A little hot, and very tired Maxowaxo.

You want more videos...you get more videos!! Maybe THIS video will give us some insight into why Maxowaxo wakes up before 5am?

And here are the wacky fotos that accompany the wacky video.

Back from a game of tennis, Max "Bjorn" Van cleans some dishes.

And then decides to hop on his bici for a little ride around the casa.

But safety first...hola hola to the casco. And of course the mochila had his travel supplies.

Chin strap issue.

Off to the cocina. ¿Por qué?

Hello...time to check out the basura.

And then into the sala to play with his blocks. Max likes to point out the objects on the bloques, count them in español and then say the letras en ingles.

As for our día...currently 445pm and it is hot!! Not only 30,0 grados outside, but the oven is at 400 as the lomo de cerdo cooks away. Yummy!!

Not sure if last night's sleep could have been any worse. Looking for the good...Max fell asleep in his cuna, on his own, at 730pm.

But take all that away if he could only not wake up every 2 hours, and if 430am was not his preferred wake up time. I actually think he wanted to fall back asleep, but he just couldn't make it happen. The only two tricks that were left in "the book" and that in my half open eye state, I forgot, were to change the panale, and to see if he was hungry.

In hindsight, I think Max tuvo (past tense of "tu" in the verbo tener, to have) hambre as his dinner was not very large, and once truly awake, he drank 2 bottles of leche. Yikes.

So, from 430am'ish until 630am, we tried to get back to sleep, and settled on mainly being tnt. Out came the videos and we were in the Palacio by 715am.

Pan frances miercoles and then a short prowl and home by 10am for leche and siesta. But first there was some silly time...and I think that riled Max up...doph.

But asleep at 11am and awake again at 145pm...score!!

Bubba off to el gimnasio and then home for the usual pre-cena rutinas and the familia cooked a gorilla cheese sandwich before jumping into the camioneta verde and heading to playa Entrega, which translates to playa Surrender.

This playa is about 15 minutos away from our casa, a long drive in Huatulco terms, and is about 10 minutes past Santa Cruz. It is an ok playa in the sense that the olas are chico, easy for Max to enjoy his oceano time.

I expect them home in 20 minutos and then onto leche y la cena. So...onto the rest of the fotos.

From this mornings AM prowl, the lil'man with his new gorra.

It took 5 minutes to get him to look at me so I could take the foto. Oh Max.

Max's new rutina in the parque, includes inspecting the bancos for paloma poo poo.

He knows they do their business on top, and he is very diligent in no touching...no tocar as we say.

This banco passed muster, so time for a pit stop.

A little off roading.

Here he is looking under the bushes for the "silly palomas" that were chasing each other around.

Ok, that's all for now. Maybe I will go surf the web looking for another news article I can link for you.

I will finish this off esta noche. Hasta pronto.

Buenos noches y disaster averted!! Moments after being put into his highchair and having his cena placed in front of him, Max wanted out of "the cage" as he calls it. He went into meltdown mode and we hadn't even had a bite of our own cena yet...argh.

But all he wanted was to sit on the couch and use the side table as his mesa. Phew. He sat in between his padres and was fed from both sides. Thrilled to report he ate a huge cena and at 645pm with round one already under way, this bodes well for a good nights sleep...knock on madera y buen suerte!!

How was the familias afternoon? They had a super fun time at the playa and once home, Max made mention of "no olas", meaning he went into the oceano and enjoyed himself!!

The familia was home in time for some bici practice and Bex says Max is getting better each time he gets on!! Score!!

Dinner was oh so good, follow that with the dance party, a tranquilo tina time and bedtime is under way. And that mis amigos, was another día in Huatulco.

Hoping, please oh please, for a good nights sleep...stay tuned.

Have a great jueves!! If Bex is feeling better...hola hola to Bubba burritos on playa Mojon!!

Hasta mañana.

One fuerte, strong, niño!!

Due to an overwhelming amount of requests for videos, HERE is one of the lil'man, hot off the press. It is titled "1:51 in the day of the life of Max". Enjoy!!

Ok, onto our día.

A quick bedtime, 30 minutos con madre and 20 con Poppa. Lights out in the cuna. Max is still having lots of dreams and had his usual pre-10pm wake up, staring at the corner of the room before laying back down and falling asleep.

Only 2 wake ups during the noche and both were resolved with a little hand on the back action. Good news in the sleep department? Max slept the complete noche in his cuna!! The so-so news? The noche ended at 545am. Ja ja ja

If he wakes up at 430am or 5am, we can usually get him back to sleep and sometimes score another 2 hour sleep cycle. A 545am wake up and all he does is smile and enjoy the rocking I am giving him, trying to get him back to sleep.

Videos until 7am and then onto Palacio time and then desayunos. I thought breakfast was going to be tough as he said he did not want anything but huevos, but I got him to eat a huge bowl of oatmeal (con canela...of course, as Max would say), salchichas, all his fruta sin mango AND his huevos.

Oh, and throw in a Gerber bottle of prunes...which if I had waited 15 minutos I would have discovered they were not needed!! Ja ja ja

The plan was to run some errands and then get back home in time for familia swim, pre-siesta. But...after a pit stop at the banco, then off to get some blood drawn, pit stop at the hospital to confirm they have a supply of the flu shot for the lil'man, then to Fonatur to drop off our recycling...and then onto Che for a huge order ($1200 pesos)...we were already at 10am and Max was looking pooped.

So off for leche con madre and then into siesta mode. Poppa joined in on some of that action and the next thing you know, it was a shorty 90 minuto siesta and Maxo was listo...ready to go.

Off to the pool for the familia swim and then Poppa got ready for el gimnasio and the familia cooked their comida together. Max loves cooking!! Soon there will be 2 people that do the cooking here...oh Bubba!!

I hit the gym and then off to make the cita con el doctor, grab the blood test results (more on that later) and then home to putter around before clean up time and cena prep. Hola hola to pollo muslo y arroz para la cena!!

The familia ate their comida then headed out to the far end of playa Chahue for some prowling, and then they were off to Rosario's Palacio.

All good with the familia and Max had his first brush with a physically pushy niño. I guess Skyler was having a mood and gave Max a hard shove. Max, not having experienced anything like that before, was taken aback, but Bex had a good chat with him and if you ask him what happened, he will tell you that Skyler pushed him...and then was given a time out by his madre!!

Home for leche y la cena, the dance party, tina time, FT con Oma y Opa and then during bedtime, a FT con Grandma Rosie. Round one is under way...buen suerte.

So...onto the fotos.

Maxo ready for some familia swim time.

But first he is getting muy emocionado about the shipment of Lego that was ordered on eBay, sent to Victoria BC and then onto some place in Alberta and then finally arrived into Huatulco via our amiga Roseanne.

Typical Van issue...too much noodle to deal with. Oh Max.

Our lil'scuba man.

From ayer, Max at the skatepark.

Misc fotos.

Spotted this on the way home from el gimnasio. This is an ad for the Corona Mega. Would you prefer 2 of these 1.2 litro bottles for $48 pesos, roughly $4 Cdn?

Or one of the Familiar size, 960ml, for $23 pesos...just under $2 Cdn.

2.4 litros of cerveza for $4 Cdn? Craziness!!

Our lil'architect busy at work with his Lego.

And use #98 for an iPad?

That was Max tanquing up pre-cena. Madre? Sneaking in a few minutos personal time!!

Misc tidbits.

It got hot around here pretty quick. Only enero and we felt a big difference in the humido. Love Huatulco...hate the humido...argh. No crisis...more time at the playa and in the alberca!!

How is Bubba's health? Glad you asked. I had more blood work done this morning, with Maxowaxo watching in amazement as the sangre flowed from my arm into the needle. Picked up the resultados this afternoon and everything is in the normal range. Score!!

I set up an appointment with our local doc, Doctor Carillo and will see him on jueves for an exam. Stay tuned.

How am I celebrating the results? A Crown Royal!! The first "drink" I have had since I had a few cold ones with mi amigo in Whistler!!

Bex uses the crappy Sony DSC W730...and gets better results then I ever did!! Any who...I used to be able to take maybe 75 fotos before the battery needed to be recharged. The new Canon T3i? I have taken 851 fotos and no need to recharge yet. Score!!

After posting the link to yesterday's news story, the response of "that happens to me too!!" was so overwhelming, that I browsed the web for another interesting story, and courtesy of The Vancouver Sun, HERE it is. Enjoy!!

Bex tiene gripe...she has a cold. Time for Poppa to step up!!

Ok, you are all caught up.

Have a great miercoles.

Hasta mañana.
