Buenos noches!!

What a super day!!

The lil’guy brought us so much joy today…as usual.

Great AM rutina and again with the town full, lots of peeps to say hola to and have ask if Max’s hair color is natural.

Currently 945pm…I should have made some notes as I am struggling to recall what happened today!! Ja ja ja

Ok, there was a great siesta, not as long as ayer. I also went to el gimnasio and also 2 trips to Papaloapan, once for rib eyes and then back for some molida res.

I had a little pool time while the familia slept and Max and I also took a pre-cena walk around town. The walk was post 530pm so it was getting darker, more peeps were out and lots for Max to "ah ah" at.

I swear that no less then 20 peeps said hola to Max or wanted to hold him or give him a beso!!

We even saw a group of 4 niños near the library and even they knew Max. The niña was so nice that she let Max touch her ears…he was muy curioso about her earrings.

On the walk home from el gimnasio I was saying to myself that Huatulco is a VERY small town and it could become boring if you did not do some side excursions etc.

But for raising Max in? The town knows and loves him and when he is a little bit older, he will be able to walk around and truly have one big Mexican familia.

Madre y Max had a great time on the bici…until they blew a tube while about to head home from the playa. But they jumped into a cab and the friendly taxista loaded the bici up and dropped them at the tienda which is up the street from our condo.

$50 pesos later, all is good and the bici is ready for another adventure.

I think that was our tranquilo día. Oh yeah, Max’s stomach bug seems to be gone…knock on wood!!

As promised, more then one foto.

I was in the cocina cleaning up after desayunos, and was wopndering why the stereo kept going on and off.

Oh he was busted all right. Right after I took the foto and moved the bin back so he could not climb again!!

Headed to the kiosko with the pelota.

Bici time for Max y madre.

Have casco, will travel.

Mañana? Max has another set of vacunas and that means we will be at the hospital by 730am.

After first siesta, we are thinking of taking our cooler, bebidas y sandwiches and heading to our palapa.

Have a great viernes.

Buenos noches!!

Wow…what a short día. Por que? Up at 730am, 2.5 hour nap and it is already 8pm. Read on.

I slept in the big room, thinking I would be woken up at 6am to take over Max time.

But when I woke up at 730am and checked in on the familia, they were both lights outs.

Minutes later they were awake and Bex told me the great news. Max had slept in his cuna from 845pm until 630am…uninterrupted!!

Madre leche’d him up and got another hour of sleep out of the deal. Score.

Max and I had our AM rutina and the town is crazy full of peeps. There are the winter peeps, the ones who come down around Christmas and hang out a few months, there are the Chilangos who are on vacation from DF, and today there was a cruise ship in town so there were a ton of older, pasty looking peeps hanging around.

That meant the zocalo was full of peeps admiring the lil’guy. We had a few conversations, but most of Max’s time was spent in the kiosko playing with a few niños and their pelotas.

Max LOVED it and wore himself out. His footwork is getting much better and today we had no spills, a few close calls, but no spills.

He is definitely having some stranger anxiety as he is very selective with who he will run up to and show his belly vs who he will allow to pick him up.

Some of the senoritas are triste because they used to get all his lovin and now he will say hola…but don’t pick me up!!

Home for more leche and the first siesta…at 11am. If it is a long one, it will dictate whether or not we go for siesta #2. A short one and our normal rutina kicks in.

This is the only foto of the día. It is raro…you might want to save it.

This is the lil’guy asleep…almost 2.5 hours into his siesta. Wow…he must have needed it.

What we found out later is that he is fighting a stomach bug and that might be why he needed the zzzz.

Max y madre tried for a second siesta later in the día, but he did not want to sleep, just laze around with his madre.

After the loooong nap, we all ate a lat lunch and I headed off to el ginmasio. Half way through the workout I sense these 4 ojo staring at me and look up. It is mi familia on the bici and with Max wearing his new casco, helmet!!

He finally is ok with the helmet and it is a new one from Canada, so we feel better about the two of them out and about in Huatulco.

Great to see the familia and after a quick hola y besos, off they went.

When I was done, off to Che where it was a zoo. But as per usual, no impatient Mexicans were to be found.

Not a big list, but did need some tea bags for Bexico. Who goes to Canada and forgets only 2 things…both important to herself?

We will have to send out the 911 for orange pekoe tea and Fibre 1 bars!!

Headed home, prepped la cena and then the familia went for a stroll and Max showed off some more of his dance moves. No less then a dozen peeps say hola to him and ask him if he will be dancing today. Hilarious.

Home for la cena and the PM rutina. Dinner was good and we had a quick FT with mi hermana y padres while Max was having his soak in the tina.

PM rutina over and madre has the first 30 minutes of bedtime and then the Niño Whisperer will head in.

Mañana? Hoping for some more fotos!! Ja ja ja

It will be crazy around here for the next 2 weeks…hola to lots of time at Mojon.

Have a great jueves.
