Typing out this blog entry on my MacBook…listen to my iPod at el gimnasio…thank you SJ.

Remember this sentence from 2 days ago?

“Don’t laugh at the service (or perceived lack of service) that you receive in Mexico.”

I still have not heard from the car alarm guy and wow did I get “I don’t give a poo” attitude from a secretary at an eye doctor’s oficina!! And while I am at it…Nike Canada has a crappy website in comparison to Big Brother to the South.

All I want is a pair of XL Nike socks for Yeu/Memo and you can find then on .com but cannot have them sent to Canada…and you cannot even find them on the .ca site.

Ahhhh…not hating, just stating.

Good locker storage day. Sold Bexico’s light table to an up and coming animation student. The look on his face when he confirmed for himself that he was about to pay only $50 for a great light table…worth every dollar.

As for the VCR…it was given away to a man who arrived on a bicycle…hmmmm. He too was appreciative and shook Bexico’s hand and thanked her before he headed off.

Bexico and work? She finished one project and picked up another!! Deadlines of this Sunday and then more next Friday. Getting a bit (hee x3) tougher as the energy level is not what it was a few weeks ago, and I know she would like to get out of the condo more often.

But she is still doing her workouts and enjoys them. Might be time to take her back up to the land of the “short bus” and have her go for another swim!!

Ayer, we were out of the house as we went to Metrotown….this mall is friggin huge in comparison to what we have and even to what Lalo told us about Acapulco. I remember Lalo explaining about these huge malls…we gotta bring him norte!! Ja ja ja

MT? Renewed my driver’s license and grabbed another set of onesies at ToysRUs for you know who. And how about that amigo Larry? Can you say $50 gift card at Baby Gap…also good at Old Navy? Thanks amigo!! We ended up spending $4 on a great hat/cap for niños first Haloween…in 2012.

All the costumes were on sale…but who wants to buy a princess outfit for a niño, or a shark outfit for a niña? That and they are made for October 31 weather here in Canada. Poor kid would be drenched wearing that in Huatulco. But on November 1 we will go and see what is on sale, is not so hot to wear, and won’t ruin a kids chance for a successful life!!! Lol

Hear about Bubba the Plumber? Our landlords must think we are toilet angry…the second toilet broke!! Ja ja ja First one blew a flapper (sounds ominous) and the second one broke a handle. All fixed…thank goodness for Crappy Tire. At least our landlord appreciates it and will reimburse us.

Last night…off to Lonsdale Quay to have some eats and bevies with Stu/Stuart. But to get there, I had to drive past a 5 plus KM line up of cars trying to get onto the Iron Workers Memorial bridge. There had been an accident an hour earlier and we actually got caught in the lineup as we were headed norte. Yikes…traffic jams.

Last traffic jam I recall in Huatulco was a few years back when the taxis went on strike and blocked the main road…Blvd Chahue.

As for Stu, always good to see him. I have known that cat since 1983 or so and he is one of the few hombres that I have kept in touch with over the years. And yes…I do recall going to Reno with him!!

Amigos, that was our Wednesday and now onto start our Thursday. First up? Breakfast at Joe’s with our amigas KA y Reikosan!!

Busy day planned. Will fill you in after it is said and done.

Saludos

815pm on Thursday evening…what another long day. Phew…we are not used to these. I guess we will have to get used to them!!! Ja ja ja

What a day!!

Had a great brunch with some amigas and it was nice to have the server at the restaurant recognize us!! And we haven’t been there for a year!! Great to catch up and was thrilled by the bag of goodies KA left us (all niño gear) as well as the advice of a mother with a 13 month old. And her hijo Sawyer? So cute!!

Yikes…3-1 Pens over Canucks…ahh it is first game of the season!! Lol

After eats, off to look for some bikinis…nothing fits me. Nahhhh…couldn’t find one for Bexico but we will keep looking. She did find a great looking bottom…that line is soooo loaded and ready for a joke.

Then it was off to Crocodilebaby…they give AWESOME service there. And after spending $600 on the stroller, we saw this great sticker and had a heart attack…$12? But they threw it in for us. What do you think?

We love it!!

Then off to Toys R Us again. Ayerconejito outfit for Conejito and they did not have our size…today we found it and bought it.

Bexico pit stop…Oscars bookstore on Broadway. It would not be a trip to Vancouver without stopping there for her!!

Onto a rug cleaning place. Might be lugging a great area rug back to Mexico. How long does it take to clean a 4’x6’ area rug? Here is what I was told….”yeh…two weeks…but like I said, we will call you when it is ready”. Ok…ja ja ja

Off to Park Royal…our tax free haven. First up was a look around at a sports store. Nothing for me but we found a $140 pair of runners for Bexico and after the discounts…we paid $40. Score!!

Hello Detroit Tigers!! 3-2 games over Yankees!!

Next stop…the camera shop. Their advice? Read the manual. Argh. I like the new camera…but it is no where near as easy to use as the Canon Goose bought me. But this one is waterproof….wait for those surf shots from Mojon…or the fishes of Salchi Bay!!

Oh oh…late for the $90 eye exam. Yup…I need progressive lenses if I want to be able to leave my glasses on and be able to see things far away and close up. Nope…I am not paying $575 to have new lenses put in my 1 year old frames or $565 for a new pair altogether. Huh? Same price? And the peeps in that eye wear store? Totally nuts.

Off to Old Navy and a score on some Canucks shirts for mis amigos at Nissan and some fun outfits for a niño born between October 24th and November 22nd!! Hello Scorpion…Mexico…Scorpion? And some cammo shorts that will fit in a year or so.

And one last thanks to Larry….a great gift of the gift certificate to Gap, Gap Kids y Old Navy.

Someone slipped a Cupcake into her belly and then we were off to the bookstore. Hello to 13 Dr. Seuss stories for $40!! And a gift for the boys at Gabriels as well. Some material to educate them on our great country…waaaaay up norte!!

Headed home to tally up the $$$ damage and then it was dinner time…pork chops y arroz!!

Bexico spent a few hours doing some work and she has caught up with her schedule.

Locker update…mañana we hope to sell another set of shelves and a file cabinet. Had a nibble on the wine glasses…stay tuned!!

And mañana is also our hospital tour…good to know where we are to go when the time comes.

Fin de semana? Might have a locker run on sábado, hello to Nascar Sunday and a great Thanksgiving dinner at mi hermanos on lunes. Going to be a busy one.

Buen fin de semana!!

Marco y Bexico
