Buenos noches!!

Well, we now know why the lil’hombre had a rough sleep. Max tiene gripa. He has a cold!!

Runny nose, lots of snot and the occasional cough. He was a trooper during the day and we kept the activities tranquilo…no swimming!! But his energy levels were low (almost that of an average niño) and tonight he has been struggling to sleep. Poor lil’man!!

But…he knows how to let us blow his nose!! Thank goodness because when we were at Che today, he sneezed up the biggest boogers I have ever seen!! Thank goodness I was buying Kleenex and ripped open the box. Ja ja ja

Tell a Mexican your niño has gripa and they ALL shake their heads in acknowledgement and then ALL of them give the same explanation why your niño has gripa…”cambio de clima”…change of climate. Hilarious…every one of them says it.

But talking about climate change…wow was it hot yesterday and then it stayed warm through most of the noche. We hit 35,2 during the day and the humido stuck around until midnight or so. Heck, it was 30,7 grados at 10pm…and that is without the 50% humido!!

A good AM rutina and thank goodness…Max ate his desayunos with no hesitations!! Phew.

We grabbed our parts from Nissan and found out that the lil’bump and run that I had the other day at Mojon, was a $750 peso bump. For the foreseeable future, we might be running around with 3 wheel caps vs 4!!

Big haul at Che…but no leche. Doph. But how about pretzels dipped in Cookie n’Cream chocolate? Score!! One bag seems to have disappeared already?

A long siesta and then madre y Max spent the afternoon together and Bubba hit the gym. No sol so no need to sit by the pool. I prepped the chili for dinner and then took Max out for a carry and then home for dinner and the PM rutina.

Max was great…lost it for a few minutes after we brushed his dientes, but bounced back as soon as he was in the tina. He has lost interest in the tina, but sure enjoyed walking around the outside of it while having his FT con Oma y Opa!!

He was lights out on madre’s chest and has stirred only once since we put him to sleep…knock on wood!!

Misc

I called TD to follow up on the missing $$ from my attempted ATM withdrawal back on 31 de enero. The good news? They will resubmit my claim because the bad news is that the first hombre was a dumb-a** and entered it as a fraud vs an ATM issue. Here’s to another 55 business days. Doph.

Lean foto day.

Some people would find this an inconvenience.

But at $10 pesos a melon?

In the future, if one of this niños was Max, guess which one it would be.

Some senoras with nice melons of their own.

Mañana? Off to the aeropuerto to greet the 2pm arrival of Bex’s parents, one hermana and her 2 hijos. They will jump on the bus to the resort they are staying at, but nice to see some familiar faces once they exit the airport.

A fun and relaxing week and Max will be able to spend lots of time with his 2 primos, whom he met when he was in Ontario last diciembre.

Buen fin de semana!!

Marco, Bexico y Max
