property.
Looking west'ish. The haze is due to the salt in the air.
Very lush on the hill side.
A rocky playa, but we expect to see the sand return in a month or so.
This lot lost it's front fence.
The white house has been deserted for a few years and has now been ransacked as well as heavily damaged due to the storms.
This is it's pool.
And the other part of it.
This casa belongs to 2 couples from Alberta. Every year they too lose land to the ocean.
We prowled to the end of the playa so Bex could catch some waves.
Momma still has the touch!!
Meanwhile, the lil'explorer is working his way up, and then down, a fresh water stream that will disappear in another month or so, when dry season officially starts.
Success...del mar.
Surf lesson.
Max loves the olas...especially when he is with his Momma.
Yup, vida es buena.
Have a great lunes y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
