Buenos tardes!!

245pm, Max y madre are working on siesta #2 while padre is watching the race. Not sure why TSN2 delayed airing it…missed some 23 laps. Doph.

Feliz Cumpleaños to Oma!! Plugged in the MJ and gave her a call to say Happy Birthday. She is at mi hermano’s “cabin” and enjoying a great day….well deserved.

So…did Max finally fall asleep and stay asleep? Yup. Madre held him in her arms until he fell asleep and I boogied out to Simi and grabbed him the gotas for his belly.

He did wake up and we dosed him and he fell asleep and the rest if the night was normal. Phew. We even slept in again…hola to 725am!!

The Palace worked so-so, but I needed to put Max in the cuna so I could make breakfast. A few hours ago, Max y madre went for a walk and stopped into the “Cosco” (they get items from Costco and resell them…slightly marked up) and grabbed some more floor mats.

Welcome to the new and improved Party Palace!! The totes have been raised just enough so that the lil’monkey knows he cannot raise a leg up onto them!! We might be safe for anther month!! Ja ja ja

After Max and I shook some cob webs out, we decided to go for our walk antes desayunos. We heard the parades, so we grabbed our sling y camera and were out the door.

We have not been in Huatulco during Día de la Independencia, so it was amazing to see how many niños actually live and go to school here!!

And I am told this wasn’t even all of them!!

They were all in school uniforms and were doing their best (?) at marching and including cheers of Viva Mexico!! Easy to see what schools have the most money and which don’t.

The streets were packed and it was almost like it was a parade for Max as everywhere we walked, we had peeps saying hola to us…peeps including Galdino, Betto y the senorita that works at the lab!!

Fotos of what we saw....click on foto for a larger image.

We headed home and had breakfast and then hit the sack for nap #1…hola to 45 minutes!!

After that, I puttered around and then looked for the race on TV….doph, I was an hour early. Huh?

So I suited up and joined the familia in the alberca!! Good float and then we all headed upstairs….me to curse TSN2 for not airing the race, and M&M to have some comida.

OK, you are caught up mid day. After the race is over, I think there is a Skype with RJ and then we are headed to the playa. An easy cena, burgers, so a later beach trip is a-ok!!

Finish this update later mis amigos.

Buenos noches!!

Max y madre are tanking up, the news is on and I have 15 minutes before I take over for madre. Here’s hoping that the lil’guy is tired enough to fall asleep!!

Today Max is on a 2 nap schedule….this after another 2 hour nap con his madre!! Two hours? Lucky peeps!! The nap was so long that the two of them had to push their Skype with RJ by 30 minutes!!

So, how was our afternoon? Tranquilo all around, as they napped and I watched the race.

No beach today as it was late, but Max and I prowled around the alberca deck while Bex chatted up her folks, and then we all hit the pool again.

We also popped in to say hola to Bev y Pedro, Canadian amigos who will be here for the next 6 months or so. Pedro was here a month ago, flew back to Ontario to close up the house and returned a few days ago.

He was kind enough to mail off our rent cheques and brought down some things Bexico had ordered for Max…and some more Fibre 1 bars for Bex!! Oh Bex!!

Quick dinner…but oh so good, followed by the pm rutina and you are all caught up.

925pm UPDATE

Max is asleep!! I took over and he seemed resolved to the fact that it was bed time, so he gave me a hug and a wink, then lay down and fell asleep.

The curtain being left open slightly, seems to have had a good impact. Not too dark and via the camera, we see him toss n’turn, but he seems to be much better at soothing himself!! That and NO gassy foods for dinner!!

Now if we could only teach what we have learned, to the peeps below us!! Kids crying at all hours, TV on at all hours, a few loud “smacks” of niños being swatted….argh.

Our lunes? Pizza Monday…Chef Bex is hard at work already, making the dough as well as prepping all of the veggies etc for Max’s meals.

We will try to get to the playa as a familia, but will have to see how schedules work out. I do have a 4pm cita con Roman…time to review some Mojon numbers. Stay tuned!!

Also need to get back into the gym. As you can see from the foto, I have some work to do on my biceps.

The rest of the fotos.

Pensive Max Van.

Loosening up. Por que?

Porque, another attempted escape!!

Have a great lunes!!

Marco, Bexico y Max
