Max y Poppa on their AM prowl.
Buenos noches!! Wish us luck...we are trying to move Max's bedtime later by 30 minutos tonight and mañana and then maybe by an hour on Saturday night. Por que? We are hoping that when we put him to bed at 830pm on Saturday, he will sleep until 630am (or later) on Sunday morning, which due to the time change, will be 530am.
We really hopes this works as no one is looking forward to waking up at 530am and then setting the clocks back una hora to 430am!!! Stay tuned.
How was anoche? One stir and one wake up when Poppa fumbled around to turn off the a/c and open the window. And what time did we wake up? 545am...not as nice as 6am or later, but waaaay better then 5am!!
And who slept right through the 2 tremblores we had, including one really big one? Not Bex or Bubba...but the lil'man did not stir.
Poppa had the early shift and after some lounging (serious...30 minutos Max did not move as I held his ear back and we slumbered) we headed into videos, leche, tranquilo time and then the AM prowl.
We were off to the hospital where the nurse, our amiga, thought that due to Max's size, he was 3 years old!! We were there to check on his vacuna schedule and he is all up to date. She did mention he needs a flu shot in enero and twice a year they give polio shots....huh? That last part is news to me and we will do some research on that. According to their schedule, we have until febrero and then an otra in mayo. Stay tuned.
Long prowl as it is 15 minutos plus to the hospital and after that we prowled our way back through centro and into Poopie Loopie. There, we stocked up on pollo for tonight's fajitas, lomo cerdo for mañana and a couple of big rib eyes for domingo. Score!!
Home for desayunos and believe it or not, it was only 845am. Lot's happens here in the early morning!!
Big desayunos and then after some digestive time, it was off for familia pool time and then siesta y leche.
Not much computer work for Poppa and I grabbed some good shut eye with the lil'man.
Post siesta I was off to el gimnasio and then home for a bunch of errands. Pay the propane bill ($1100 pesos for 2 months of hot water and the dryer), take apart and clean the 2 floor fans, ventiladors, do a wash and then get the casa set up and cook la cena.
The familia had a post siesta prowl and then after their comida, it was off to playa Santa Cruz. Lots of swimming and prowling, and they also stopped into the restaurante where we are having the fiesta. knowing how laid back the Mexican way can be, we are trying to ensure all the details are covered off...several times!!
Hoping for no sorpresas, surprises, on 3 de noviembre!! Did I mention that we might see 50 peeps there? Yikes!!
They bici'd home, had leche y clean up and then onto la cena. Stretching out the night, we had a long tina time, the FT con Oma y Opa and at 745pm, round one is half over. Hoping the lil'man is out by 815pm...stay tuned.
Onto the fotos.
We watch the videos on the lap top and in bed. When we are ready to move to the Party Palace, I plop Max into his cuna and go set up the gates etc.
Here Max is lit up by the light of the computer screen, while he watches to see who steals Winnie the Pooh's honey.
He has seen the video a dozen times...and still is concerned that Winnie hasn't caught on to who the thieves are.
El sol rising above the mall.
Max deciding which way we will go.
I think someone walked by and said hola and Max is saying "NO".
Como Galleta. That is what the Mexicans call the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street, Plaza Sésamo.
When Max sees things on the ground that he does not know the name for, he will call them poo. And he knows not to step in them or touch them...no tocar!!
Today he takes a minute to contemplate the real thing...friggin perros.
We bumped into Hector. These guys work from 7am until 4pm, with 30 minutos break for desayunos at 10am and an hour para la comida, at 2pm. You would be surprised at how many times a day we see them prowling the calle, grabbing tortillas, Coca Cola etc.
Max knows the word hole y peligro, dangerous.
On the way to the hospital and Max loves this hill. You will get the idea...
Pooped.
A few fotos from my gym walk. These are the boys getting their carretillas, wheelbarrows, full of rambutan and otra frutas, all for sale in centro...and bought often by madre!!
Break time.
Ok, that's it...you are all caught up.
Have a great viernes!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
