Buenos noches!!

We had a great day…laughing Max kept us on our toes.

A good walk around town, some time at the pool where he was admired by all, throw in some naps and leche, JJ time, tummy time, FT con mis padres, more pool time, a walk to grab some Coca Light (doph), his rutina…and that kinda wraps up his día.

Max is now raising his butt when he is on his tummy and Bexico tells me this is a prelude to crawling!! Huatulco…watch out!!

Now Max did sleep in until 745am…which was really 645am. And we really don’t know how long he was awake prior to Bex opening her ojos!! When she awoke, he was patiently looking at her and out the window!!

I read online that there was another terremoto…earthquake. We felt nothing this time…all safe and sound here!

The town is crazy full of chilangos, but so far the condo complex has remained fairly quiet. And in one weeks time that may all change when mis padres come to visit!!

So let’s get to the reason you are all here anyway…fotos!!

Max waking up from nap #1.

From our walk around town.

Cement bags from all the work being completed next door.

We were parked next to the site...too much dirt flying in the air. Hoping it is all completed in a few weeks.

This senorita was counting the tortillas she had bought for the tlayudas she sells. She has rejected one.

And then she got the hombre to carry them to her restaurante.

Some had some cocos dropped off and are now currently being shaded from el sol.

Not sure what these niños were excited about.

Everyday Max and I go for a walk, we pit stop to say hola to all the senoras (y un muxe) selling their fruits y verdura. There are a few comedor economico there and this padre has grabbed some desayunos and is having a car hood picnic con hija.

Click HERE to read more about muxe.

King Max surveying the alberca before dipping his pies in.

From my gym walk.

Someone works at IMMS...and has to do their own laundry!!

Looking down the boulevard.

One big happy BonIce familia!!

It must be Semana Santa. I have not seen these tiendas open in weeks!!

Not sure what they are carrying and selling. But they look heavy and it was 33,0 grados!!

Tough market for sofa sales.

Again on the Semana Santa theme, this senorita has bought a bunch of hats and toallas and is trying to sell them to the tourists from DF before they hit the playa.

And she brought her well dressed hijo to carry the beach toys!!

Martes? Bexico has a Skype with a possible new client, I need to hit Fonatur with our recycling, and I think Che is in the works too.

Last foto.

That was the lil’hombre in his Bumbo chair while getting a feeding of oatmeal con leche de pecha!! Uh madre...my bowl is empty!!

Have a great Tuesday…time for me to eat one more of Bexico’s homemade Rice Crispy Squares!!

Hola amigos!!

915pm and we are chilling while watching a DVD.

Max did not handle the time change as well as we had hoped. Maybe because it was bright as day in his room when we tried to get him to sleep?

But he was asleep at 8pm…which would have been perfect if it was ayer…and 7pm!! Ja ja ja We will see how mañana goes….fingers crossed.

920pm update…the lil’hombre has Houdini’d himself and has one arm out of the sling…and is staring into the camera with both ojos open. Doph. Madre has gone in to fix him up and replace the soother. Fun times mis amigos!!

The morning rutina has become just that, the rutina. Bex had him first and when I got up…hello to a walk around centro. And being primero de abril de 2012, it is Palm Sunday.

From About.com…

Palm Sunday, the final Sunday before Easter Sunday, marks the beginning of Holy Week. Christian churches distribute palms (and sometimes pussy willows) on Palm Sunday to commemorate Christ's triumphal entrance into Jerusalem, when palm branches were placed in His path, before His arrest and Crucifixion on Good Friday.

Here is the iglesia in Huatulco…class is out!!

We saw lots of peeps walking out with their palm branches.

It is also April Fools día and I laughed at THIS WestJet video.

And at the start of a new month, time to check out the weather stats from marzo.

The lows were 25,9 grados vs 24,0 from marzo 2011, while the highs from this year were only slightly higher then last years, an average of 33,9 grados vs 33,5.

And what do we have to look forward to in abril? Last year we had average lows of 26,2 and highs of 35,0….and then the humido starts!!

Back to the day…

A hot walk around town and when we got back to the condo Max and I were greeted by Silverio y familia!! He had told me he would meet us at 10am…I guess he forgot the time change and thus Max and I left for our walk.

I passed Max off and came back to take some family fotos for mi amigo. Nice to meet his familia…it is considered an honor here. I made them all laugh with my Spanglish and a few chista…jokes.

Based on my experiences in Mexico, here is a typical family foto…note the smiles.

It made me laugh so hard. We are all chatting and laughing and as soon as I start to take a foto, the smiles, the sonrisas, disappear. Ja ja ja

But after some quick dialogue, I ended up with this foto.

And here is Silverio’s esposa y 3 month old niña.

Here are the fotos from the walk around centro.

This foto was in the blog from ayer. What I forgot to mention was the hombre in the right of the foto.

He is un maestro, a school teacher, at the school across from the papelería. I have seen him no less then 4 times...and every time he has a Coca Cola in his hand!!

Sunday mornings...might not be prime gas appliance selling time?

I liked the colors in this next foto.

A busy morning at this comedor...a comedor economico.

A hard working hombre. In the heat, he is carrying a bag full of ladies sandals...right past the zapatería...shoe store. Doph.

The rest of the day was tranquilo domingo and that included Nascar, a nap and some alberca time. Sounds exactly like what Max’s day was like!!

Max actually had an early swim con madre and then spent 20 minutes plus on the JJ. The kid was laughing and smiling the whole time and is on his way to setting the World Record for the highest JJ jump!!

Overall, a great day that ended with hamburguesa domingo!!

Mañana…a new week starts and it will be a crowded centro y alberca. Might have to hit Mojon a few times over the next few weeks.

Hasta mañana.
