La vida es buena!! Dos sleeping beauties!!
Buenos tardes…good afternoon...I have a few
minutes to start the update…so here it goes.
What happened ayer? I was
traumatized…the lil’guy fell out of bed on my shift. It wasn’t too high and it
was dark, so I am not even sure what hit the ground first. Gasp.
How did it start? He was stirring and I
rushed into the bedroom and in the mili-second it took to put down my
flashlight and try to get my eyes adjusted to the pitch black…he was
over/through his “blockade” of pillows and after a speed crawl…doph.
So, suffice it to say,
both madre y yo were worried. He looked a-ok and only cried for a minute…the
lil’hombre is tough…but that also worried us.
How many things race
through your head when this has happened? Oh, maybe a million plus.
Scary part #77…he was FAST
asleep after it happened…totally relaxed…rag doll’ish. That doesn't sound like our lil'ball o' energía does it?
So I decided it was time
to spend the night with the lil’guy to make sure everything was ok. I wanted to
see him in the day light to see how he acted and if there was a
golpe…bump/bruise, but that would have to wait.
So the lil’guy and I spent
most of the next 10 hours in bed together…a little male bonding time. We even
moved to the otra recamara at 4am so madre could get a better sleep…the lil’guy
was TNT.
Morning came and he was
fine and is still fine. Phew. Freaking scary and padre was one upset padre. I
must do better…
So now we will have to
figure out sleeping arrangements as well as the need for a new revamped Party
Palace. Por que? Max can now raise his leg high enough, and using his arms, he
pulls himself onto these 18” high plastic totes.
He is a natural monkey…that
needs us to watch him like a hawk.
So, that was what happened
at 9pm last night. That will NOT be happening again…but what else will we see
him get into. Hey Oma and Opa…didn’t I take a roll down some stairs when I was
a bebé?
So today…what have we been
up to?
Max and I let madre have a
well deserved sleep. How about media día as a wake up call?
So after 7am, we had our
usual rutina and after a siesta, we hit up Che. But first was a pit stop at
Tony’s to see if he can look at the a/c on the camioneta. Of course with the 2
of us in the truck, no a/c and it was hot today!!
Mañana 10am and Tony will
see if it is a quick fix or if we need some more refrigerant. Please don’t be
the compressor…please don’t be the compressor!!
Che was Che…but we did
score on some more real leche!! But what is up with this…no huevos in the whole
super mercado? Daniel tells me it might have something to do with the chicken
flu? I think he means avian flu…I had not heard of it being a issue here…stay
tuned.
We also picked up some
banners for some Cdn neighbors who will be returning in November. They like the
Día de la Independencia banners…but they are only available this time of year.
Four banners…$140 pesos.
I know you are all curious
about what we are having para la cena. Hoy, cerdo pulpa con papas y mañana is
the Bubba burritos we did not have the otra día. Y domingo? Hola to rib eye
domingo!!
Enough about food. Max has
been at the playa a lot lately!! Ayer we all loaded up and hit Chahue.
Hmmm...I hear a monster behind that door.
Uh....time to go...quickly now!!
And need another reason why we live here?
One VERY busy playa Chahue!! Not.
More olas, bigger olas, some current and a very quick drop off.
And hoy, the familia sin
padre, went to playa Santa Cruz. Por que Santa Cruz? There is a huge drop off
at Chahue and a current to boot. It took me for surprise when Max and I
ventured out yesterday, and madre made the safe call to stick to the tranquilo
playa.
If they added a pool,
showers and a change room, Santa Cruz would be happening!!
Me? El gimnasio and then a
quick stroll through centro. The boys at Gabriels are all well…but I have not
seen Lalo in weeks. I hope he is well, where ever he is.
I got home…and it was
empty!! Shortly after, madre y Max returned from their time at Santa Cruz.
And padre y Max hung out pre-siesta time.
And
just like that, nap time for the two of them and I headed out to grab some
papas and then prepped for dinner.
Bumped into Amy as he was
bringing up our water…busy day for him as it was hot. Over 200 garaffons of
water today!! And that was without his sidekick Victor, who if I understand Amy
correctly, is on vacation for 2 weeks.
Good dinner, quick rutina
as Max was tired, and at 9pm he is asleep!! In the new and improved sleep
area…but he will be moving into the cuna mañana…stay tuned.
Bexico update…had that
much needed sleep as she has been working long and hard on projects like this
one. Click HERE and then scroll down to see her latest video.
And now she sill work on
some other clients projects and then get back to these clients as they love her
work so much, they have another project waiting for her.
Exciting times as even
though working in a big name studio and on a big name movie would be cool, she
is getting so much different experience by working on all the different
projects she has been hired for.
That…and she works from
home!!
Here are a bunch of fotos
from the past few days.
The town is getting all dressed up!!
The tamarindos no longer where the tamarindo colored uniforms. Are they still called tamarindos?
Have silla, will travel.
At the parque, on the way to el gimnasio. Pit stop to check the oil.
I guess Bob had the same idea?
Raphael, mi mecanico amigo, tells me that peeps here are terrible at getting tune ups. They wait until their vehicles are broken down, vs getting the preventative stuff done. He also told me he does not work on a/c.
Miau. I wonder if his a/c works?
Early morning and one of many carts being prepped for the day.
One day....
Another day, another mordida...bite!!
Each water company uses the same garaffons, but has it's own colored lid.
Wow…fin de semana all ready? Mañana…Tony and the a/c and the race is on at 630pm!! Maybe a familia trip to Santa Cruz? Hello del mar!!
Buen fin de semana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
