On the 3rd floor landing, heading off to playa Santa Cruz for a paddleboard!!
Buenos tardes!! What a great día!! Hmmmm....the best part so far? The early bedtime? The great noche of sleep? The familia paddle? The Poppa paddle with his lil'man on the front of his board? The flying fish? The devil rays I paddled over? The silly swim with mi hijo in the CP alberca? The awesome manos during the siesta? Or maybe the NFL football?
Hola hola and at 340pm, the familia is out and about on a prowl...Max was not interested in a bici ride with his madre. Something about a rampa or a large hill has spooked him. I think The Boys will go out mañana for our bici tour and I will try and get Max to show me what has spooked him. Stay tuned.
Here comes kick-off......game on!!
So yes, we had a much better bedtime...820pm vs 9pm from the noche before. Yahoo!! A great noche with a 1am pee break and then a great sleep until 530am. Yikes. Manos until 6am and then there was the request for a pee and mas leche por favor.
Videos at 630am and due to the paddle, we were up and at'em at 7am.
Fruta and madre helped get the lil'man geared up and we were out the door at 8am. Grabbed our boards from the shop and lugged them to the playa, only a few minutos away.
I received the 2.5 minuto clase from Bex, and off we went. Max was on Bex's board and he just sits there and enjoys the view.
I was getting the hang of it but as we came closer to playa Entrega the olas and wind picked up and there was also some wake from some fishing boats. Man over board!! But I swam back to the board, climbed on and we managed to get to a little cove right next to Entrega.
Crystal clear water above a reef and we saw some pez and also beached the boards to grab some agua and have a swim.
On the way back to Santa Cruz, the lil'man sat on the front of my board and it made for a wee nervous Bubba. But we made it back a-ok!! I loved having Max on the board as we paddled by the jumping fish and over the devil rays!!
Back on shore we lugged the boards back and Max helped carry the front of my paddle. He received a gear change and helped his madre wash off the boards and then we headed home in the camioneta verde.
Bex was off for a bici and was home soon after we arrived. Onto the rest of desayunos and we also cooked our chili for tonight's cena.
Back into swim gear and we prowled to the panificadora for some teleras, crusty buns, and then onto the CP alberca.
Great swim, lots of giggles and then upstairs for some leche (not much), libros and lots of attitude and defiance. Oh Max!!
I took over siesta duty and the lil'man was out in 15 minutos!! I puttered around and then I too took some shut eye and we were woken up by madre at 130pm. Oh, she too was rested after having her own siesta. Score!!
Max was onto cooking huevos with his madre, but he confused her because he wanted to do everything a certain way...which happened to be the way that he cooks huevos with his Poppa in the morning.
Figured it all out and we all sat down for comida...Poppa helping the lil'man eat his lunch by keeping his boca full!!
Onto the Max mop and then after Bex managed to lasso him and get him geared up, out they went.
Me? Casa clean up and now ta-da...blog updating. And now that you are all caught up...onto the fotos!!
More from the 3rd floor landing.
Gearing up for the paddle.
I am sooooo thrilled to be going paddling.
The Boys have returned!!
Wash down.
Not too many fotos...time to check out what is on the crappy Sony DSC W730.
Max and Kyler.
The niños have traded rides.
Uh...Kyler's ride has his conejo coming along?
I would like mi bici back..por favor.
Another day, another visit with Kyler.
And from ayer, no swimming at La Bocana, but with madre's help, hola hola to Max's foxhole!!
The camion is always close by.
Something Max will miss when he is back in Canada? Pina coco yogurt!!
Off to watch some football!! Back at you post tina time.
Hasta pronto.
Buenos noches!! Maybe...maybe the best part of mi día was spending 20 minutos with mi hijo, drawing all different sorts of things on his dry erase easel. A self portrait, airplanes, missile strikes...oh, he loves the missile strikes, a few perros and of course a few drawings of Ciao Ciao.
As for the afternoon...tranquilo time watching football...might there be 2 upsets today?
The familia had a fun prowl through the zocalo, made their way to Soriana (our idea of a recreation center) and then home for some pre-cena tranquilo time.
A good dinner, some biz (of course), and then a tranquilo'ish time in the Palacio vs going out for a post cena prowl.
Tina time is over and we will soon be onto leche y libros and knock on wood...a quick bedtime!!
Misc...heard coming out of Max's boca during his dance party with Bex at Soriana? "Shake it, but don't break it"...hilarious!!
That was our domingo.
Have a great noche y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
