Happy miercoles to all!!

Here are the fotos from ayer, taken during our stroll around Lonsdale Quay.

A couple of nice views of Vancouver.

And then we saw this helicopter.

On the back…

Of this small boat that we are thinking of buying!!

The communication equipment.

And here is some info on the Attessa IV

Misc foto from the Quay.

Fresh seafood

And then we saw this store.

They actually sold quesillo…queso (cheese) from Oaxaca.

And what is Bexico thinking about here?

The future of the Universe? What outfit to buy for Conejito?

Nahhhhh. What kind of fudge to buy!!!

Ja ja ja

So yesterday was a tranquilo day except for having to watch the Canucks lose 4-0. Hope the boys at Nissan are ok with t-shirts for a Canucks team that is starting the season like they normally do. And then end up in the Stanley Cup!!!

Great seeing mis amigos as well. Everyone (except me…for 2-3 more weeks) is so busy so making time to get away from work and family is tough, so it was appreciated to see them.

I showed up with a foto of the three of us from many moons ago…and out comes a pck of fotos that Svenner brought with him. Melon had hair and I had my “just back from Mexico” tan!!

Today? It was a busy day and started with the gym and then off to our mid-wives. There are 4 mid-wives that work out of the office and today I confirmed that once Bexico is in active labour, there will always be a mid-wife in the room…unless we kick her out!! Ja ja ja

We are making the rounds and meeting all 4 as you never know who is working when it all starts happening. Today’s m-w was very friendly and did a great job answering our questions. Our first m-w…I think we make her nervous and that makes us nervous!!

The big thing on our mind? The results of the ultra sound of two days ago. According to the information, all signs are normal but the niño might be on the bigger side…but only slightly.

This m-w measured Bexico and said she thinks it is not a problem, but will confer with the other m-w and if need be, we go see an OB. Why the OB? If the niño is “at term” and too large (ours is not), they may induce or discuss “other” (vs natural) methods of delivery because giving birth to a football player is tough on madre y niño.

We met a very nice madre in the waiting room and we chatted her up, and then when we left we got a nice compliment from another madre, so we left feeling very good about everything!! Phew.

Off to Deserres, the art store. We have a very good papeleria in Huatulco…but there is nothing like walking the aisles of a store with soooo much selection. Bexcio only needed a sketch book and some pencils and we grabbed those.

Ayer we were in a art store on Lonsdale and the sales lady/cashier looked at Bexico’s belly and then proceeded to tell us a story about this mother she had seen carrying her niño in a sling/carrier. Now we plan on doing the same thing with our niño so we listen up thinking we are about to hear this great story.

Well it turns out this saleslady is dead set against slings and carriers and goes on piping how it is bad for the kid, the poor child etc. We just smiled and left. Hey lady…thanks for your unsolicited opinion!!! Ja ja ja

After our art store pit stop, off to Park Royal where we scored on a few items. Tried to use my Status card, but it is “expired” (like 5 years ago) and even though I have used it at this store before, today they could not accept it even though I stressed to the cashier that technically I was still a First Nations person. Ja ja ja

No go…paid the $4.75 in tax. Why do I not have the new card? Well…I was going to get one on this trip (like my driver’s license, Amex card etc), but new rules apply….you need your birth certificate and mine is back home in Huatulco. Doph.

Back home and Bexico went back to work (as she is currently doing at 820pm) and I checked out the day on the web. And then? Hello siesta!! We were told to get sleep now because we may not get much in a few weeks. Don’t have to tell me twice!! Ja ja ja

Had a quick iChat with mi hermana and hope all the stars align and we get to see her and she gets to see niño in November.

And that mis amigos, was our day. A good one if you ask me.

Mañana…hoping to grab a Bella (pizza) and watch the Canucks with mi hermano.

Bexico? She has planned on an all day work day. Not too many more of those in the next few weeks!!

Hasta mañana.

Marco y Bexico
