This could have been Max looking for his Poppa to catch up with him, or it could have been Max checking to see if he is being followed by the señora who tapped him on his casco as he rode by her.

He HATES being touched by all the peeps who want to grab his arm, play with his hair or pat him on his head or casco.

He wipes his arm like it is covered with germs and then he needs an abrazo. But...if you just treat him like the individual that he is, he may say hola hola and he might even give you a choque.

We are going to make a sign that will be taped onto his casco and it will say No Tocar...no touching!!

We always explain why Max acts the way he does, because without that, peeps think he is being rude or is angry. Today, the señora fully understood and even nodded in agreement.

Ok...onto the día.

Buenos tardes!! Here is what the Weather Network is saying about our current weather.

But I can tell you they are in need for an update!! We have dark nubes over the montañas and the thunder is rumbling. With the familia out for a bici tour...we might be headed for some lluvia.

One thing the Network does have correct is the temperatura...they should just change the numbers and call it "stinking hot"!!

Currently 240pm and the nube have moved into town.

We had a very good noche!! The bed time took longer then I would have liked, but it was good in the sense that Max fell asleep in his cuna. No small feat.

Asleep from 830pm-330am and then we had a panale y playera pit stop and then back asleep in the cuna until 615am...score!!

Videos and then onto tranquilo time...sin panale!! And right after he had his ginchies on, Max told me he needed to go and off we went. Score!! It looked like the start to a smooth morning. And how wrong I was...keep reading.

Max showed the moves, time for some serious business, so off to the baño we went and after 15 minutos on the baño, iPad in hand, nada, nothing!!

Back into the palacio and time to wet the ginchies. Max forgot to tell me he had to go. Onto the 2nd pair of ginchies.

Onto desayunos and more of the "I am sick" chat. No desayunos and into the palacio. Max saw me eating some pan tostado and decided to have some, so I made more and then he told me he was sick again.

I grabbed his bici from the landing and told him that since he was ill, we would stay home and make sure he was feeling better. If he ate a few small cubes of pan and felt better, we would go for our bici tour.

Un milagro...the toast was eaten and Max felt better. So off we went and we headed to the panificadora to grab a rollo canela, something I knew Max would eat some of.

A good tour and then a pit stop at SCA for some hamburger buns before heading to the condo for a swim...which never happened.

We came home and Max stayed near the green square by the front of the building, and I went upstairs to drop off some things and grab swim shorts etc.

I get back downstairs and find Max has been slapping (?) the white paint on the tree, and has now skinned his palms. Who keeps slapping a tree until it hurts? Max Van.

We start walking to the pool and the tears flow and when I tried to wash the hands at the pool, he was having none of it...pool session cancelled. Argh.

We run into madre on her way to join the familia at the pool, and we all head back upstairs. Doc madre took care of the lil'man and then they climbed onto the big bed for libros and leche.

It was approaching 1130am and time for Bex y madre to hit the small bedroom and put Max down for a siesta. Max was hanging out with his Poppa and I went into the bedroom to find madre asleep on the bed.

Bex has caught a cold and is low on energy...doph. I sent her back to bed in the big bedroom and took over siesta duty and 15 minutos later, the lil'man was lights out and stayed that way for 70 minutos.

Bex woke up at around the same time and took over Max watch as I settled in for an afternoon of Nascar!!

Another set of wet ginchies and the next thing I know, Max is running around in the buff. Lunch in the buff, dishes in the buff and some mopping too!!

I helped get the lil'man ready for the 2nd tour of the day...getting him ready can be a chore...and ta-da, the familia is out the door and I am on lap 66 (out of 160) on the race.

So...onto the fotos.

Have you ever seen such a down trodden face on such a cute lil'man?

It looks like it might hurt to crack a smile.

But we get one anyhow!!

Max contemplating the situation involving the señora who patted him on his casco.

Misc foto. Gotta thank the Agua Vitel peeps for lugging up 19 litros to my front door.

Next time, can you please not leave it in front of the door...blocking my ability to open the screen door? Doph!!

Ok...tina filled, vacuum done...time for the mop.

I will finish this off after tina time.

Hasta pronto.

Buenos tardes and welcome to a wet 720pm update!! Just as Max and I were about to start our post-cena bici tour...the skies opened up in a big way. Torrential downpour that lasted most of our 25 minuto prowl.

We had a fun walk, having come back to the condo for the capa y paraguas. Max loves to watch the taxis drive through the wet calles and peeps love to watch Max watching the taxis!!

We walked through the tiangus, trying to stay dry and as we passed through the comedor economico side, we were greeted with no less then 10 "hola Max". Of course we were. And a neat occurrence? Rain when we entered one side of the tiangus and it was not raining when we exited 1 minuto later!!

As it is 725pm, Max is in the midst of leche y libros and the musica is about to be fired up..buen suerte. Bex is going to call it a night and get a great sleep, hoping it will shake off this gripe, cold.

As for the rest of the afternoon...a great race, congrats Junior, and then an easy dinner which Max ate a ton of. And as we were finishing up, he had a look on his face that I recognized as something wasn't right...he had to pee.

I got him out of the highchair pronto and we got to his potty on time. Success!! Not quite "telling" us he had to go, but he sure let us know. Phew...I wonder how long this will take? Ja ja ja

Easy clean up and it was only the Boys on the prowl, giving Bex some tranquilo time.

And you are all caught up.

Have a great holiday lunes if you celebrate this civic holiday.

Hasta mañana.

Calcetín, sock, in hand, Max takes a pre bici tour lay down.

Buenos tardes!! A pretty eventful day here in Huatulco...keep reading. Our dry streak continues but at least today we have a small breeze to help move the hot air from point A to point B.

According to the update, there is no wind...but there is. And they say it is 33,0 feeling like 45,0....strike 2. It must be closer to 100,0 out there!! Ja ja ja

And somewhere in that heat, mi familia is prowling the centro before heading home for a swim, Max's 2nd of the día, and then upstairs for Bubba Burger sábado!!

The rest of the día? We had the quick start to the noche...asleep by 815pm, but an hour later the lil'man was up in his cuna....he had soaked through a playera already. What niño sweats through a t-shirt in a room with the a/c set at 27,0 grados? Max Van does.

Anywho...playera change and then an attempt at getting back to sleep...with no success. Time to call in the big guns...Shmummy Mummy and 15 minutos later the lil'man was back asleep. Phew.

The rest of the noche was great...asleep in the cuna until 540am, into Poppa's arms at 541am, asleep at 542am and we stayed that way, asleep, until 640am. Score!!

Videos, tranquilo time and then desayunos. For the past few days, Max has been complaining about a sore belly, normally during breakfast and sometimes at dinner. We are not sure if it is a legit complaint, but we will take him to see our pediatra on lunes.

But it did mean he ate a smaller breakfast and then was a-ok as we got ready to go on the tour...and he was a-ok the rest of the morning. Wacko Maxo? Ja ja ja

Onto a tour and we were off to the campo. Lots of fun there and Max got off his bici and spent 15 minutos chasing and playing with a balon, soccer ball, that was not being used. He loved it, worked up a huge sweat, and then we headed home for our dip in the CP alberca.

There, we met a group of 4 niños on vacacione and they had a huge inflatable langosta, lobster, that Max fell in love with...of course he did. One of the niñas was enamoured with Max and convinced the niños to let him go for a ride...he was in pool heaven.

She spoke a little ingles and Max called her "amiga" and said adios when he headed upstairs for libros y leche. They are here for a week and I am sure Max will see his 8 year old amiga again. Oh Max!!

The leche y libros came easy...due to the 640am wake up, the siesta not so much. Madre called in The Niño Whisperer and after some convincing, the goggles as we call them, went over his ojos and Max was lights out, and snoring, in 15 minutos!!

A 65 minuto siesta and he bolted straight up and was blabbering in some foreign language, then leaned over, gave me a kiss and told me he loved me...he was awake!!

Off to the gym and then home for putter and clean up time and that was my afternoon. The familia had some play time, sorted through some juguetes, toys, that are going to be donated, and then had their prowl.

Currently 5pm, the fries are in the oven and the familia is at the alberca. Onto the fotos.

After business, the panale was gone gone gone and Max was into his Old Navy ginchies. I wanted a foto and this was his way of avoiding me...kinda.

The foto tree...oh yes, we will get a smile!! Also, note the grey shorts...sin panale!!

At a busy intersection with some wacky lights...and many drivers that just ignore them anyway. I love the expressions on Max's face as he watches the lights change. He knows what we are waiting for.

At the campo and we saw all these peeps in the middle of some game. There were 4 lines and I think the goal was to see how long you could stretch the line, but still holding onto something between the peeps.

These guys took it muy serio...we saw belts, socks, shirts and pants being used. Muy tonto.

And after they were all done, it was time for a tug of war.

And thinking Max would only chase the balon for a minute, we left his casco on.

Note the red shorts.

Finally without casco!!

We arrived at the otro campo and as Max was running around in his grey shorts, he forgot he had no panale on. No crisis...Poppa was prepared...hola hola to the red shorts!!

Later in the day Max was in his palacio and told us he had to go, and ta da...baño success. And when he returned from his prowl con madre...he was packing not one, but two wet pairs of shorts. Doph.

I just heard madre y Max downstairs and Max just told his madre he has done another pee pee. We are working on Max understanding the "before it happens" vs the "after it happens". Stay tuned!!

And from the crappy Sony DSC W730...we actually had a few keepers, courtesy of Bex.

At playa Santa Cruz, one of Max's amigas is trying to lead him somewhere, and he is having none of it!!

Must keep the liquidos flowing in this hot weather.

You have all been warned...beware the tongue!!

A quick call to Oma.

Some niños at playa Santa Cruz. They come there on their own, from Pochutla I think (1 hour away) and sell trinkets on the beach.

All this manhandling...for a cachorro, puppy?

Letting the boards dry after a hard day on the olas.

Peeps eat the green ones, not the black ones. Good tip to know.

An amiga de Bex's...and her lil'one.

Max. don't get your hopes up...you will get a perro before una hermana!!

Buenos noches!! All good here. Yummy dinner, easier clean up, the bici tour, tina time and the musica is about to start. Another 25 minuto bed time...fingers crossed.

Mañana...hola hola to race domingo and I still need to figure out what we are eating para la cena...doph.

Have a great Sunday y hasta mañana.
