Buenos noches.
It is a late one and all I
can say is “yikes”. It was a wacky day and no one here is hoping for a repeat
of this day.
Lots of good things, like
3 walks for the boys, but I reiterate…what a wacky day.
Last night Max did NOT
want to sleep. He was lights out fairly quickly but was up several times and
between 1030pm and almost 1230am, padre spent most of the time trying to keep
him sleeping and not upset. Doph.
Madre took over and the
familia managed to sleep until 630am, with a short leche break around 4am.
I was up’ish at 7am and
the boys had their AM rutina, which went off as usual. It was a great walk and
lots of fotos to follow.
But after the walk is
where the day goes really wacky. Max gets some leche and falls fast asleep with
madre. The siesta is my responsibility and during the nap, Bex normally has
some time to get her day started.
So padre is hanging out
with sleeping bonito and after 30 minutes he wakes up and is upset. He looks at
me like “what are you doing here padre?” and normally I give him his chupy and
a hug or rock, and he is lights out.
Today? After 15 minutes of
being upset, Bex took over and padre hit the sack solo. I was pooped after the
rough start to last night’s sleep, and fell asleep for a good 90 minutes or so.
When I woke up, the
familia was returning from the alberca…huh? I thought they would be lights out
but no. Madre tried for 30 minutes of her own and no luck…Max was NOT going
back to sleep.
And the domino effect
starts. The familia had lunch and then a late nap and were up at 4pm. My
thought was that there was NO way Max would fall asleep at his normal time, if
he woke up so late.
Was I correct? Sadly yes
and it took Max 90 minutes to fall asleep tonite. Ugh. And that was after a
post cena walk in the hopes that it would tire him out. No luck. But hey…he is
just a lil’guy…as we keep reminding our selves!!
So while the familia had
their short late afternoon siesta, was at el gimnasio and rushed home to take
over Max time, hoping Bex could get some oficina time.
The plan that arose at 4pm
was for me to prep la cena and throw it in the horno and Bex would watch it and
get some work done while the boys went for walk #2.
Raro for the boys to have
2 walks and we had fun…hello.
Home for dinner and it was
an early one, so after clean up and pre-tina time…it was boys walk #3. I really
like the 6pm walk as it is much cooler and so many more peeps are out…more
holas for Max.
Home at 630pm and then
tina time, 90 minutes of trying to get Max to sleep, and you are all caught up.
Wacky day mis amigos, wacky day.
Just back from settling
the lil’drooler and we think his dientes might be bothering him, as his pillow
was soaked. Next time he wakes up, it will either be some Kanka or Niño
Tylenol. Stay tuned.
Fotos.
Max and his shape sorting camion, a regalo from his tía Penel.
He has figured out all shapes can fit in the elephant hole!!
The Party Palace. We are thinking another month or so for the mats and then adios!!
Check out this cool money grabbing cepillo.
We cannot use it to brush Max's dientes as he just wants to grab it, so we give it to him while we use another brush. Ahhh, the art of distraction!!
Not too big to fit into the basket still.
Today's outfit.
One smiling niño who HATES to sleep!!
Max, le gusta Corona?
He looks good on this eh?
Hey look padre, mi amigo, el gato.
Max, suave...suave.
Yup, the face. And right after this foto was taken, I scooted over to make sure the gato...and Max, were alright!!
Max LOVES this banco because of el sol y la luna, both palabras that he is practicing. But he also likes the frogs and is practicing saying "ribbit".
You can never get tired of watching the lil'man being intrigued by the sprinklers in the parque.
Today he had an audience of no less then 10 peeps watching and smiling every time the agua came to him, hit him and made him smile, laugh and do a jig.
Mañana? Hoping for a
normal día and we will go from there. Mojon day? Hoping it can be miercoles.
Hasta luego.
Marco, Bexico y Max
