Buenos noches!!

There is waaaay too much literature on the web to explain why, but we still don’t understand what makes Max wake up, wide awake, at 2am and stay that way until 4am. Huh?

Madre gave it a go for 90 minutes, went through all the tricks in the book, but alas, the Niño Whisperer was awoken and went in to give it a shot. It took 30 minutes but we were asleep at 4am…and up at 630am Oh Max!!

Padre managed to laze around until 730am, while Max leche’d up and prowled the bedroom.

We had our usual AM rutina and a fun walk. A good siesta, not as long as either of us would have liked, but when the lil’guy pops up and then decides to get up, you get up.

Madre took over and had a Skype con Max’s Ontario abuelos. After that, it was tiempo para comida and then they went to the playa. I hit el gimnasio and then grabbed some sol at the alberca.

A quick walk con Max while madre set us up for la cena y the PM rutina.

Good dinner, a FT con the abuelos and then tina time and Max fell asleep in his cuna while madre sang to him. Success!!

So, at 830pm, Max is asleep, having stirred once, Bex is baking some oh so yummy banana bread, and I am doing what I normally do at this time of the día.

Some fotos?

Prowling the 3rd floor landing before going out for our walk.

What says niño better then a puddle...and the niño in the puddle?

There is a foto missing before this next one. It would be of Max bending over and putting his hand into the puddle. Oh Max.

At least he comes to me with his hand ready to be wiped.

Not sure why, but these cans of Coca Light made Max go goofy. Look at his smile.

Then all serious as he tries to take a 6 pack home!!

And muy curioso when the puerta behind him opened up.

And then it was time to practice his sitting. Check out the poses...what a character!!

We dropped into the foto store to get some fotos printed for Silverio. Max saw the senorita cleaning, so he grabbed her cloth and started cleaning the glass in the display case.

A few fotos from the walk to el gimnasio.

You see these guys all around town, honking their horns to let the peeps know that fresh tortillas are for sale. One kilo for $15 pesos.

Just a perro finding some sombra, shade.

Dos hombres lugging a gas stove around town.

And some fotos from our pre-cena walk. The mission was a pit stop at Santa Cruz Abarrotes and then onto the panificadora for a muffin.

Our latest divertido (fun) is taking the cart through SCA. Peeps love to watch Max with his cart!!

Mañana? Eating banana bread on the playa at Mojon!! Then some Superbowl con mi hijo…a perfect domingo!!

Hasta mañana.

Buenos noches!!

Another busy day for the familia!!

Max was up at 530am…what? Not sure this going to bed early is the best thing for us. Well us is actually madre who takes most of the overnight shifts and was up at 530am with the lil’guy.

I had the luxury of sleeping in until 7am…gracias madre!!

Then the boys wolfed down a ton of desayunos and headed out the door to run our list of errands.

Madre was lights out and Griselda, our cleaner, was due at 9am, so I left a note for her to buzz the door bell and Bex would come and let her in.

Little did I know that at 945am when we returned, Bex would have just woken up!! Griselda buzzed the door for 30 minutes before Bex stirred!! Poor madre…consada, tired.

As for the errands, the boys paid the Telmex bill and then went to Bancomer in Santa Cruz, waited 10 minutes in line and were finally told our $$ were not there. We were missing a number from the verification code?

It wasn't until I got home and rechecked the email, that I realized I was supposed to go to Banamex, not Bancomer. Doph!!

So we headed to Che and grabbed our weekend eats. No scores…no leche fresco. Doph.

Headed home in time to see madre wake up (ja ja ja) and then after a leche tanque up…the boys had their 2 hour plus nap!! Lights out!!

After that it was comida time and then off to look for this water parque.

I knew it was on the way to the aeropuerto and it was located near Piedra de Moros, Stone of Moros. But where that was…no sé!!

So we took an exit up a dirt road and did not see a water parque. Bex with the better español, asked a senora where the parque was located and off we went back up the highway.

We passed the rancho we had been told about and came upon another dirt road that had quite a bit of traffic. No signage for the water parque, but we did see a sign talking about Piedra de Moros…success!!

A short wait due to some road construction and after another 5 minutes of driving…ta-da!!

In the middle of a barrio, a small village, here is this fairly new water parque. Only $70 pesos per adulto and the cervezas are only $15!!

There was a group of 4 joven and other then that, no one else!!

We had a fun time and Max seemed to enjoy himself. The slides? Not so much, but with his madre y padre he did go down the small one a few times. But for him, it was more about climbing the stairs or just splashing in the agua.

After playing in the water, off to the niño area for some more playing.

Had to partake in some cheap suds and test their French fries and then it was time to head home.

We will probably not be going back anytime soon. Fun and all, but Max would be fine in our own pool or at Mojon.

Here are the fotos.

The two slides for adultos.

Niño slides y alberca.

And the area infantil.

Not sure if Disney gets a cut, but nice to see Minnie Mouse is in charge of recycling.

Pelotas y más pelotas.

Max preferred walking up the slides vs going down them.

The 2 boys striking a similar pose.

As madre said, we could have stayed home and just bought Max some banderas, flags. Ja ja ja!!

He likes the swing, but just does not show it.

Padre y Max are headed to try out this other ride.

You can tell how much Max enjoys the ride, by the death grip he has on my playera. Good to see the agua has tames padres oso hair!!

Maybe we need to build a casa like this at Mojon for Max?

And here is the little man himself!!

Once home, time for la cena and the PM rutina and you are all caught up.

Plans for fin de semana? Mañana will be a gym day as I have missed 2 days this week.

Domingo? Maybe some time at Mojon and then the boys will make a round at Pucks while the Superbowl is on. Show off Max’s touchdown pose, maybe some fries and a glass of suds and then home to watch the rest of the game and eat Bubba burgers!!

Hey…it is Feb 1!! I know you are aching to read about the weather stats from enero, so here they are!!

We had average lows of 25,7 and highs of 31,7 with very little humido until the past few nights. Compared to enero de 2012, we saw temperatures during the day that were .4 grados higher then last year, but at night they were 1,6 grados higher!! Mucho calor and not a drop of rain was spotted last month.

What can we expect for febrero? Last year we saw 25,4 and 32,1 as our averages, so pretty much the same as we have just experienced.

Ok, have a great weekend!!
