A post-siesta foto from Photo Booth.

Buenos noches!!

A better day for el Diablo and that means a better day for his padres!! Yippee!!

But…the night started rough. Darn chupy!! Up 3 or 4 times between 8pm and 930pm and finally we managed to get him to sleep on the bed…next to Poppa!!

We had some great zzz’s until 1am, panale pit stop and then at 515am, he was like a Jack in the Box…boing.

Now, just because the lil’man is awake, does not mean his padre will be.

I lounged as Max had leche, read some books, played in his cuna and sharpened the steak knives.

And at 6am, out come the computer for multiple viewings of his favorite airplane video, and then we surfed YouTube. If he didn’t like the video, he was not shy to say NO.

Max’s 2nd favorite video? Laughing bebés!!

A good prowl, great desayunos and for the first time in 4 days…famila alberca time!!

After yesterday’s showers, we had a cool night, hola to 25,0 grados and we also had Fall (Canadian) like temperatures on our prowl. And how was the agua in the pool? Brrrr…fria!!

But Max had soooo much fun, more so because they had a large hose filling the pool and Max was shooting the water everywhere!!

Much better siesta and that led to a much better afternoon for Bex y Max…phew.

After their comida they were off to playa Chahue, and using their new membership…hola hola to Club Chahue!! I guess there are some nice amenities there and for a one time fee (we don’t understand this) of $150 pesos, they get to use the club and get discounts on food y bebidas.

I will join then some day soon and post some fotos.

While the familia was at the playa y alberca, Bubba was at the gym and then home to hide the leche.

Good dinner, early tina time and a FT with Oma y Opa, and then it was off to bed.

Bex used up her 30 minutos and then The Whisperer came in to sing some Gilligans, but first he got the best hug he has EVER had from the lil’man!! And throw in a few besitos too!!

Still awake when plopped into the cuna, a few more verses, a reassuring hand on his back, and lights out. Phew.

Currently 830pm and I enjoy the chill room with Max and Bex is getting ready to head up to the oficina.

Fotos!!

Llantas...oh he loves the llantas!!

Unseen on Max's right, was a group of new Policia Municipal being run through some military style training. Here Max is mimicking the jumping jacks the recruits were doing.

And then Max spotted his Poppa taking fotos.

Off to check out this prickly arbol.

Moments after Max said hola to his amigos, in rolled the camioneta and off the trabajadores scrambled.

Today's game was playing toss and retrieve with his limon.

And here, outside Oxxo, Max is showing me how and where he fell and hurt himself, maybe 4 months ago!!

The familia off to Club Chahue.

It is a Mexican thing. You need a new sidewalk, you get it down yourself.

One hot day and this hombre is fully geared up and surrounded by piñas. Yikes.

Misc

How cool is 25,0 grados? Max and I turned off the air con at 2am!!

On miercoles our cleaner comes and she was telling me that some fellow Canadians were going to bring her back some weights from the Estados Unidos, USA.

Knowing they are Canadian, I asked Georgette if Bev and Pedro were bringing the weights from Canada o Estados Unidos and she said Canada.

I had the feeling she thought the 2 countries were the same, as in one, so I chatted her up about them and when it was clear she did not know, I brought out Google Map and gave her a quick geography lesson.

She was intrigued and thanked me for taking the time to show her. It just dawned on me that I told her how long it takes to fly from here to DF and then onto Canada, but it probably means nothing to her as she has no idea about how far a plane flies in 6 hours.

It reminds me of the valuable driving lesson for here in Mexico. If you are lost and in a small town, there is no point in asking which way to the next big town. Most peeps in the small towns never go to the big towns, so you need to ask what the directions are to the next small town on your mapa.

Ok, you are all caught up.

Have a great jueves!!

Marco, Bexico y Max
